the jubyphonic cover was my original introduction to the song and it’s so iconic! i totally get it and that interpretation. as iconic as juby is, her classic era translyrics often loose or muddy the original meaning or interpretation of their lyrics (for example in kagepro fandom we have to constantly correct people that the character ayano from ayano’s theory of happiness is NOT clumsy in any of her characterizations EXCEPT juby’s.) they obviously have their own merit as translations and as pieces of written work but they can be quite confusing! idk how she is now. the song overall is defineitly not the worst but it’s definetly not the best it could be lol. both juby and platonic’s are so nice! i think i’m just biased to platonic’s

"Nah" is just a more casual way of saying no. I think Oktavia chose to make it say "ya ya ya ya na-na-na-na-na-na" because it's the same vowel, so it sounds better in the context of singing, meanwhile the Japanese is a direct translation so meaning accuracy is prioritized over how good it sounds.
