Will it also tell me which socket is connected to others? Like if I push it into one socket then go to others will the sniffer thing bleep and go green at the nearest and or connected other sockets? Will it work if only one of the wires is connected to the socket or does it need both? I have a socket that is not working, or working only intermittently. I think that it branches from another socket but I am not sure which other socket it is linked from. I would ideally like it if it would function with just one wire. Hold on. No that won't work because their will be no power to the transmitter. Aha. I think I could plug it in to al the other sockets near to the one that is not working, and hope that the neutral is still connected, and hope that signal is transmitted along that single wire to faulty socket. The ones I can see on Amazon Japan and Aliexpres have an earth pin but most sockets in my house do not. Is the earth essential for functioning? I would like to chop the earth off.
