RA1171 Bosch Router Table Unboxing & Initial Impressions
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.3 года назад
This is an unboxing and initial impression of the Bosch RA1171 Router Table. Some of you keep observers may notice that I attached the base on backwards (Doh!) this doesn't affect the router table much in any way besides aesthetics though. I hope this is helpful in some way to anyone who may be in the router table market. I am always open to constructive criticism, but this is my first unboxing...

What does it mean for MDF to sag? Could you show an example of it?
Hi I plan on using sapele to redo some boat coaming. What type of Blade on the table saw is best for sapele?
Anyone know where to get the soft close hinges ?
I really liked this video. It's going to be the template that I use to build my grandniece a new toy box. Thanks for posting.
Now that’s a beauty 👍🇬🇧
Dude seriously, use a push stick
I'm a bit mystified by your apparent random use of glue... 🤔😂 Also, as someone else mentioned, you never described the rebating, I'm assuming you used the tablesaw or a router, no biggy... I gave you & sub & a like... 🤗 Good luck with your channel, mate... From the Emerald Isle 😎👍☘️🍺
Use a push stick! My Anxiety! Lol... great video otherwise, i enjoyed seeing this come together.
That pushstick is an ornament... not a finger-saver... 🙄😂
Can you write down the measurement?
I own an RA1181 and after using it for a little over a year, I can say I would not buy it or any Bosch router table again. They are popular because they're cheap, not because they're good. I've got a Jessem table on order and can't wait to up my routing game with it!
Personally, I would shellac all of those knots in the pine before painting. Resin eventually bleeding through is not a good look on an otherwise great project.
How are you going to rotate the base 180 degrees to install it correctly now you have put super glue to the screws?
Whats the measurements on this ?
I didn't see how you cut the rabbit to receive the panels. Did I miss that?
Hi! Did you noticed you have installed the cabinet base wrongly? I hope you have fixed it. BR!
That the only problem with most manufacturing they use that cheap board to build table, i just don't like the idea ,
Little Bear!! Love me some Little Bear
That's badass, the only thing I'd do different is the floor of the box, make it sturdier , just watching my own kids playing inside their toybox and how they jump in and out of it, and they are rough as hell on some their toys but anyways , but overall that's freakn awesome build sir. Great job, I'll be following.

Really nice work. Would be interesting to see and hear more detail. Especially how to fit the soft close hinges and what was the clear spray you used?
Yes please. This looks so simple yet elegant
Superbe travail 👍
They look great! Nicely done
Hey, thanks a bunch Vinnie!
Great video! Product looks very functional and well done!
Thanks!
Very nice work as always Fat Dragon. Have been eyeing one of these for myself and this video has given me some ideas on the direction I'll go for my shop. Keep up the good work! I'll have my eye out for the next video!
Thanks for the support Randall! I'm glad this video was able to help you out. New videos are in the works, so you wont have to wait long!
awesome man! Helpful idea using dumbbells to keep it level. Definitely using that strategy!
Thanks for the comment, I'm glad it was helpful!
Omg I love this!!! How do I reach you to comission a project? 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Great question. Currently I only get work from local word of mouth, but if anyone would like to commission a project they can contact me via E-mail and we can go from there. I will update my channel page with contact information.
Great work Papabear! We need more little pup in the next video! Maybe some workshop cats or something too! Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I couldnt get anything done with out all the "help" I get from the animals ha ha ha.
Awesome! You should do another video finishing up the bed.
Great suggestion! Unfortunately for this project the customer only asked for the headboard. But I could really use a new bed frame for myself. So, there might be a full bed video in the near future!
