We're just getting started. On this channel you will find myself (Shane) and my brother (Chris) taking on projects with little to no prior knowledge most times. Our endeavors will be powered by what information we can find online such as RUclips How-To's, Google searches, Facebook and forum posts, etc.
Will it run? Old-ish Broadway Limited N-Scale Alco PA with DCC & Sound - Trains with Shane Ep98
Today's subject is something that I kindof came across on accident after losing an eBay auction. It's a Broadway Limited Alco PA in MKT colors. This unit has DCC and Sound and I picked it up from Trainz for under $100 before taxes and shipping. Let's see if it runs. Also it is probably worthwhile to watch till the end. Just sayin.

Today we have a used locomotive that I picked up from a local friend. It has seen at least 3 prior owners that I know of at this point and I suspect more lol. Today we have a decent looking but still used Atlas N scale SD35 in the Southern Pacific Santa Fe merger scheme often called "Kodachrome". This is a DCC unit that I picked up off of eBay for a decent price which is rare as Kodachrome units typically go for primo money. Not going to lie. I only bought this thing because it was a Kato and will probably run and because it's a demo unit. But I think it's a custom painted unit that while looks to have been painted decently enough, looks to have been done a long time ago because now it looks rougher than a stucco bathtub. For sentimental reasons I spent more than I normally would have deemed to be a reasonable amount for a used DC N scale Atlas GP38 in Chessie System colors. I'll explain why in the video. But this thing, while was in good condition, cosmetically, was certainly hiding at least a bit of questionable condition underneath. Will it run? Or can we make it run?
