1) no sideboard analysis is disappointing, 2) no card choice comparisons is also wrong (variants with Rubblebelt Maverick, Mire Triton, Dragon Breath, Ulamog's Crusher, etc.), 3) Snuff Out vs. Ray of Revelation is particularly worth discussing as one is better against Glee, but Snuff Out has utility against other decks (Elves & Gruul), 4) The match vs Affinity feels all but unwinnable :(

I'm such a fan of mono-black pauper. My first ever pauper deck a few years back, in fact! This list looks so fun. Gonna give it a shot. Subbed!

Nice deck, but in my honest opinion, i prefer 4 hopeless nightmare instead unearth, not dead after all and 1 defile. Gives 1 mana for devotion, discards opponent and also can select your top. Also prefer campfire in maindeck just because we see lots of lots of kuldotha decks. Snuff out goes to sideboard to give campfire space. Marauder is also nice, specially against monsters and bogles (but this deck is not common in actual meta). I will test my version tomorrow, with this. I am a huge fan from mono color decks. Keep up the good work, always watching your videos!

I believe it was David Royale that had a similar idea with Cauldron Familiar, but he ran a Gates package for his deck. It plays similar to Caw Gates. I want to build my version of this with the Familiar, but I’m calling it Orzhov Cat Food.

Duskmourn has some good common cards

I believe the best you can do is 16 damage in the second match. There are two sixteen damage lines. Unearth the gatekeeper into iguanar into birthing which is 10 damage (first gatekeeper, two from iguanar, six from birthing, and one from the spawn dying to pay for iguanar), then swing with both gatekeepers, which would be 2 damage from their chump blocks (iguanar sees their spawn dying), then if you sac your four remaining spawn you get sixteen. The other line goes iguanar into double birthing, you get 9 damage as well but can sac your six remaining spawn for 15, attack to force another one, getting 16. You'd likely hold up those six spawn though, for chumping, and not swing with the gatekeeper, so only do 9. But most all your spawns will chump so you get the damage on their swing. I think you take this line to play around you meet in the tavern, and I think a few cards can shore up the game from there for you, including impact tremors. Then on your next turn you have impact tremors into unearthed gatekeeper into casted gatekeeper which is five damage, so lethal right there (you also have lethal from combat damage without impact tremors). With some flexibility as you can swing for six too. I feel like a lot of lines are pretty solid for you, but I like how this one leaves you with a lot of options, I'm not sure which is optimal, maybe the line you took because it doesn't require you to draw anything to secure the win, but does require your opponent to let you take the initiative. Regardless, good plays I think you found one of multiple fine lines!

I was trying to add Dragon Fangs, Faithless looting, and some number of Ulamog's Crusher into my list. I also was trying to get a modified theme going with Devoted Druid and Kami's Flare.
