Did you check the water pressure after adjusting it? The max ideal or safe pressure is about 65 PSI. Some even say: no more than 70 PSI.

You just increased the water pressure, max water pressure is 60 to 70psi on residential homes... Anything higher is not good for all the fixtures and appliances

How long does it take to heat the water after this fix?

Thank you so much for making this video and posting it. You made the instructions plain and simple enough for anyone interested in doing the work themselves to follow. Before I found your video, I called around to get someone to repair it for me and was told it would be $150 for the job. I found your video, went to Lowes for the materials (which cost me $12), went back home and did what you said, step by step. Only difference, I got the JB Weld epoxy in the tube that mixes itself together before it comes out of the squiggly nozzle, and my sink is back attached to the granite in the position its supposed to be in. Saved myself $138 and I learned how to do something else in my home! Go me!!!

Nice job! The only thing I would have done different, is to lay out your initial cutline template over an inch more where it would be right on line with the butted ends of the 2 floor planks. See at the 2:03 mark. You then wouldnt have that small piece of wood at the edge of the grate when finished, More eye appealing.

Teflon tape/pipe dope does NOT do anything to prevent a leak on compression fittings. If the compression fitting leaks, the leak makes its way out around the outside of the tubing, inside the threaded nut.

Make sure that the amp output on your alternator in the car has a high enough rating to power the inverter you're using.

Great Demo, if I may comment on the plastic bushing that up-sizes older 1 1/4" drains to 1 1/2", the tub drain I'm replacing is 1 1/2" metal threads, the Everbilt Toe-Touch Stopper Remodel Kit I purchased has this bushing, I'm concerned about using it and will now look for a 1 1/2" thread diameter drain, just concerned about introducing extra parts to the mix. Anyone with data, knowledge or advice on this topic? TY! Paul

What about epoxy vrs construction adhesive ? I hear epoxy can make the removal process impossible.
