what's the name of the company that sells the harness?
How did you supply switched power to the ecu?
Awesome vid man; I’m doing a vr6 swap in my 98 tdi Jetta; had a bad crank sensor but fingers crossed should start once sensor gets here; been missing my mk3 vr6 I owned for 10 years can’t wait to vr again!!!! Awesome build man!!!
Hey did this harness come with connectors for the 2 oxygen sensors and knock sensor behind the motor?
mine did!
Where do you plug the black connector on the cluster harness?
The black connector goes to the fuel pump power wire supplied in the harness
Hey does this harness allowed you to run the heater and a/c asking to see if available because is cold where I live so I need at least heat.. and does it allowed have working lights
Awesome videos man! I’m definitely going to be rewatching your uploads once I get this harness. Only thing I’m unsure of is if I should get the standard length or extended. Would there be enough room to run it thru the firewall and have the ECU located inside if I went standard length?
Not seeing the benefit from getting this? U don’t need this for a tuck does it allow any more information to a standalone or is it 500$ for a brand new one because vw discontinued?
Pretty much cause VW discontinued. The thing with wiring new engines into older bodies now is that you can only really do it 3 ways. You can do it yourself if you know how, you can ship it to the few guys in the world that specialize in these, or this company. So far Eurowise is one of the only companies ive seen offer a price concious alternative to getting a brand new wiring harness from VW.
good vid . any idear what the two relays on the loom are for. i assume one for fuel pump .
Good video man. Sesh need this on their website.
Transmission tunnel........thats what it's called....if you live in norcal like i do , you're going to want the heater......and the A/c , besides its not that difficult to hook both of them up , you could even swap in a mk 3 dash if you have an angle grinder and a welder........i did the r32 swap in my mk2....the 12v vr6 is still a kick in the ass as far as performance......the r32 is just ......wow.....if you need parts of any kind for a mk2......let me know , i got tons of body parts , g60 fenders ....you name it.
Im doing mine for a slc corrado bt im lost on each conector even i when one by one pin fro ecu
Burn off is normal when doing stuff like this, oil from your hands burning off the exhaust, spilled things, etc. A few heat cycles should take care of that. As for the cluster, mk3 vr6 clusters are plug and play. Mk2 clusters run rpm off of an analogue signal, and mk3 is digital, which is why they get tach converters to convert to a digital vr6 signal to an analogue signal for mk2 clusters to read. If you want to run an mk2 cluster, you can pull a signal off the coil pack, or get a tach converter. For speedo you can get a speedo cable from S&P automotive that plugs right into the vr6 trans and mk2 cluster.
how much money you paid for the wire harness?
The harness was about $550 from SeshMotorsports
okay thanks
hey bro did you have to upgrade your gas tank from mk2 to mk3?? I got a 3.2l that I'm swapping into my mk2 . some people upgraded the gas tank
Hey man! No i didnt need to upgrade my gas tank but you can if you want to!
Question have you had a Chance to check your codes.. i also have a sesh harness but for some reason the coolant temp sensor isnt reading at all.. Could you send me photo of your pins on your yellow temp sensor? You can find my on Facebook kennard reynolds
Hey which wire did you splice in for your fuel lead ?
it should be the Red/Yellow wire, thats the wire that provides power to the fuel pump
Hey I had a question I’m doing a swap like yours but I can’t seem to get the starter to crank through the ignition any advice will be appreciated thanks.
You have to dissect your starter cables out of your old harness and plug them into your fuse box so they start with the key. I dissected mine, extended it so i can run it through the fender and connected it back into my starter system. It should be 3 wires with one connector that goes into the fuse box and 2 connectors on the other end that go into your starter
What did you use for the rad fans ?
Hey! the Rad is actually an independent system from S&P. Its their radiator and their automatic fan control system so its completely independent also. just needs power and a ground and the radiator fans will kick on at 70c or 77c whichever temp you choose during checkout! s-pautomotive.com/product/sp-radiators/
Thank you so much You have no idea how much this video helped
Thanks for watching! Im glad i was able to help!
Nice video Man ! Doing a swap aswell!
