Emax 250 at Norman Ropes
All flight video was from an E-Max 250 quad from Massive RC www.shop.massiverc.com/ The exact kit is linked below. I have a build video and a review of this quad coming soon but in the meantime let me just say, this thing is awesome. I'm far from the best pilot in the world and this thing has had more crashes then, well, insert too soon joke here. I can not reccomend this frame, motor kit enough. Is it a QUAV 250? Nope, but is it a solid sub $200 kit that falls together, yes it is.

Learning The Laser 230 Mini Quad
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.9 лет назад
Ever since seeing the videos of the guys at Airgonay I have wanted a mini quad. As far as multirotors go I've only flown Tricopters before and only a few fpv flights on a Tri at all. So why not go all out and try some quick fly throughs on the second flight on this frame ever right? Right! I do have a build video coming and eventually a full review of this setup but for now I'm just having fun ...
Hobbyking Mini DLG Build Fly Review
Просмотров 119 тыс.10 лет назад
In this video I will go through the build,if you could even call it that, of the Hobbyking 950mm Mini Discus Launch Glider. After the build I go for a quick fly and give my overall thoughts of this less than $100 introductory DLG. Overall this is a great introduction to discus launch gliders. I am far from an expert pilot and this was my first DLG but I must say it is just great. The fun for th...
High Start RC Glider Flight On Board
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.10 лет назад
This is just a few flights of my 2m Sig Riser. No special setup on the glider, simple Rudder Elevator controls. And sorry about the rubber bands in shot, but these are a bi-product of a highly sophisticated mounting system. :-) All video here is On Board as I was alone at the field. In future videos I will also try to have ground to air video. The videos were taken at Jim Traw field in Norman, ...
Portable Power for RC Modelers

Be the coolest guy or gal at the flying field when you offer to power every ones hot glue guns, soldering irons, lamps, fans, ect ect with nothing more than you your trusty ole' 3 cell lipo. This uses a 12v power inverter meant to be plugged in to a car cigarette lighter and with very few modifications make it able to use almost any 3cell lip battery to deliver 110volts AC. Wrapping a Turnigy Park 300
Просмотров 81 тыс.11 лет назад
In this video I go over the basics of re-wrapping (re-wiring) a Turnigy Park 300 1380KV motor. The basics could be carried over to any brush-less out-runner however things such as wire gauge, number of turns, and wire termination techniques would change depending upon the motor. Special thanks to the crew at FliteTest.com for inspiring me to take up the hobby and inspiring and enabling so many ...

Dihedral Wing for Swappable Trainer Scratch Build
Просмотров 37 тыс.11 лет назад
The Dihedral wing will provide an easier to learn, slightly lighter airframe that flies pretty well on the Park 300 motor with an 800mah 2s battery and throwing a 8x4SF prop. It will run with the NTM 28-26 and the 3s but the added wight makes landings a little rough as it pushes the glide slope slightly over the edge. You can view the full article as well as download plans at the following link...
Swappable Trainer Scratch Build
Просмотров 36 тыс.11 лет назад
This scratch build body is pretty strong on its own but I highly recommend the additional bracing. Which wing you choose will depend upon the flight control and characteristics that you want. In either wings case, the center of gravity is directly in front of the wing spar. This of course can be adjusted to fit your personal flying style and preferences. Neither wing will provide the very stabl...
Aileron Wing for Swappable Trainer Scratch Build
Просмотров 13 тыс.11 лет назад
This Aileron wing provides a much faster flight, lower glide slope and a more scale flying experience. If using a 5 ch receiver you can set the ailerons up for flaperons and provide much easier take offs and landings. This wing will fly on the 300 Park motor with the 800mah 2s but it really comes together and screams if you use the NTM 28-26 with a 4s, the same setup as the FliteTest crew uses ...
Swappable Trainer Flight Montage

They will be linked here as soon as they are ready. Special thanks to the crew at FliteTest and ...

A very aggressive disassembly procedure. One should never damage engine parts. Laminations are very brittle and heating them too much leads to loss of efficiency. Bearings above 80 degrees c. they begin to drain their oil. you have to remove them before that. CA glue destroys the insulation of the magnetic wire and can cause shorts. never to be used in an motor. aeromodelismoelectrico.blogspot.com/search/label/Rebobinando%20un%20motor

I do like all the extra reinforcement! Something missing from the typical FliteTest Foamies.... NOT to put Josh and the great guys over there down... They've done MORE for RC Flight than almost anyone else!! 👍👍 They made it affordable for the masses. ... I've just felt that their Aircraft need more strength, if you want to keep them a while. I just go by the simple equation... More Weight - More Power!! 😉

one very late thought for you and your subs. this is not an optimum dihedral wing design. why. because rubber bands over the top of the wing will be 'pulling down' on an ANGLED surface. a dihedral wing is, correctly, made when a wing center-section is used. then, there is a 'level' area where the rubber bands are. cheers

I recently purchased one of these from Hobby King's US East warehouse. I was shocked when it arrived on my porch barely packaged at all. The ends of the box were missing and the entire length of the box was covered in that plastic brown shipping tape. The only purpose I could imagine for the tape was to cover the Hobby King logo on the sides. The entire box was crushed in the middle and had no structural integrity. There was no padding inside (probably fell out of the open ends) but the wing was wrapped in that foam material as shown in this video. Miraculously, all the parts were there except for the extra throwing peg (good thing I'm not left handed) but the wing had been crushed in the center. I contacted Hobby King hoping they would just send a replacement wing and I would use the box to return my crushed wing to them. Instead, they sent me a 17 page PDF file with the "procedures" for returning something to them. 14 days later and after many photos and emails, they decided I had a valid claim but they would not send a replacement wing, I had to return the entire glider to them and wait again. The price to purchase a reasonably strong box and pay for shipping (they made it clear they would not pay) was about 25% of the price of the glider. At that point I told them to forget about my claim and I rebuilt and recovered the wing myself. I maidened it today and it flies very well. I would not, however, do business with Hobby King again if they were the sole remaining hobby store on the planet!
