Look at the size of the holes into and out of the ESC way smaller than all others
I hook a fishing line to me jet jam as it's faster to real in then push
Awesome video brother!! Every time I see one of these boats running makes me want to sell a kidney and buy one!! Keep it going hard and always send it!!
Thanks @Mya-2022 worth a kidney, I think!! Def get one if you can..RC boating is such a great hobby!!👍🏻
What kind of tape do you use to hold the hatches in place . New subscriber😊
Its called hatch tape..theres many places to find it..this is the one I use rcboatbitz.com/product/renfrew-waterproof-tape/
Hey bud I use Hockey Tape from amazon and it works great and its less expensive.
Like the boat bro just curious what the rudder is?? Cuz trying to get a shorty for my veles 29
Wonderful video, thanks.
Thank you !
Great video, all this will work for me . Dam boats are everywhere and they can always go faster . Had to subscribe, great work mate.
@petergoodwin2465 thank you!! You sound like me..lots of boats..dont know which way to turn first haha..thanks for watching and sub👍🏻
Yes that sound is brutal! Such a good build. 🤙
@texe46rc16 thanks man, yes I love it!
Look the look of the Flowmaster.... where do you get your Power for to run the Servo and Receiver...?
Hi @wally6629 most ESCs have a 3 wire cord with flat 3 pin plug that plugs into channel 2 of the receiver. The Esc’s normally have a built in 5.5-6v BEC that gives the receiver its power and then when you plug the servo into the receiver it gets its power from the receiver!! Hope that makes sense!! Just make sure the esc is outputting these low voltages from the 3 wire cord…otherwise you may blow your receiver and servo. Thanks for watching👍🏻
EXCELLENT vid . . .
Thanks @Barry843 ! Much appreciated👍🏻
Thank you for sharing a good video with a nice boat!~~~^_^
Thank you for sharing a good video with a nice boat!~~~^_^
Thanks @RCplamodel ! Its a great boat to drive.. alot of fun. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
That is totally a huge part of the issue. I actually upgraded to oxidean 8mm cooling lines throughout, made the return about 2in longer and heating issues are fixed. Great vid thanx brother.
Glad the video helped @tripletrc5654 ! Yes the 8mm lines are so good, and that you fixed the heat issue. Thanks for watching!
I’m considering increasing the size of the holes in my boat since they are a tad too small. My only concern is with them being larger that water can get in or that the lines could be easily pulled out/move after a crash. Anyone have issues with leaks and if so is a silicone adhesive the solution? Highest temp my ESC has reached was 140 but more cooling is always a plus.
I don't know if you have but I got the b link and it works great for info and on the fly adjustments
Yeah thanks @bdanielcal4608 Ive seen them. Might have to get one..as you say for adjustments on the water!! Cheers mate!👍🏻
Винт надо заглубить. Поплывёт быстрее. Там нет таких нагрузок, что бы винт был полупогружным.
Thank you @NevskiyVladislav I will try the strut deeper and see if it gets more speed

I just took a 3/8 thick board & drilled holes for different sizes. Worked really good. Thanks for showing how to keep solder from leaking out, I can use that.
Good stuff Steve!! Thanks for watching!
I have a sonicwake V2 and after its maiden run, I take the hatch off and smoke comes out. Electronics weren’t what was smoking, it was the rubber grommet that sits in the stuffing tube by the motor. The grommet is under the plastic mount that helps keep the stuffing tube aligned. Anyways, the grommet melted which is which smoke was produced. I liberally greased the flex shaft with the Included grease before the first run and make sure there was no grease in the collet area on the motor. Any ideas on why this happened??
I have the same issue. Someone who works at my local hobby shop had the same issue as well and ended up replacing that rubber with a piece of heat resistant silicon.
That has to be from excessive vibration somewhere bro. I would bench test and make sure everything is lined up properly and possibly try a diffrent flex cable. If that doesn't work it may be the Teflon liner in the stuffing tube spinning in which you can just take it out and super glue in place. Hope this helps brother.
Before I even did my maiden voyage I noticed the motor did not line up with the end of the flex shaft well and was definitely going to mess up the end of the stuffing tube if I ran it like that, so I would certainly check that, u can see when the flex shaft enters the coupler how much it has to move from center to enter the coupler, I dremeled the motor mount to adjust but I jus saw iron clad simply shim the stuffing tube to change the angle, good luck!
This is a loooong ass winded way of saying "Does your RC boat overheat? Drill a bigger hole for the cooling tube"
Thanks for your comment Jason..not sure of your RC experience, but there are a lot of people who are new to the hobby, and this may be their first boat. They may not understand how / why to do an upgrade like this, so this video gives them knowledge and confidence to drill a hole in their brand new, expensive boat. Thanks for watching!
That sure looked faster than 36 miles an hour. I have a little Bit of a little shrimp problem myself
Hey thanks Vinnie!!! Yes next time out I want to put a straight turn fin on it and get some more straight lines in. Im sure I can get into the low to mid 40’s with a few prop change experiments. Thanks for watching!
You don't need the extra water pick up on the rudder it just creates extra drag
Hey John, just clarifying…do you mean the pick up on the rudder itself, or the extra pipe pick up, I’m running??
Where are you located ? I'm Nth Brisbane
Hi Mate im on Bayside
Awsome 👍
i have a similiar little rigger but smaller was thinking about raising the canopy up for bigger battery. its a little guy 16inches ruclips.net/video/_-ObKvVj0PQ/видео.html
Try on next run to make paralel whit the hull maybe 1 mm up whit the drivers and cg more to the front midle second step
Thanks @Daiciu Apostol, I will give that a try and see what speed difference it may make. Appreciate you watching and commenting👍🏻
@@marxboatworx I hit the🛎
I built the same wooden hull and I got it down to 620 grams, taped up and ready to run (it is a copy of the Predator with some internal structural changes). I'm doing 45mph on 2S with an 1105/2Y turning a 3015 prop on the second outing. Still dialing it in, but it goes like stink. BG4L
Hey @Dr. Jet, thank you for your comment!! Yes they are such a fun structure to build and run..cant wait to get her out on second run and try some different props and try and get a mid 40’s mphr speed out of her. Think Big B did a similar speed with his. Maybe if I prop down a bit it might spool up a bit more..always a fine line between prop size and rpm’s. BG4L!
Nice review. This boat is almost identical to the Predator rigger. I built one years ago and it ran great (I got some videos on my channel). I especially like the shiney turn fin bracket! Cheers DJ
@Cozy RC thanks for watching! Yes I had fun re- rigging this, and it ran great..a little more tuning and some runs to do in it yet to see what its full potential is. Sub’d to yours now👍🏻
@@marxboatworx Enjoy the fine-tuning and thank you for your sub 👍
love it! need step my rescue boat game up with FPV

Awesome! Sub'd Where is the FPV rescue boat?
Haha @Jus Rc!!! Didnt have it that day…yes needed it though!! Thanks for the sub! Cheers
Just upgrade your ESC to the Spectrum 160. Problem solved.
Yes mate, easy fix there..fun trying to make things work over and above factory though!! Thanks for watching!
Easy, yes. Expensive, also yes.
New subsciber here, great job on your channel! Going to look at the alignment angles on my blackjack 24 now.
Yes, lots to learn with Rc boats Dennis, thanks for the sub and for watching!👍🏻
Nice! I'd love to have one of these one day 👍👍👍
Thanks man. Yes really loving this boat…! Thanks for watching!👍🏻
Ive done all the mods. I dont remember those issues a few weeks ago when I finished mine, but you have me wanting to double check my work on the new larger flex shaft's alignment. My maiden and more under ifly65 Thanks!
@ifly65 yeah may not be on all builds, some might be perfect already, but if youve fitted larger flex you will have done it right!!👍🏻
This setup deserves more C’s
Yes Berry, you are right. Im wanting to see what I can get out of the stock set up first…with some fine tuning etc..but its begging for upgrades..so yes some bigger packs then 6S motors and esc’s👍🏻
What props are you running on your boat ? I can never find the three blades 😳🫣 beautiful setup you have mate 👍🏽 Cheers !
Thanks Trey!! Yes, looking forward to doing some more running of this boat and see what we can squeeze out of it! Originally it had 3414 triples on it. In this video I changed them up to a pair of 3818. Seemed to like it!! A bit to get out of the hole but once she gets a grip, its rocket time! Im in Australia so our local RC Boat Bitz has these. really beautiful hull-looks like plenty of high speed potential
Yes @wonderkook just seeing what I can get out of it stock. But a motor and ESC upgrade will get some speed out of her…and being such a narrow hull, hopefully wont have so much potential to flip!👍🏻
Great video brother watched the whole length 👍 the sound of the twin motor is insane. I looked everywhere online for a DH Flowmaster couldn't find any....
Thanks for your support my friend! Its not up to the pizazz of a Big B production, but having fun. Sorry, it was a bit long, but never mind. So stoked how it ran. Shame you cant find one over there Its like the Veles..at the end, with heavier batteries was tripping over with high battery COG. Will try to see what I can squeeze out of her stock before I start Big B-ing it..haha. What's the biggest 29mm motor available?? A 2970? Might even put some 36mm motors in maybe?🤔 Ended up using my go pro chesty harness with iphone mount. seems to work ok!
This was also sold by Hobbyking about 7 years ago its long been discontinued, its a chinese made boat thats a rip off of a german hull like alot of the chinese made boats. I can direct you where to get the real hull, Hydro Marine de makes it, called the Intruder MKII Double cockpit costs 269 euros (VAT Inc for europe) so should be 218 euros for the GFK(Fibreglass) version theres also kevlar inlay and CFK(carbon) version more expensive though. They also have a smaller (veles size) cheaper version called the Intruder S twincockpit.
Thank you @OS RC for the info man, I will go take a look. Least they’re still available if anyone wants one! Thank you for checking in👍🏻
These are both Horizon Hobby Proboat boats ..the Black Jack 42 and the Miss Gieco 36. If you google your local area a supplier will have them. Thanks for watching!

Thanks man and thanks for sub @Real World RC ! Yes its a mean boat to get tuned in!! Put it is an adrenaline pumper!! I agree
That is a ripper boat mate. Bloody👌
HELL YEA! 👌
The only thing u needed is a T piece wher u can one water line spring for the esc in two o!!! You can see it in a litle movie of cooling your boot from iron clad rc.the only thing you must change is fixed a tube on one pipe at the esc,use the one that now sitting on your reviver antenna!!!and do the otherside to the other outlet, now u must only your motor tube placing on the other outlet,it’s also handy that u now can see or water streaming about the system, becous one (the old antena hole)go s up so it’s easy to see it works now!!!so your motor has one inlet and your esc has the other!!!realy has done a lot of resurge and this is the best way for cooling!!!becous when you go drilling and the dril is not sharp or wat ever it can destroy your haul,it’s fiberglass so it can cracks an if it cracks you screwed!!!👍hope u take my advice and maby u wil make. A nother video whit the update!!!becous don’t worry I don’t make video s,but when you do this update your temp stay way better!!!(when u drill your garantie fail)
Hi Chris, thank you for your thoughts. I agree the double input line Big B did on Ironclad does work..I will be doing on mine too. This is still separate to the hole size in the transom (BTW these hulls are ABS plastic, not fibreglass). If you don’t drill it out, you still have restricted flow into the boat. As the hole size is only going up by 1mm diameter, the hole is so easy to drill out..so simple. There should be not risk, but great reward! Happy boating
@@marxboatworx hello my rc friend, thank you for the info ,when it is plastic it’s way easy er than fiber glas, becous that’s always a litle bit tricky,so wat you say is when I drill the hole some bigger than u have more better flow in the hosses?!?!ok !!if u say so !!when it necercery I can drill it always!!!but at the moment it has a nice consistent flow,u can see it on top of the hull ,it cools so much better!!!I am happy that u not angry!!!This is also not the goal, but in this hobby ther is always somthing to learn for evry one!!!👍
People don’t drill in your haul,if you do it wrong it’s done,I have a better solution!!!!
Yeah mate what’s your solution? Been waiting pins and needles here
Get this V2 or the Impulse? GO!
Id go the V2..a good all around fun fast boat. Then go the impulse
@@marxboatworx picked up the V2 after work yesterday. White on. Going to go over it today and maybe yesterday's it later on. It's so damn hot out though. 100 today in MA.
Congratulations!! You’ll have a ton of fun with it!! 👍🏻 yes am watching the heat waves you guys have over there atm!! Not good. Very similar to our Australian summers recently😬
Impulse does not self-right. If you ask me that is a mandatory feature as it will flip just from its own power let alone waves and wind.
If you trimmer those boats a bit they won't lip over so bad
Cheers @MrCubflyer …yes this was a maiden first time out. Learnt a lot about trim and battery placement after this and haven’t had a stack since!!
