Hey, yeah they have to be a bit loose, hence they move however when the marble passes through, otherwise if too tight, the marbles will get stuck as you have mentioned yourself already 🙂

@ thanks for the rapid reply! It’s the first of these kits I’ve done and whilst it’s very satisfying to build each part and I’ve enjoyed most of it, some of it has been more stress than joy! The sound of balsa wood breaking will haunt my dreams! Thank god for superglue a couple of times! 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ Going to try for the spaceport next and then the kit to join them together. Yep, I’m a sucker for punishment! 😂

Haha yeah the braking sound of parts is pretty annoying, it’s like a little bit of adrenaline enters your body to process what happened 🤣😂 Talking about the rubber bands hanging around, it’s that little bit that’s sticking up near the tip of the gun that’s at fault, so the ‘sight’ thing’ you can also just remove it as it does nothing anyways. And I’m not gonna lie, but you have chosen well, the Spaceport is quite a straightforward build and very enjoyable, but I will warn you that the ‘Night City’ marble run has a few pain in the back side bits 😅

@ I’m fully aware of the Night City pain points. I’ve finally tonight made it to the last 3 pages (all the a, b, c, d etc run parts are going in and next is that ominous looking spiral. Your video has helped greatly! I wish I’d have discovered it earlier! More superglue please!!! 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Hey, is it just the rubber bands that get stuck on the buffer hook? Is everything else working fine? If that’s the case, I wonder if the buffer hook bends forwards enough to release the rubber bands when you fire.

Hey, to me it sounds like there’s too much friction in the chamber where the bolt is attached to. More wax on the inside and on around the rectangle piece that’s in the chamber would solve it 🙂

Hey, See when the bow stops moving, give it a little pull to the right and then left and see if it restarts. If it does restart, all you may have to do is place the bow slightly to the right or left because I feel like that once one gear moves the bow to left or right and the other gears wants to pick it up and move it the other direction, the first gear is still touching the bow, hence both gears are going separate directions that lock in the bow making. So the first gear that moves it basically has to release the bow first before the other gear can pick it up. Does that make sense?

Hey, I’m not 100% sure, but there are automatic music boxes out there, so you’d have to replace the current one, and if it’s slightly different, you’d have to make modifications.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. So from what I understand, the marbles just stay in the middle part? So the long pieces that’s in between the little baskets? If that’s the case, that means that the baskets are in the place too tight and aren’t tilting back and forth. To fix that you can just loosen the plastic sleeves 😊

You could yes, but just be careful with how thick the layer is because it could interfere with the gear connection.

Hey, I haven’t done it personally but I have seen quite a few videos of the completed builds and yeah I agree it looks amazing, so much going on in it. I’m actually quite amazed and would love to build one. But I’m not sure when that will happen. I assume you’ve built one yourself? If so, did it take over 10h to build?

Hey, I assume you tested it with the marbles there? If you did, it could be because when the marbles try to enter the carrier at the bottom, they kind of sometimes don’t enter fully and the carrier pushes the marble against another piece at the bottom and makes it jam until you kind of wiggle it a bit. Is that the case?

@MartinsAssemblyHaven I think the problem might have been waxing. I was just following the directions from the book which didnt mention when and where to wax, but I'm following your video now, and I'm going to try to wax at the points that you mention.

Ah I see. I do always wax anything and everything that comes in contact with other parts cause we want everything to run smooth without any friction, and I hope it works out 🤞

Hey Roger, I actually left them loose on purpose and you should too, otherwise when the marbles started entering that piece, it’s supposed to tilt backwards from the marble weight and then release the marbles, but it was too tight and it didn’t move, hence the marbles got stuck basically. That’s why I left the sleeves loose 😊

Hey Jonathan, there must be something possibly in the gear connection from the motor gear to marble run gear. Or it could be possible that you may have a faulty motor.
