Personally I would wait a little bit now that the Chia bridge has started with WarpDotGreen.com. previously I would have used simpleswap but now that the bridge is here, wrapped Chia should be able to swap to most popular coins in the near future

I was planning on doing some compressed plotts with Madmax but now that dr.plotter is going to be integrated into official client, for free, it seems to makes more to use Dr. Plotter. A couple of questions. 1. I did a few search for Dr. Plotter videos but couldnt' find any useful. Are you going to do any videos? 2. Are current Dr. Plotter plots going to be compatible with Chia client integrated Dr. Plotter plots?

I'm definitely going with Dr.Plotter once I can buy 2x 3090s or 4090s. I'm hoping the hiring of Nick they will be able to create a plot format that can't be compressed much as all.

@@thecryptoecho This is off topic but I have another Chia question.. I'm currently plotting with Gigahorse with a 3090 but I can't see my plots in the official Chia app (using Ubuntu UI version). Is there some extra step to seeing compressed plots that I'm missing?

You might want to try using the Gigahorse Chia Wallet. I haven't tested it. It looks exactly the same as the Chia wallet GUI. I don't know if MadMax integrated it to see the plots. Also, be careful, when you exit the GUI, you might have to stop your farm and restart it

I really don't know what's out there for 2.5 anymore. Most of mine were under 500GBbso I never used them. I guess they use a lot less energy but their capacity size is too small. I prefer 5400RPM drives with the largest capacity to reduce electricity use.

Hey Adam, I'm not really that technical. I know you can undervolt then GPUs but I never tried it. I'm sure you can just download MSI Afterburner to tweak it. I only have 1080 GPUs but once I get the RTX 3090 for doctor plotter I can test them.

RTX 3060 has 12GB VRAM? Did you test how many plots you can have with it? I don't mind larger plots as long as I can have avoid adding more GPUs. The RTX 3090 is about $1000 CAD here. I don't have one so I have been plotting C31. I think all my decisions are going to be made with DrPlotter eventually. With CNI buying their tech we get an instant 3.125% profit boost and there will be no more need to have the GH farmer. I haven't had a chance to consider anything else than C31 since I only have 8GB VRam. Have you checked out DrPlotter? Looks like we will need 2x RTX 3090s. It's going to be a big investment.

You got such an amazing collection and theme with the museum. I love discovering new artistic ideas.

Hi, thanks for the comment. I don't have an RTX video card so I am limited to the number of plots I can farm with a GTX 1080. If you can get all your plots on a single computer that is awesome. What I did was adding another video card to another Harvester to use the "Recompute" program provided by Gigahorse to share the workload. I then connected it to the farm with the unit -c can folder. I don't think it is necessary to add more GPUs if everything is going well with your current setup. Personally I don't want to spend any more money on hardware because I want to see what I need with the new plot algorithm coming out that will eliminate most of the compression. Anyway, congrats on building a robust farm.

For windows you need to be in the right path where the chia.exe program is. It's somewhere in %appdata%/local/program.... I don't have it memorized. %APPDATA%\local\chia-blockchain\app-* esources\app.asar.unpacked\daemon\chia.exe

I believe the non-observer address is the old legacy address. It will have some limitations but I don't know all the details. Safe to use the observer address.

Hi, I did try to plot and farm with 1 GPU for testing and you will get a memory allocation error. It might be possible with C32 splitting the 12GB VRAM but with C33 it is unlikely. Good luck

Your wallet number will always remain the same. If they are different, you don't have the same wallet. For you payout address, you can set it to anything you want in the config.yml. be careful, they also have another payout address that is for block wins. Change both of them to the same address.

Which pool is this? It doesn't sound like I am familiar with it. Why would they hold back your payout? Yeah, make sure your payout address is correct on the config.yaml, there are 2 locations. Your pool NFT, did you get the link to login to your pool website?

The commands for Windows are the same but I don't use Windows anymore so I can't create examples

I'm not entire sure but with pooling if you have a large farm a low difficulty will overload your GPU and even USB hubs as it sends more partials at a low difficulty. One reason we want a higher difficulty with C30+ is because we can have much more plots supported by the GPU. If you ae compressing to from, say, 80GB to 40GB, you will have twice as many plots and it will be twice as much work for your GPU and will not be able to support it. I use spacefarmers to allow it to manage my difficulty but I have a long way to plot before I can see if I need to raise the difficulty with my current hardware setup.

For Windows when you want to run a chia command, your command line needs to be in the following folder C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Programs\Chia esources\app.asar.unpacked\daemon for gigahorse commands, I'm not 100% sure, but I would assume that you need to be in the gigahorse folder or point to the folder. for example if you are using the chia.bin command, windows will need to know where that command is so it's easier to be in that folder. You might want to keep it in a simple location like C:\GH

We're you referring to getting rid of the reserve storage on EXT4? in windows you will format to NTFS so you don't need to worry about it.

Wicked, finally a question I can answer for Steve. YES, you can use Remote Desktop on Windows to connect to the Ubuntu Desktop. You can use the built in Remote Desktop or I prefer the Remote Desktop Connection Manager so I can just click on all my computers on a side bar.

There is one quirk that bothers me. If you are logged in on your Linux then XRDP just shows a blank screen. It is a rare care since I only connect with XRDP but sometimes it gets me.

Cool. Yeah, I use RDCM at work all the time so I'm familiar with it (and noticed it in your vids)... seems like I tried to figure out RDP to Ubuntu years ago but never got it ironed out.
