Hi AD, you can try but it is unlikely to work. Consult a dentist for a temporary solution. I am an Implant Surgeon and usually it is not a good idea to keep a failed bridge in place as you might develop infection and consequently loose bone that is precious for the implant success. Hope it helps.

Thanks for sharing this video with us all , yes I had a failure with of all things a crown right in front on top , but not surprisingly because the crown was put in 35 years ago , I was very fortunate that it lasted as long as it did , but I bought a similar repair kit as you had plus some denture adhesive, right now I'm trying the denture paste and it's holding very well , but I'm going to remove the crown and try the repair kit material today , I'm hopeful that will hold it until after the holidays and I'll be able to see my own dentist , but I appreciate your video and how to apply the temporary cement , I probably would've stuffed the crown with the cement and made a mess for myself ,,,,, anyway,,,,,, thanks again for your help and advice 🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷 👍🏻 🍻

I am very sorry to hear that Jamal. That sounds like an infection and you will NEED to see a dentist. Do not use this temporary filling as the infection needs to drain and by blocking it the swelling will get worse. If you are in the UK, call 111 and they will find you an emergency dentist near you.

I had a tooth that was scheduled to be extracted, but due to covid, it was scheduled a couple of months out. I tried using this to fill the cavity and it is really not worth the time, money, or effort as just crumbles in your mouth. I tried several different brands and all were a complete failure. The package indicates enough cement for a number of uses, but that is because you can fill a tooth several times a day as this stuff “DOES NOT HARDEN SATISFACTORILY.” I followed the procedures exactly. I let it set overnight to ensure that I didn’t eat or drink. The cement fell out the next morning when I had a peach yogurt for breakfast. I then tried drying the tooth before applying the product. To say this is a cement, is very misleading. I did a little research and discovered that this “cement” could be made at home by using cornstarch and petroleum jelly. People, cornstarch and petroleum jelly? So, I tried that and it turned out to be exactly like the Dentemp. Don’t waste your time or money.

making videos takes some responsibility of practicing and investigating the real process before doing "in theory videos", this video is practically useless since you are NOT doing it in a real patient in a 100% real situation, using plastic teeth is fantasy, once you do it in a real patient you will realize several problems that you are NOT telling, is so easy to imagine that "it should work", many things go wrong in a real situation and the saliva makes the process very difficult and going out of place and in between the healthy front teeth and it will look horrible, patient must bite over a wax paper so the material does not stick on the wrong upper or lower teeth, making videos takes responsibility too, and the time to dry and how to avoid saliva or the material will make a mess

    • @orangdadashian2089

Any sort of dental cement’s main function is as a stable space filler (which does not wash out over a period of time) with some adhesive element. You do get some adhesion but the way for a crown to last is the preparation of the tooth by the dentist. If the preparation is done conical, then you rely mainly on the adhesive function of the cement which often has a limited time. If the preparation of the tooth has been done correctly which means that the walls are parallel, then the crown will last with any cement even if the cement has a weak adhesive element. The main issue with superglue is that it is not biocompatible and it could have adverse effect on the vitality of the tooth long term which could result it needing root canal treatment or extraction. Hope this helps.
