It's Time to Start Rambling Again!
After some COVID-induced time off I'm back on my World Conservation Journey to research and learn about the on-the-ground realities of biodiversity loss and conservation in our ever-changing world.
This video is an introduction to what this next set of adventures will hold and what we can expect from an upcoming run of videos focussing on the inspiring work of the Mavericks who are committed to saving what they love.

Are There Community Benefits of Hunting for Himalayan Ibex in Hushe Village, Pakistan.
Просмотров 2864 года назад
I was shocked to learn I was going up into the remote and rugged himalayan region in Pakistan, joining with a group of hunters on their quest to take a Himalayan Ibex. I was far out of my comfort zone but dug in to see how everything I had learnt worked to make Pakistan apparently the most successful country for sustainable-use hunting. How does it work? What drives people to want to do this? A...
Can you Take a Life to Save a Life?

This Ramblings from my time in Pakistan is going to come in 2 parts. Seeing headlines like “Trophy hunting protects Pakistan’s national animal” and, “Pakistan trophy hunting programme, best managed in the world” had me intrigued… What was the other side of this Trophy Hunting narrative that we’re all used to? In Part 1) After taking a trip to the Punjab State Wildlife Department, I headed over ...

The Tigers Are Coming Back in Nepal!
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.4 года назад
100 years ago, there were 100,000 tigers roaming across 13 different countries, Nepal is one; but today that number is only 3900. However, rumours say things are on the up and I went to explore what Nepal was doing to save their tigers. I spent time wandering through their oldest National Park Chitwan with two local tiger trackers from the Nepal Tiger Trust and into the WWF Headquarters in Kath...

Great video, its important to bring awarness of the ecosystem services vultures provide. I hope to see vulture populations across the Mediterranean recover in the future. Greetings from Spain.
Thank you for going to Micronesia I can invite my families to come to America my street is called 636 N Franklin Ave

You are romanticizing them. What you show us is definitely wonderful. But it isn't sustaining the whole population. I just finished watching someone else's video showing a food stand where every dish for sale was non-local food and most was bad for health or it was made bad by the cooking. I've spent hours by hospital beds and kidney dialysis centers in Honolulu visiting Micronesians made sick by that food. Then there is the addiction to alcohol and sakau. Heart breaking. I love the Micronesian character. They are sweet, funny, and smart. I almost married into the community. Instead I learned to eat right and take care of my health. My ex, who married someone else, is dead now, as are our other friends who returned home. My health is good and getting better. Not the least because I don't do drugs or eat what was at the food stand. I hope not to be a burden on my community and to teach that a healthy life is possible well into old age. Pohnpei could do that too.
share your email plz
Thank you. F.S.M. 4 life.
There isn't enough conservation done in Pohnpei that can guarantee sustainability for the future when the government don't enforce it environmental laws dictated by its laws. One can see it clearly around the island these environmental damages, dredge reefs and filled wetlands. It's a shame that creed can overcome preservation of this once a beautiful island! Thanks for your great contribution to Micronesia!
Hafadai Mariana Islands here:|~~~ how u greet in ur country islands in u language?

This is a very interesting video, thank you for sharing.
Even though this was 4 years ago, did you volunteer through university? Was it a programme you decided to choose? Gap year? I’m from São Tomé and Príncipe , iv never had the chance to visit my island since I live in the Uk so hopefully one day I get the chance to visit. I hope you get the chance to answer my question, thanks
Noiice
Respect to you...brother ..God bless. I’m Micronesian.
omgg he done visited my section in pni !!
Go to kapingamarangi on your next trip sir❣😊
I had no ideal of the money involved, it's to much. I even heard that they go and get these beautiful birds from the arctic and they die after two months in the desert climate. We need more investigations and much more broadcasting of shows focused on this story. The whole world should should hear about this. We don't need birds of prey hunting camps run by billionaires. Is there anything russians won't screw up
