As a content consumer, I’m gearing up to quit watching RUclips. That’s how this video found me. The problem I see, as a ‘consumer’, is that there are now so many content creators with so much interesting information and such insight into what draws attention, that I find myself drawn to RUclips constantly, like an addiction, and I see it in my friends as well. None of us are truely present anymore. Yes, we can monitor our time better and filter content we consume to a degree, but the structure of RUclips will always place an intriguing video right beside the one you just watched, and bang, someone else has just absorbed 10 minutes (or more) of your life. And then when I step back and look objectively at what I just consumed, I realise that it wasn’t really worth my time and attention. It was somebody else’s brand, production values and curated personality that I had consumed, otherwise merely a variation on the video before it.

Clickbait titles makes me NOT want to watch til the end bro lol. Main reason being, it's a 30 min video and i have no idea what it's about, and worse of all the title is not even true! But you've built enough trust with me (an existing viewer), that i'll risk my time... But maybe new viewers won't have the same response, seeing as they don't even know who you are, much less care about you quitting youtube...

I don't understand why when you are promoting Adobe Podcast you go from iPhone to apparently Adobe Podcast back to you studio Mic. If Adobe Podcast audio quality is free and so awesome why use a microphone that you can totally remove from the video's? Also you make HeyGen (which I played around with) sound so simple to use, when in reality it's not which makes me skeptical about everything else you promoted here. I understand your trying to get as much valuable information packed into one short video, but for some of us oldtimers, this new tech takes a long time to grasp. Ok so maybe I should speak for myself.🥵

This video isn’t using its own advice; unless this isn’t your business channel, so it doesn’t matter. The title and thumbnail are likely to hook viewers that are business owners and non business owners a like. The actual video is advice for business people who are trying to garner customers for their business through their RUclips channel, but the title isn’t targeting business people specifically. The video might not reach the most business owning viewers -the targeted audience-due to the wrong viewers watching the video and leaving early when they realize it doesn’t apply to them. The algorithm then slows the momentum of the video and doesn’t give it a chance to get in front of the right people.

I think there are a few more types of videos on RUclips. Or certain other types of videos don’t fall neatly under the two types of videos. Review videos could be classified as educational, but depending on what you’re reviewing it could also be entertainment. Channels like Philip Defranco’s present news information and current affairs, with occasional pop culture stories. It could be classified as educational or informative, in regard to the news, but also entertainment because of how they present the news and because they includes pop culture topics. There might actually be three types of videos: entertainment, education and a mix of both.

So glad I found this channel. Your message and content is direct and straight to the point. I’ve found a few other channels like yours where the content is super informative and just straight to the point talking direct to camera. Keep it up 👍

The problem is with upper management. A few people are making decisions for hundreds of coders and programmers. The algorithm is biased. Period. There could be two separate channels who don't know anything about each other. They can make a very similar content. Interesting thumbnails, great titles, great content, etc. One will succeed, and one will struggle to succeed or even fail. The horrible part about this is the one that fails can be doing better marketing. For some reason, leadership within the company is favoring certain channels over others and is suppressing (of course they won't use that term because of "corporate culture") other channels. Why is it that a little kid playing with Legos and then throwing one against the wall will get 600,000 views but an entertaining and engaging video that "follows all of the RUclips marketing advice" gains something like 500 views? This goes Way beyond algorithm glitches. This is a people problem. A management problem.. a leadership problem... I say we flood YT's Twitter feed with all of our concerns about this. I've been a member of RUclips as a viewer since 2006 on one channel and since 2013 on another. And I've been making content seriously for over 3 years. We have a problem here RUclips.

Hello brother I'm a Phonk music producer i got monetized from 7 months i post one Phonk music per day my long videos always make between 1k and 8k and i was satisfied with that cause my channel still small but one week ago i started posting shorts and that totally killed my channel my long videos don't get even 50 views that's so weird i don't know what to do i deleted the shorts i posted last weeks and i still have the same problem please help me with solutions ❤

Love your videos for someone starting out and would want to focus on Value based revenue would you recomeend niche or industry to start out? as you mentioned one needs to be an expert but that wouldnt be a problem as i am quite ready to learn i just want to be able to give out so much value that people would appreciate and willing to pay for but would like a nudge in the right direction thank you!!

its better to do roadmap series of videos like viral, growth, lead, sales, teach idk ... because if your whole channel is just lead generating, i would think you are just a guru which also do harm your authencity .... and remmber more eyes in your videos lead to more conversion no matter what ... for example 1% conversion from 1m view is easier than 100% conversion on 10k views ... just saying you missing some context and need some consideration to all of these

What if I can’t think of a product or one on one consultation in my niche for a 3k ? The price is so high for my niche. I’m a personal stylist, my most expensive service , which is shopping one on one , costs only 500£ . I’m sure if I mention this price , my followers will be in shock 😮 what would be the solution?

I’m glad you posted this, not sure if it was my Asperger’s but I fkn HATE clickbait titles on videos that are supposed to be educational. I always thought of the educational part of RUclips should be a type of library, like the title should directly define what the video is about. I get it tho, copywriting to get the click, but like you said… the real learners, the real action takers, don’t need that, they need practical clarity. I really follow your content but you're the best at this stuffs, well i have faceless channels which somehow hard to apply the strategies you've been saying but I'm smart at brainstorming i will seat and think what to do, but the startegies you mentioned are more important, when i get my 1st revenue from those faceless channels, i have to invest in myself and setup so i can create a real channel which is niched down as you said, i have a lot of ideas to start with, thank you for the advice ❤
