Harp Review: Triskel by Artefakt (Germany)
the eyes closed part was CRAAAZY
Hallelujah, I guessed it, i think
SALVI harps are the best - unquestionably
❤😂makes me feel less bad about running away from choirs that are heavy on sopranos
she is literally screwing the harp very sexual indeed
This sounds like a good idea but for a complete beginner with a new harp and no teacher available, I think you need to dumb it down a bit.
yep!
Hallelujah
Halleluja
Halleluja????
I love you 😌 this was so helpful 💓
Muy Bueno, or however you say it in italian
Always using Schertler amplifications, which keep the sound super natural 🎉
Thank you for this video Chiara!! My favorite piece is “Watching the Wheat” Next is “The Minstrel’s Adieu to His Native Land”
Just loved this. Your joy and enthusiasm, is delightful, and very informative at the same time. Do you give private lessons on line.
@@b2tz7g thank you!! Yes I do give online lessons: calendar.app.google/Lyvfr454SAzKj8RQ9 Hope to work with you soon!! 🎵
Moi je veux bien mais l anglais ne m intéresse pas Pouvez-vous traduire en breton ou en français ?
Can’t wait to try this ! So clear and helpful !!!!
I have the sale harp as you and i am on love with her BUT I NEED TO SELL IT! I’ve developed heavy back problems from practicing hours on it and from transporting it…. Unfortunately…. I am so sad I need to leave this marvel of sound but I can’t sustain it any more !!! (I am 48 kegs and 1.60 cm…. Very petite)
Wonderfull❤
Totally not astonishing how many people don't know how to tune a harp. It'd be astonishing if more than a handful of people don't know how to tune a harp. I'd be astonished if I asked 100 people on Manchester city centre and found one person who knew how to tune a harp 😂😂😂
You are so cool
thanks!
I have a 35-string Merlin harp. The highest note is an A and the lowest note is a B. I gig all over the place with this harp, as it has plenty of range for my needs. It is lightweight, easy to move, and has a beautiful tone. In the past, I actually had a 38-string lever harp. It was heavy and cumbersome to move. The whole point in having a lever harp is portability! So, I got rid of it and went to a slightly smaller lever harp and never looked back.
Paparazzi?
Nope 🎵
@@chiarapedrazzettiarpatelie6470 I meant lady Gaga version not xzibit. Play it again and sing her notes, it'll fit. No? 😊
"I'm your biggest fan, I'll follow you until you love me" I just realized how lady Gaga took a lot of natural chord progressions from the soundtrack of grim fandango.
Another brick in the wall?
Yeees well done!!! 👍💯 🎶
is this freebird?
@@wooquo nope 🎵
Nope - don’t recognize it! Hint?? Had a funny music dream last night. Had to sing in a small last minute ensemble where I was the only soprano and I’d never sung or heard the music before so would be sight reading. But when we got to the venue the lights were off and it was completely dark! I asked if anyone cared that I just made something up as I couldn’t figure out how else to navigate such a situation. They said no, I should do the music as written!….?? Thankfully that’s when I woke up 😂
We're playing the fantastic new electric harp Neveltec. If you're interested in 15% off 🤑, use the code CHIARA15! 🎉
As a classical voice major graduate from East Asia, same here. Really no time for just staying in the practice room without proper exposure to the reality outside. Life is bigger than the practice room, I end up doing jobs unrelated to music but occasionally sing for opera houses.
Oh! I think she used to teach at the University of Arizona! That’s where I went for my undergrad! Anyway-love these ideas haha LOVE that you speak Italian too❤
Ohhh I just found your channel (I’m learning the harp and watched your video on buzzing!!) I totally agree…learning how to content create and market yourself is soooooo important. I have been struggling with this for 10 years too-I graduated from my masters in viola performance in 2015 and at that time, I just put weekly stuff up on youtube for fun…I was in my 20s and now as a 34 year I realize, I am a content creating, music teaching musician…that hardly performs and mostly creates!! I am grateful to have been focused on my instrument in college….but wow…musicians need to think of themselves as content creators with a highly sophisticated skill in an instrument…I like medieval music…but that’s such a small niche! Mozart’s father encouraged him to produce music for the public, not just sophisticated audiences…but I like that genre and am inspired by it. I’m not inspired by popular music. Anyway…I could go on lol. It’s really nice to meet you-I’m Amber😊🎻📚 Thank you for your wonderful channel!!!
From your notification I thought you meant no more videos EVER! 😭 Sorry you’re having computer problems: we’ve all been there…! Hope you’ll find something you love ❤️ Looking forward to seeing you again when you’re ready 😊🎶
Spiega tutto.
Morricone cantato con un sorriso mi piace moltissimo!
Are you as sad as me?😮😅
Hello Chiara! I love your videos, they're so accurate, refreshing...and funny and happy ! You inspire me a lot. Now I have a little question about the video. You said one should begin tuning with the fork on a basis of A440...and then you fix the C cord but not the A cord...Why? Does it means you begin the tuning setting this major third? Thank you very much! Long life to your RUclips channel :)
what is the harp that you are transporting? Is it a full concert grand, or a semi grand?
Full concert grand: 47 strings (Camac Athena or L&H #23)
very nice, i love playing some jazz tunes but haven't tried yet on to the harp, like the walking down bass line.
It's great fun, but a lot of lever (or pedal).... Try "Autumn leaves" for a first approach.
Some polish and in a couple of weeks.... perfection 🎉😊
Love to see your passion in all you do!
Incredible, Maestra!
That was a lot of fun, dear Eva!
Looks like it was fun.
Indeed!
lol your awesome !
I just saw your five minute warm-up did you ever do an easier one for maybe intermediates?
You are the Greatest Chiara!
I agree with you! I felt like a machine who is just getting ready for exams and hopefully don’t miss a note to be marked down! 🥵 It took me 20years to get back into playing the harp, I think I’m healed 😂 but instead of pedal, I’m enjoying lever harp, I must admit solfeggio comes handy to transfer music onto lever harp. But business knowledge I gained in different profession. P.s my fabulous teacher always made sure I had right posture , hands and …short nails!! 😂
I did not go to music university, but went to University specializing in science. I think what you opine is universal no matter what degree you pop out with. University teaches you the geeky subject (and maybe a little about life as you need to learn to swim in a big pond of people and bureaucracy) of your degree but leaves the rest up to you. You get out in your mid to late 20’s and off you go, bumbling along until you figure it out. Hopefully your parents have taught you some life skills (mine did) and you survive to long enough to get a good paying job. Think of all the people you know that work in completely different job-types than what they went to school for. It’s especially difficult for the folks that get a degree in the arts.
There is definitely room to improve...
Thank you for your video, super! I´ll never playing the barock flamenco from Deborah Henson. Inspite I like her, and I like to play Nataliana. But this flamenco breaks my nails - hurts on them - no, never I play it!
Geez friggin louise…….when you played those without looking 😳 Had no idea that was even possible to that degree! One more practice to add to my growing list - lol
You'll love it!!
Wow, this is spot on! Totally agree with your points :) I do have an additional (non-spicy I’m afraid - lol) off topic question. I’m thinking of getting the Dusty Strings FH36S and am waffling on the wood choices. I saw your video on the walnut you have! Do you think the walnut, which of the 3 woods I’m looking at (maple, cherry, walnut) has the richest tone, is good for Irish dance music? Or is there too much bass resonance for those tunes? And if you feel it does, will dampening solve that? I don’t play exclusively dance music by any means - not even 50-50 yet but I do want to add more and maybe ultimately a 50-50 ratio. What’s your opinion on the walnut for faster music??
I keep trying to reply to this, but RUclips keeps seeming to block my reply. I'll be curious to see how Chiara responds to your question, but I wouldn't think wood choice would matter so much for various styles of music; it's more about what sort of tone you like. By the way, if you haven't already, go to the Dusty Strings website, click on "Harps" in the top menu, then "About Harps" on the left side, scroll down to "Woods and Anatomy" on the right, then scroll down to the expandable menu item labeled "Wood Choices". You'll see that they've placed Sapele right in the middle of the tonal pyramid. I tried posting the link, but RUclips may possibly not allow that.
@@Alittlepillowcompanyhome hey! I was in the same pickle .. I found Fh36 to too rich in sound. in the end I went for Ravenna 34 and I love it! I tried my friends electric Camac carbon fibre very very fancy! I didn’t have it plugged in but I still prefer DS Ravenna 34 all the way . But it’s purely personal preference! Hope you can find your favourite !
Hi, sorry for my late reply. Dusty are amazing! The wood is more of a personal choice (depth of the sound, timbre, subjective taste and perception...). Although I love them, I don't particurarly enjoy them for playing Irish music. They do resonate a lot. They can be good for slow air and "slow" melodies, but for the fast ones I think a crispier sound would be more suitable. But at the end of the day, you have to choose! And as soon as you can, have more harps! I know it sounds excessive but I actually think it's the only way to play all the repertoire you want with the "right sound" or "right feeling".
Great help, as usual!
AHHH I saw now the message! Well done for getting your Ravenna. Enjoy it!
