Dennis Dart but It’s a Voith Engine Like an E200/300

This wasn’t sounding like a Euro 3 at all,It sounded more like a Enviro 400 trident,like all the Other Plaxton President has a Euro 3 sound.

This bus was called a Plaxton President Tranbus trident.

This bus did a lot of Kickdowns like an Enviro 400 does.

33047 used to do lot of kickdowns in the past since it was in First Essex.

Go Cornwall hasn’t even got one decent bus I got so voted working there The scanias fromm Brighton hove were meant to be ours at Newquay but then Plymouth stole them

I do like how optare buses feel cosy and never rattle much inside As a driver thought the cab is so uncomfortable

I’m not. Fan of anything Dennis as a driver but these were fun to drive on the 93 when I was there The other drivers said horrible old sheds but I like unrestricted power

I went on this and it was fast, responsive and are ideal for the route, I have also been on and by first ever mpd was gn04ucy, and then got 1620 back also lucky kinda is ucy is avaliable in model from cmnl, although usually as twin pack

33047 LN51 DVM is the Plaxton President in London from 2001-2012.

33047 was last seen in service on 21st March 2020 on the route 9,It caught a fire at Nerthermayne Roundabout it got scrapped first then it was withdrawn.So sad to hear that.

When beestons ran the 91, the timetable was extremely tight. Of all the runs i filmed on there, only 1 didnt have kickdown used throughout or hold gears. Was a great route for N94s. Well done though Will.

Will 2024 be it's last year

Attempted to ride this on my last visit this year but was severely delayed by traffic congestion around Seatoller. When the bus finally turned up (a Tridentviro) it was overcrowded to the point where the driver was letting people on for free, managed to get the back seats and a bit of thrash but when we caught up with the traffic around Keswick I and a few others got off because the traffic was so bad it was faster to walk! There were no cancellations causing the overcrowding by the way, the buses were just so delayed that they were running around like they had no timetable.

This bus sounds like Pointer 2s on 296.

RIP 33047 LN51 DVM 2012-2020 First Essex or either 2013-2020 could be the one or the other,I don’t know.

The Optare name is still used on diesel buses, the Switch name is used on electric buses and vans. Nice to see some big firms getting some Optares, they usually go to other manufacturers because of the long wait to receive the orders with them. I've been in one of these parked at the Barry Festival of Transport and it looked very nice inside!

Thought the Omnis had a sixth gear, making them six speed. Didn’t know they’re five geared/five speed!😮😮

This is my local line, I live a short walk away from Garth station! Can't stand the 197s, the seats are uncomfortable enough for the Chapman seats on the Sprinters to feel like luxury in comparison! TfW really should have stuck with the 170s, they were the best things that happened to the Maesteg line. Did you sample our rather rubbish "bus" system for the laughs as well? (StreetLites everywhere so I don't blame you if you didn't 😂)
