WHY I LOVE WINDWAKER

first actual video. Nintendo please don't sue me. :)
What's that music playing during the intro? It's so beautiful.🥹
SteamDB says the game still sees 200-300 players per day, which is impressive for a game from several years ago. I dunno man, I just had a stem cell transplant. Your fighting game being less active than others or not getting a follow up it doesn't really need seems absurdly petty by comparison. By which I mean Centralfiction has a massive cast, nearly a decade and 4 interations worth of patches, a small but loyal playerbase, and is in no danger of being delisted (RIP MK9). It's still a fantastic game and there are smaller youtubers like Skoriah carrying the BB torch. You have VERY LITTLE to complain about.
I’m just getting into blazblue continuum shift 2 on the psp lol
Good vid
thanks man. I'm thinking about making a "Why you should play BlazBlue" video after the one I'm currently working on
I feel bad fr this game was cool i hope it can be saved
Finally downloaded the movement huh lol
Said he had the download ready but apparently forgot the dlc 😂😂😂😂
😎👍

@@joaop5033 lol thanks
No, not really. Dungeon Fighter Online was spyware-tier, any game that would also support the devs of that shady-ass game shouldn't succeed.
Fuck Strive Fighter.
The sucky part about sprite work is its so hard for the untrained eye to tell at a glance when things look great. BlazBlue rocked some sick-ass 720p sprites for the time, the same HD level of KoF 13 sprites, and P4U. Fast forward to games like BBtag where the Uni sprites got upscaled and the RWBY and Yumi from Senran were brand new and cracked 1080 ( Like Melty Blood Type Lumina) on how clean they looked. Then there's Heart Aino's sprite which was made new cause Examu had nothing to do after making the best-looking sprites ever in Million Arthur Arcana Blood, a game nobody plays cause of that shitty steam release it got pre-pandemic.
W video, you're not letting that Turles gripes go lmao 😂

Great summary of the games history! I think we will get a sequel but maybe not for a little while. Game development takes awhile and ARCsys has a lot under their belt.
It might happen gotta wait for Toyotaro or however you spell the new dbs goat names(no disrespect) its on him now I'd assume
then again i wonder how can they continue the story if they ever make a new mainline bb game.
they can do anything. ragna stopped existing. so they can make it about something entirely different
im still labbing central ficition, uni2 is the closes relevent game
I'm just glad Blazblue died quietly and gently before we got Blazblue Strive.
Did they ever add Rollback to bbcf on console?
I prefer sprites to 3-D graphics
Why not just give the BlazBlue rights to the creator of BlazBlue? Free??
@@adamdaly1975 business reasons. It's like Konami not giving Kojima metal gear. He made it while under Konami. So it's rightfully theirs
I don't want BlazBlue to become 3D. 3D models always look weird to me. I don't like realistic graphics.
The thing is that Arc Sys never makes realistic graphics
@@axelmiramontes409 good point!
I saw this game come out and was really wowed by the spectacle and how good it looked, only to be immediately be warded away from it by any content creator who was checking it out because of the reasons you listed. Hopefully it'll get back on its feet sometime soon. Thank you for another wonderful video.
8:16 quick note here, this is NOT an arcsys game and that's a common misconception that comes up when talking about who is responsible for what. This is a game published by nexon (IP holder) and co- developed by arcsys and eighting. They are not responsible for the decisions behind this game Nexon is.
@@Jaxvex thank you for that information

I can safely say I'm a massive BB fan and I have been loving Entropy Effect. The studio did a great job bringing over the characters into side scrolling action game with the roguelite genre allowing to create some amazing moments of screen filling chaos. Would I prefer that it continued the story? Yes, but I think the game is a great way for newcomers to really fall in love with the cast. I for one am hoping for the game's continued success.

I thought sprites costing a lot more to do than 3D was the reason they don't happen as much anymore UNI2 and Melty Blood had problems at launch that stopped more people from getting into them but they still did pretty well when comparing them to other smaller fighting games I just feel like the sprites aren't the problem
@@ZzigZaG00NIN my thing is. Most people who don't play fighting games or games in general are going to pick up a sprite based game over a super stylized 3d game.
I thought Arc Sys meant that they would make a new Blazblue after they were done with Strive I guess It might not be Blazblue but Strive has been going on for a while now they got to do something new sooner or later
Strive Fighter and its consequences were a disaster for ArcSystemWorks.
I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand
@@ejxl11Because strive is arc system's most successful game, that there is no reason for them to deviate from strive's gameplay style in their future projects. Every arc system game from now on will be strive like.

BB is the soul calibur of namco . If the main flagship fighter is doing well, then there is no need for the side game series. BB was already on its way out after BBtag came out and flopped tbh.
@@FortuneKOF bbtag sold well compared to a lot of arc sys games at the time. It even outsold central fiction
Yeah idk about BBTAG flopping, but I generally agree with your sentiment
I'm of the full believe "Blazblue" is finished, or dead if you prefer that terminology. I'm convinced that ASW just...doesn't care about "BB" now that they have "Guilty Gear" back. Ever since it returned, "BB" has continually been getting undercut more and more, to the point where the series is only getting outsourced to foreign developers now. "Central Fiction" lacked a number of staple features that were present in prior entries. "BBTAG", regardless if you want to count it as a proper "BB" entry or not, was an asset dump that released unfinished. "Dark War"...was so underbaked it shut down less than a year after it released. "Entropy Effect" isn't even a "BB" game, it only uses the characters as superficial avatar skins and nothing past that. And of course, whatever that new project is from MACOVILL, a developer mostly known for cheap mobile game stuff. All in the span of "GG" getting two whole new entries (with one reiteration), continued support on "Strive", and an entire animated project. The difference in treatment couldn't be any more apparent. But the worst part is that ASW did to Mori with "BB" what they themselves went through with "GG". Mori left ASW, likely in poor terms despite surface statements, and now doesn't have rights to it anymore. He clearly wants to continue the series, between "Dark War" technically being a sequel (even saying he'll finish the story in some other way after it shut down) and his interviews implying he wanted to do more with "BBTAG",...but just can't now. It's ironic and very sad.
under night has gained a lot of concurrent players since evo, hopefully it'll stay that way
Did you make this because of Kaiser War's video?
I don't know who that is
apparently mori really likes the roguelite and it's what motivated the devs to keep it running even after the company fired half the devs
Wouldn't mind seeing Mori take inspiration from BBEE and go in that direction if he was to do a spiritual successor.
Tbh,if guilty gear was able to come back I can see blazeblue coming back too
The monkey's paw curls. We get Blazblue back but all the characters dress in streetwear, half the movesets are gone, and Astral Finishes are nowhere to be seen.
Blazblue came into existence because ArcSys lost the rights to large parts of the Guilty Gear series. Once they got it back, and after Xrd did better than the most recent Blazblue game they let Mori do what he wanted with the series in what was failure after failure. The VNs struggled to make their money back and the Gacha that was meant to continue the story came out 6 years later than planned and was shut down within a year.
Mori left the company and it's latest game is a hack and slash roguelite that only exists in steam. And you know Arcsys won't do anything new with it unless Mori comes back, or at least give a go ahead(Same way Ken Lobb had to give his blessings to get the new KI game made)
blazblue is dead, but better dead than strive'd.
What, being the only guilty gear game that sold a million units in one year, has had no less than 2000plus unique entrants in evo since its inception, and a constantly supported game with dlc update and an upcoming anime?
@janematthews9087 Yet it still doesn't play like Guilty Gear. There is no point in gaining the world, when you lose your soul in the process.
@@janematthews9087 why do you ask questions when you already know the answers?

@@rachetmarvel931”doesn’t play like guilty gear” my brother in Christ it has it’s basically just a slightly slower version of the other games what are you on about
I thought it was pritty dead wen they started selling it at 5 below 5$ store
I agree that the state of BB is a sad one. I think eventually a new BB will be in the cards, but maybe not for years. GG strive will have to die out for a while for that to happen. I'm gonna heavily disagree with your 2d sprite opinion. Calamity Trigger gained some attention because it was a 2d sprite fighter in an age where everything was turning 3d. The style made it shine and people loved it. The issue I see is that it hasn't evolved since then. Uni and BB are based on an engine that is over a decade old. Your example of Uni 2 isn't the best comparison to other recent 3d model fighters because it's not a "new" game but more of an expansion. Much like how MMOs graphics are dated by their release. A comparison to melty blood type lumina might be more accurate to compare. Gameplay is always king. If a game is fun, people will play off word of mouth, even if it looks dated. There are plenty of indie games that lack graphic polish that make it big. I personally would love it if BB revolutionized sprite based 2d fighters again. It won't happen. The cost is too much. And that's the issue with staying with sprite based games.
Great video i absolutely love blazblue and i hope for a new blazblue fighting game and also have a great day ❤
Cool to hear your opinion on blazblue. I was never into the series like that, mainly just a spectator, but it's interesting to hear about the rise of the series alongside it's fall. Good luck in the next video too.
