    I have a club car 48 volt why does every time i plug my power drive 3 charger in it hums real loud and trips my breaķer

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900 3 дня назад

      The loudness is probably the charger getting old. The noise is not a bad thing other than displeasing to hear. If the breaker keeps tripping, it could be a few things, weak breaker, bad parr such as the rectifier or heatsink, even a problem with the cart, so you need to first be able to eliminate the cart and batteries, then start testing each part in the charger. I show how to do this in a video.

If you will either text or email me , it will be faster and easier ! Also send pictures if you can, and tell me what you are trying to do, and if you are using a reducer or not ,?

Is there a easy way to remove 9pin connector? Not sure if i have the 9pin connection the right way. The color wires aresnt the same on the connectors. Its a 2015 club car . Thanks for any info.

    How do you confirm without a doubt that your batteries are just no good and need to be replaced? I charged one 8 volt battery for 10 minutes (because i was afraid of blowing it up) with a 12v charger and it got to around 5.6v but it kept dropping after removing the charger...did it need more time charging or is that a sign that the battery is no good?

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900 14 дней назад

      Sounds like they are no good. The idea is to charge each one individually, like you tried, but 1 after another, then hopefully they hold enough volts until your cart charger an take over. But yours sound like goners.

    I’ve got an 03 club car ds iq. I am trying to convert it over to lithium. Based on what I’ve seen and read I have the same cables as the precedent. I have jumped the blue and white wires, removed the other wires and OBC, and have connected it back together per your instructions. I connected the battery and have full voltage across the solenoid and to the motor even with the key out of the ignition. Furthermore, the cart will not move in forward or reverse. Have you seen this issue and do you know what the fix is?

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900 19 дней назад

      If you have full voltage to the motor, without the key on, then that means your solenoid is closed all the time. I think you have wired something wrong. Text me pictures so I can see everything under the seat, batteries, wires , etc. Text to my phone.

I already did the receptacle ground to the main pack neg and I deleted the gray wire with the yellow fuse thingy. Just clarifying that the yellow that’ll be cut will go from the solenoid to the main pack neg? Thanks in advance.

It's installed and the computer is removed ! it has 6 wires= 2 Black,1 RED ,1 Yellow, 1Gray , and 1 Brown. Do I need to join 2 wires together ? the Computer is hard wired =NO QUICK DISCONNECT PLUG! RED goes to +of Solenoid [large post] , Yellow goes to Solenoid [Small post] , 1 black goes to Controller and the other goes to Charger plug,1 Gray goes to fuse at charger plug. Brown wire goes to front of cart maybe switch. Thanks in Advance!

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900 Месяц назад

      No you don't have to splice any wires. Just reroute the skinny yellow, so it runs from the solenoid to the main battery pack negative or to the B- on the controller. Then reroute the black wire on back of charge receptacle, to the main battery pack negative.

Still at 5 Amps unplugged it 2 batteries are at 10 V 4 at 9 V All we’re a little low on water yesterday before I started so top them off or raised them up using distilled water. Does it need to sit a while before you start charging them? If not, what would you check first to see why they’re not holding a charge?

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900

      Someone needs to do a video of a 2004-2008.5 club car precedent 48volt the ones with 4 12volt batteries and explain where the negative wire is. The positive is the blue wire usually with a black relay. Because if you upgrade to 48volt lithium batteries you need to know where it is because if not you will ruin your lights if you don't reduce it from 48volt to 12volt
