"Deriving" the Schrödinger Equation Using the Momentum and Energy Operators
In this video, I explain how to "derive" the Schrödinger equation, although a derivation from first principles is impossible. For that purpose, I derive and make use of two important operators in quantum mechanics, namely the momentum and energy operators that are derivatives of the wave function with respect to the position and time.

    I love this phenomenon. I woke one morning in my dark room, saw a bead of light coming through my curtain. I stared at the circle of light on the ceiling and realized it was changing colors, i was confused. I focused closer and saw it was project the images of people walking on the sidewalk outside, i could see the bottoms of their legs and their shoes, even the grass. I was obsessed with that for a while lol

    I did everything as mentioned but after the command make -j4 the process is stuck at 63% and there are a few errors as well. What can be done to solve this issue? c++: fatal error: Killed signal terminated program cc1plus compilation terminated.

      If anyone else is facing the same problem. Try using less cores to build root. eg. in place of "make -j4" write "make -j2".

      Got it fixed. The header file G4OpticalPhysics.hh in the repository of geant4 does not contain the cherenkov process defined in it. I used an extended version of the G4OpticalPhysics.hh which has Cherenkov process defined and it worked.

    need to add a return value in function ProcessHits, or it will cause illegal hardware instruction core dumped error with gcc 14.1.1 in Arch Linux. Seems that ubuntu does not have the issue, maybe it's caused by gcc version?

    For those who can't find output.root in the build folder:- follow the video till 17:30. In my case root file was created no before it was filled with entries.

    Very good video, thank you very much! However, as seen in the gamma spectrum of 60Co, the photopeaks align very well, but the Compton background wasn't recorded properly (or at least not completely). Does anyone know how to achieve a better recording of Compton scattering?

    For those who have problems using G4PhysicsOrderedFreeVector, use G4PhysicsFreeVector instead, i think it changed for 11 version. Also there is no spline() function so i erased that line and it worked for me.

    My treshold for the activity 1 is 2GeV. Even at 1.9999GeV there is no Cherenkov light. For the second activity, applying the next macro /gun/position 10 10 10 cm displace the mean value by 10.

    This instalation won't allow you to use your HDD on windows so it's kinda useless you have root on windows but you cant put data in it or even take data from your HDD.
