I remember these cheap samsung phone were really laggy even new. People were trusting the brand name and the phones completely let you down - even launching the camera would take 5 or so seconds after you installed a bunch of apps. No idea why people kept buying such shit smartphones at the time. Maybe they thought waiting for 10 seconds all the time is just the way the technology is. Samsung still does similar shit with their cheap/midrange phones... They put some old/bad exynos processor that they could not sell before, so after a year or two the phone slows down a lot. Luckily the technology is so much better now, so these slowdowns are not nearly as bad now...

Damn, the quality is really nice for such a cheap camera! Definitely good enough for the cheap second camera that you are not afraid to break.

I bought my hero 9 new at the end of 2021. Never had any issues with it, apart from the audio crackle problem the 9 develops. I bought a media mod, and that solved that issue. I use my hero 9 every weekend

Windows Phone is the first thing that taught me to capture photos manually. Loved the windows Phone. It's a shame that it failed only due to lack of apps.

Hey! NGL, you can actually get a *far* more usable device than this for around its price. And funnily enough (based on my experiences), the Meizu M6 runs leagues smoother than this device... whilst having a far less powerful hardware. It should be around less than $25 on an e-shopping platform called "Shopee." Also, the Oppo F5 (6/128 variant) is available for around $25 as well, and it still performs *really* well for an old midrange device that's 6 years old. The Oppo F5, btw, also has the highest contrast of *ANY* smartphone that uses an LCD display.

Found your video, noticing it was pretty recent. Here's the thing, starting with the XZ1, Sony apparently has had a feature that enables them to upscale SDR content to HDR. However, based on the many, *many* reviews I've watched, NOT a *single one* has ever put this to the test. So, if you're reading this, I'd like for you to compare XZ2s LCD screen to an Oled/Amoled/Super Amoled panel. Play a media with very dim lighting (like Markiplier's walkthrough of Deadspace remake, for example) for the test. Whichever phone is able to pull more details out of the shadows wins. Thanks in advance!

I would use this as a secondary phone for work but everyone uses WhatsApp. Microsoft just needs to bring back windows phone. Especially if they wanna push their AI copilot. Just incentivise developers to put their apps on their platform. If they absolutely refuse, then please at least redesign their Microsoft launcher to have the tiles instead of just a basic launcher.

Just create another phone that can support windows 10 and its apps as well.

I really struggled with smartphone addiction. Thats why i switched from a iPhone to a used 80€ Pixel 4a to use it as a minimalist Smartphone. It has all essentials installed that would never work on a Dumbphone like Navigation, Whatsapp, Spotify, Booking, Transport tickets, Authenticator, Email, Banking and Payment. I also installed the Niagara Launcher and turned the display to Grayscale. While a dumb phone might seem like a solution, it’s just too impractical for daily life. Smartphones are amazing tools for a reason, it’s the distractions that make them problematic. The key is to use them intentionally and set clear boundaries to avoid them taking over your life.

I still use an ipod even to this very day & when traveling i use my ipod to preserve battery life

I bought one refurbished in 2022, camera stopped working after 8 months, the OLED screen is bad at displaying dark colours when the screen is dim, and the low ram is a bit annoying but other than that it's good. I had the battery swapped since the old one was done for. Although it's really uncomfortable on my hands when I'm laying down and without a case my fingers will keep touching the edge of the screen.

I bought these over 5 years ago, using almost every day while training. Never had an issue. I threw them around in my bag, they got dragged in all sorts of places and never broke. Very reliable for a cheap price.
