I have watched this mi in probably 5 to 10 times a year ever since I 1st saw it on big screen at theater when it made the rounds all over country... I'M 75 NOW own VCR tape , DISC ECT... I HAVE A BIG COLLECTION OF MUSICALS ...we practiced all the moves of every dancer we saw.. I finally saw Debbie before she passed when she still did stage shows at casinos she still was wonderful...and the fact that most of the talented sinder/ dancers/actor were about my height and weight made it better... I adored Jane Powell ....another favorite film of everyone in family is 7 Seven Brides For Seven Brothers. .Jane did many films as a teen.. great voice great dancer. KISS me Kate the dance routines in all three of these films are awesome...the male dancers are spectacular. Too bad Holleywood went to all the special effects and stopped making ready great films like these and I still get a kick out of movies like I Love Melvin and orhibal Toby Gillis.. with Debbie playing Pansy..Donald O'Connor actually did a dance routine on skates that belonged to actress Coreen Cochran she was skating and he was trying to cheer her up.. he put skates on and do a great routine on the band stand..long belong Gene did it in another film... I miss the comedy - mysteries like The Fuller Brushman The Ape with Ritz Brother and Pasty Kelly and the Topper Mvies ..ect
