Hi! My arcgis pro account is under-licensed, so I can't use the kernel density tool. Is it possible to do hotspot analysis with another tool? I can use hotspot analysis tool or optimized hotspot analysis tool, etc. Your videos seem to help me a lot in my research analysis! Thanks:)
Yes you can! You can use Quantum GIS ( QGIS to perform it
@@larliseduhub Oh But I've tried many things (ARCGIS, QGIS AND GEODA) and the kernel density tool in QGIS doesn't seem to be what I want. Is this the right way to get the hotspots? What would be the difference between this and using Getis-Ord Gi*? Thanks for your answer:):)

Hey Larli, thanks for such a detailed video. I am a MSc geology student, and I am currently doing my dissertation, TBH I just started it. My topic is Change Detection using Remote Sensing Data, so my mentor told me to do Time Base & Event Base change detection. The problem is I have no idea what type of data should I use and how should I use... Currently I have access to ArcGIS, QGis and ENVI 5.3 softwares. Can you plz guide me a little, it would be a great help.😇😇😇

Landsat 7 But you can use landsat 8 and above for better quality

Wonderful presentation... I have a question: How can I fill in a missing value with probably the mean?
To replace missing values with the mean in SPSS, you can use the "Impute Missing Values" option or the "Compute Variable" command. For the latter, create a new variable, use the COMPUTE command, and set the missing values to the mean of the variable.
