MagGuts Review for Original Shield!
This is a review of the +1 and +2 Magguts for the Shield stock seven round magazine and the 8 round magazine. This product delivers larger capacity for this well rounded pistol that can now be found very inexpensively on the market. This is a great alternative to a more expensive double stack micro nine.

Glock 42! Reliable and Easy to Shoot!
Просмотров 3,4 тыс.11 месяцев назад
This is an older review of the Glock 42 which has been edited to comply with RUclips Community Standards. I believe the G42 remains relevant in the .380 market, even with lower capacity, due to its reliability and that it is easier to shoot than others. I still recommend it to some shooters over the Ruger LCP Max for those reasons.

Apex Tactical Competition Trigger for the Ruger Mark IV!
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.Год назад
This is a review of the Apex Tactical Competition Flat Face Trigger Kit for the Ruger Mark IV. This shortens the uptake, reset and smooths the trigger out while providing a light crisp break. This would be an excellent trigger for Bullseye matches or Steel Challenge. This review provides trigger weights with stock trigger and the Apex Competition Trigger. This is not an installation video but i...
FMK 9C1 G2 Pistol Review!

The FMK 9C1 G2 is very similar to a Glock from an internal standpoint. This is a repost of an older video. I am not certain this company is still in business as I cannot access their website. This video goes over the details of this pistol which is made in California of all places.

HiPoint Carbine 9mm! It seems Reliable!
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.Год назад
The HiPoint Carbine chambered for 9mm seems to be a very reliable platform with its blowback system. There are a few things I would change about it but I know of no other carbines that can be purchased for this price. It is also fun to shoot!
1860 Army Richards Mason from Taylors & Co.!
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.Год назад
The 1860 Army Richards Mason is an iconic Open Top Revolver. This replica from Taylors & Company is chambered for the .38 Special. It is beautiful blued and is as close as you get to the original in a modern pistol shooting a modern cartridge. This piece would be great to have in your collection. It also could be shot in SSAS.
Dream Plastics' Red Dot Cover for Holoson 407k/507k!
Просмотров 914Год назад
Several optic companies do not provide a protective cover for their red dots. Holosun is one such company. This is where Dream Plastics comes in to fill the void. The produce excellent rubber covers for most Holosun red dots as well as for other manufacturers such as Sig and Shield. The rubber cover is thick and fits very well without coming off.

My friend just use a wooden dowel or a chopstick to push the pin out, u can also use a bullet if your in the backwoods. Eventually that slide stop will work its way in and then just using your thumb will do the trick. Using your knife may scratch it all up. Great gun I have the CW380 and love it. thanks for sharing and long live the confederacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your post. I have a Rock Island m206 which is based on the Colt Detective Special and I'm pleased by its performance. BTW, my first personal handgun was a Colt Trooper .357 Magnum with a 6" barrel. I purchased it for use during my ship's patrols of the coast of South Vietnam where we interdicted sampans, junks and suspicious merchant vessels.

For Steel Challenge matches, we use a Vortex Venom 6 moa dot, mounted to a Burris Fastfire III base that replaces the rear sight on the Ruger, this lowers the red dot as low as possible in relation to the center of the bore, you’ll have to also remove the ft. sight, as it will visibly interfere with the red dot, this set up gives you a very fast target acquisition and movement from plate to plate, we’ve had this set up for about 4 years now and is great, also a Volquartsen Accurizing kit for the trigger is much better

I've owned this gun in 40cal and a 9mm Compact. One 40 had trigger reset issues. One 40 was fine. The 9mm Compact was the most inaccurate handgun that I ever owned. None were anything to rave about. To start with fix the stupid sights. There's no reason to be different.

I think there is something to be said about this statement. Although the .380 is a relatively weak cartridge compared to 9mm, 40S&W and 45acp, it still can be a handful for people with weak hand strength due to the pistol being so small and light.

My main goal in defending myself is to hit the intended target and not someone else. I believe better triggers help us do that. Of course, this is no substitute for training. It is a decision we all have to make on our own. Personally, I have no problem carrying a CCW with a modified trigger.

I had to do a ton of trial and error with it but after some bending and light sanding it runs better than anything ive used. You can adjust the take up to almost nothing(i did) and with the higher power spring the reset is still there. Think they just needed to more emphasize the (gunsmith suggested) part

Watch out with the pre travel. If over adjusted it can disable the striker safety. With the magazine out look into the mag well with a flashlight. You can see if the trigger is starting to press on the safety plunger. I’ve had an out of spec trigger bar drop the striker on a live round. I didn’t realize what was going on until it had done it a couple of times. The plunger safety saved me. What an eye opener!

Current pocket carry is an LCP max and it's fantastic. If Kahr made a doublestack 380 I would prefer it due to the kahr trigger superiority but if I replace my Max the only contender is the bodyguard 2.0.

    • @firearmpatriotreviews
      @firearmpatriotreviews 2 месяца назад

I have the LCP Max. I will be picking up a Bodyguard 2.0 for comparison. I am fan of the Shield so the Bodyguard 2.0 might just knock the Ruger off my carry list. I think Kahr is really losing out on not producing a .380 and 9mm with more capacity.

@@firearmpatriotreviews Apparently the doublesacl Kahr micro 9 is on the way. I think the firearm guy on RUclips has a video with the prototype that works with Sig and Springfeild mags. A Kahr double stack 380 would compete well against the Max or bodyguard hasn't been promised.

Mine came in cardboard box 1 mag and inherent ejection problem. 1000 rounds=35 hiccups. Every 10 round mag has at least 1 of those. Besides that, the accuracy ( what accuracy) stinks. You can rock the slide and notice the play between slide and receiver. I am seriously thinking about Gluck 19 Gen 2.
