Irrigating a shaded row
For most of the season, I do not need to irrigate my outdoor rows. In fact, I generally have more issues with excess moisture. However, sometimes it's absolutely necessary to water them 2 times a day. All my outdoor and greenhouse rows are watered by hose at the moment. This is a row of turkey tails. With oyster and lion's mane, I am more careful to not spray fruitbodies directly. Instead I just soak the ground between the bags.

Efficient harvesting of Turkey Tail mushrooms

Harvest procedure for cultivated turkey tail mushrooms (Trametes versicolor). Afterwards, the clusters are broken up and laid pore-side up in the greenhouse to dry. Each block yields at least 0.5 lb. of dry mushroom. Go to my website at www.turkeytailvermont.com for more info.

Growing mushrooms on untreated sawdust pellets

This video demonstrates the inoculation method I use to grow a variety of mushrooms, including Lions Mane, Tree Oyster, Golden Reishi, Bears Head Tooth, Turkey Tail, and Garden Oyster. The hardwood pellets are simply hydrated with cold water, and then inoculated with grain spawn. I use no heat or chemical treatment on the pellets. Go to my educational website at coldmushrooms.weebly.com/ for mo...

Growing Golden Reishi (Ganoderma curtisii) in a garden bed
Просмотров 18 тыс.10 лет назад
This is a collection of video clips from an experiment I conducted last year, where I buried various inoculated sawdust logs in a garden bed of pepper plants in a greenhouse. The reishi was the most successful, although 2 garden oyster logs did produce some decent clusters (on left at 0:29). The logs weigh about 50 lbs. and contain only sawdust, grain and mycelium. I harvested at about 14 weeks...

Do you make the bags or buy them?
Teach me please ill buy everything
How did you get the spore print?
was that hot water? Or alkaline?
You mix hot water to the hard wood fuel pellets and let cool then he added grain spon
I'm still running your same technique 3 years later! Hope you are well!
What size were the big bags at end of video. Rich from wisconsin
Wow, that biggest one was almost as big as Micah!
This method is for my best! Now i'll try. Waiting substrate, now 25 day, more 75 days.
fuck yeah
Wow, it's perfect, we get the product from our turkey tail mushrooms by cutting the sides of the bag, we tried opening it from the top, but we couldn't get such a performance. I will definitely try your method. What exactly are you putting in the substrate? We use oak or beech sawdust as the base material. I tried 15% and 50% soy hull, but I could not get good results, and we could not get such a result with wheat bran. I would be very grateful if you share your secret <3
Fantastic !!!
Never I have seen a giant puffball mushroom grow that massive. That largest can literally compete with an average large size pumpkin.
Very big! One of my favorite mushroom.
Impressive design with g+1 floor inside. Great work.
great greenhouse, thanks for the video!
Good lord
WOW 😲 can they be done indoors
In Colombia?
Beautiful work
I would've kick the shit out of those mushrooms!! Yuck!!
Where can I buy?
This is some gangsta sh!t. I can't wait to get on this level. Found your video as I'm researching growing these. I got my plugs already lol. Can I put plugs doing them this method rather than a log? I'll be doing both but just curious.
I just got 1lb. Awesome product. Very clean. My wife felt overwhelmed today when she came home. I made her tea with turkey tail, chaga, and honey. About an hour later she asked, “What did you put in that tea? Cause whatever it is worked and makes me feel calm now.” I told her what it was and now she’s all about it. Before she would give me the stank face trying to get her to start taking it. I’ve been using turkey fair for health disease prevention. Love it. Will certainly order again. Thanks for your hard work 🤙🏻
Really awesome technique
how much grain spawn, in pounds, do you add to the 45 pound pellets?
What is the shade cloth % ?
Do you sell them?
Yes, check out www.organicturkeytailfarm.us/ There is a lot more culture info and an independent lab analysis of B-glucan and Vitamin D content.
Very nice showcasing of the various beds' setups from mulched, to covered grounds to grassy grounds. :)
Very neat row mushrooms' cuvliating with just shade cloth and spawn pre-ran bags. Wouldn't be suprised if the existing plants help with some O2 supply and CO2 comsuming during the day time.
high co2 is preferred??
Do you sell dried turkey tail?
I ordered some from Joe_peddler. He has psychedelic products
Happy to see these growing outdoors in new England!
Music sucks. Otherwise great video.
That’s such a humble and nice looking life. So cute, the simplicity of a young boy being happy just picking up a giant mushroom in a sheep pen
Outstanding
😂
Dude…U got this down for sure! Pro status right here!
I can refer you to this mate who guided me through my first ever DMT experience He's got turkey tails, psychedelic and he ships discreetly.
@joe_peddler
bruh i sjould be studying right now but this is so cool
I would like to have seen the mushrooms resulting, though
Nice! Thanks for speeding the action so we aren't bored stiff and.insulted by watching the same basic moves for many minutes.
Can you step it will be a explosion in your cars the seeds to grow more
What kind of yield are you getting off of each block? How heavy is each sawdust block?
Beauty mushrooms..
Anyone? Is the white stripe layer sub-fruiting body considered part of the "fruiting body" or considered mycelium propper?
All the medical benefits are mostly in the substrate and the mycelium. Look this paper up: "The mycelium of the Trametes versicolor (Turkey tail) mushroom and its fermented substrate each show potent and complementary immune activating properties in vitro"
Much appreciated detail! New thing to harvest for my UK self. Ignored them for decades! Do you happen to know the length of their growth cycle? Now I will 'deeply' harvest, sp pleased to have a new query. They are common here in SW England. If you have fermenting knowledge it would be appreciated? I only have scant experience with using shrooms and lichens fermented for dying wool.
Very nice! Do you have a problem with fungus gnats?
Once you put out yellow sticky traps they should be more controllable from there. You could also try mixing gentle amounts of neem cakes/pellets into the water for several hours as an additional preventive measure.
Very cool🙂
Biggest puffball I have ever seen. Gorgeous.
how many flushes can you get out of one block?
Wow now that's what's up. To get that type of a flush is well worth growing it at home
