A structure fire has been reported in the vicinity of North Main Street and Great Miami Boulevard in Dayton. Fire crews from Engine Companies 4, 2, 8, and 15, Ladder Companies 14 and 13. Smoke and flames are visible from a two-story residential building. Firefighting operations and search and rescue efforts are underway. The Central Chief is also present at the incident.

The Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a fully engulfed vehicle. Dispatch indicated that the vehicle was in close proximity to a garage. Mutual aid was requested from the Dayton Fire Department. Fire crews swiftly extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to the structure. Well done to both departments involved. I've been trying to get a patch for my special needs son from careflight. He collects patches from First Responders. He patches from Medflight and University of Cincinnati medical helicopter. Just not careflight.
Sometimes you can approach them at the helipad at the hospital. If they see you have an interest in what they do, theyll give you the time of day. Promedica Air in Toledo did this for me but stupid covid they said they didn’t have anything.They might not have anything but they will show you the aircraft. Did that at Riverside Methodist in Columbus, the medflight crew was super friendly.
