Why would any halfway intelligently run business want anything to do with China when there are so many better, less costly, less corrupt, less anti-free speech, more stable countries to operate in? Hello, great video! I am travelling to China on a procurement trip, and have my invitation letter. My partner is travelling with me but she is not undertaking any formal business while I am there. She would like to accompany me on business meetings and warehouse visits, while we are there. Would she need a M-class or tourist visa? Country of residence- Australia

Hello! Thank you so much for the informative video! I have a quick question if you don't mind. We are applying for a Chinese M Visa and have our appointment scheduled in Hong Kong next week. We do have a legitimate business purpose to enter (we have just placed a production order with a supplier in Guangzhou). We are working on getting all the documents together... and our supplier has provided us an invitation letter. However they did not include specific entry/ exit dates... just the month of "October." Do you know if this is a big deal/ makes our letter invalid? Thanks so much!

A work visa is only a short stay in nature. There are family visas but they are unlikely to be granted a business visa. A work visa is a better basis for a family visa.
Can I extend a business visa while in china or get a resident permit as long as am doing business
You can apply for an extension. The max time is probably only 90/180 days. You can go to Hong Kong and back if you have a multiple-entry visa. You must incorporate a company and get a work visa to stay long-term.

No. A China company would have to provide a short-stay talent visa. M is for business not work.

I have a US passport; would would you suggest I do to be able to stay in China for at least 4 months (for business)? I dont know if I should get an invitation letter because I was planning on visiting multiple factories. I dont want to give the factory that issued the invitation the impression that I will do business with them because I might choose a different factory.
An invitation letter is essential. It is not a commitment to buy, but you should visit them. You can be granted a visa for single or multiple entries for 30/60/90 days based on your application.

A spouse requires a dependent visa - it must be linked to a work or study visa. It is unlikely to be granted to a business visa holder (as it is a short-stay visa by its very nature).

We all understand that Pakistanis have difficulties. However, there any many Pakistanis in China, why? Because they have work visas. China wants to see that you are doing genuine business in China, at a significant level. Complying with the visa. And earn tax dollars for China. You need to assist yourself, by showing a visa officer, that you are doing significant business in China that is worthwhile giving you are visa.
