@@nicholasbrady1405 Depends how much boost you’re pushing. If you’re on ethanol you’re most likely pushing anywhere from 27-29psi in that case you do need to gap them to .020 or else you’re gonna get a misfire at higher boost levels. If you’re on 93oct I think you should be fine with the stock gap. Also make sure you get custom tune bro, those ots tunes are not good for your car, they’re just base maps.

@Dimelowcrew I thought tsp2 was a d.rob tune. I plan on getting a custom tune by him still. In so cal I use 91 octane... I notice my knock always goes up after a gradual pull on the freeway to 6.8/.70 but I'm able to lower it back to .49 by driving 55mph to 85mph in 6th gear a few times.

⁠@@nicholasbrady1405 Yes the tsp stage 2 is from drob but it’s not meant specifically for your car, that tune can go in any other car. Knock control is exactly why I’m telling you not run that tune and get a custom tune. A Custom tune is so much safer and you won’t be dealing with knock control. You also get max power out of it.

@@GODisGreat7-h7r I’m pretty sure it’s 2.5inch. Drone is not that bad at all. I mostly get the drone from the RMM.

@@GODisGreat7-h7r You need Headstuds before using ethanol. I know these cars are really light, thats why I think 340-350whp can compete with cars making 400whp+. Also you’re most likely to blow the engine with a stock turbo than with an upgraded turbo. The stock turbo makes too much torque down low in the rpms which kills the stock block. If you wanna have a mix between reliability and power I recommend an upgraded turbo and run on 93oct only, easy 300whp which is plenty for the street and some fun.

@@GODisGreat7-h7r Yes you need to tune it if you’re upgrading the turbo and piston/rods. I got my Headstuds installed by a performance shop.

Since it was my first time racing after months of having issues with it, I noticed the redline was pushed up lol

I had an overboost code “P0234” and it’ll go into limp mode. This only happens when you have a bigger turbo, on stock turbo you’ll be fine. It’ll also only occur on a 2020 Civic Si, any Si from 2017-2019 hondata will work fine. But overall I would recommend ktuner.

@@lukenycz7967 Yup I did run into that issue, but they have a recall on that. So just take it to the dealership and they’ll fix it for free.

Yea ktuner is the way to go for the 10th gen Si. I Honestly don’t think the 1.5 can spool any “bigger turbo” fast enough even the bb. The 1.5 just being so small… I don’t think the bb would make a huge difference they’re both still the same size turbo, but anyways ima be brake boosting most of the time. But definitely try it out just to have something different out there.

@@Dimelowcrew Yeah I am glad I got Ktuner. I’m pretty sure bb spools faster and has even slightly higher end and can handle more abuse.

@@10thgensiracing Could be a better turbo, I’m not exactly sure what are the differences between the two, but the journal bearing pulls all the way till redline. Only downside is the lag you get off of it lol

Thanks bro! It’s 100% capable bro, just let me get used to this new set up and I’ll gap a couple cars 😂. Just starting to race again after a year of having issues with hondata. And yea get the clutch kit installed, the stock turbo makes insane torque so definitely fun for the street.

⁠@@CarsNfish Yea it’ll be a lot better. I’m still getting used to this set up since I had issues with “limp mode” so next runs will be much better. So with the original trans I broke 2nd gear (doing digs and slamming gears) so I bought a new oem trans (stock) and that’s what I have now.

Easy process and it fixed the limp mode issue.

They’re both very fun to drive but the RS might be a little more fun lol. However the Si is more daily driver friendly. I’ll obviously choose the Si since that’s mine 😂

It’s a 2017 and it’s daily driven, so far it’s been good.

My car can keep up with a lot of pretty fast cars but the thing is the auto vs manual. These new auto trans are fast. If I shift right I think it’ll be a very close race, but if I shift like in this vid I’ll most likely lose lol.

It does but I prefer to shift quick releasing the gas pedal every single time. For the next runs I’ll go all out. I also noticed I wasn’t really redlining it to 6900 rpms until I went back to the videos lol. I was shifting at 6500 rpms 🤦‍♂️ (cuz the car beeped)

@@dl9775 Thanks bro! Yea at the time when I was searching for cars it was between the fc3 and fk8. During that time it was hard to find them stock and blue lol. All I came across was sedans, modded fk8’s or fc3’s. I ended up finding this coupe first so I went for it. Also wish the type r came in this body style, looks like an actual sports car and very light lol. Don’t get me wrong the fk8 looks very aggressive and mean, I actually think it looks better than the fl5.
