EKF-based SLAM real world test
This is the demo video for an Extended Kalman Filter-based Simultaneous Localization and Mapping algorithm implemented from scratch using ROS2 & C++. Tested on a Turtlebot 3 burger. The robot is driven around and finishes at a position similar to the starting one. The blue robot represent raw odometry, the green robot is the SLAM estimate. At the end, the SLAM estimation is pretty accurate (and much more accurate than the standalone Odometry!).

Minimec - a custom ROS2 based mecanum wheel mobile platform
Просмотров 9 тыс.6 месяцев назад
This is a demo video of my MS in Robotics independent Winter Project. I designed, built and programmed a custom mecanum wheel mobile base and implemented controls using ROS2. Learn more: maxpalay.com/projects/mecanum-wheel-base

This video is a demo of the Final Project submitted for Telematics Engineering at Universidad de Montevideo entitled "Design and implementation of an affordable lower limb prosthesis". The prototype resulted too tall for the subject height, hence some gait abnormalities can be seen.

What type of motor did you use to connect with the mecanum wheel
Great. You shear wiring odrive s1 to rpi and encoder. You spec. Bldc motor
What did you use for create a path?
beruntunglah yang memiliki hobi ini, karna bisa membeli sparepart untuk kebutuhan hobi nya nice👍
Where'd you get this kit? It looks awesome! Also, I didn't realize those O-drives really needed the 50W resistors... Just looked it up and it seems it's for brake current. That makes a ton of sense! :)
the lights REALLY do it for me
Cool wheels!
Your clips are very interesting. Nice to follow and exchange fun and new knowledge. Hope you will increase our following as well. Thank you very much.
what if it move 25º or 35º? its will have more rezis than go at 45º?
The torque needed at each wheel will vary with the angle. A simple example: if the robot is moving forward you have all 4 wheels pushing, if it moves at 45, only two wheels will be pushing.
What is it using to monitor positional feedback?
Hey. Right now it is wheel odometry. You can learn more in my portfolio post. maxpalay.com
Awesome design! WOndeirng if any custom PCBs/3D/CNC'd parts may help for upcoing upgrade? Would love to sponsor and reach any potential collab together! (PCBWay zoey)
Beautiful!!! can you share some details about the hardware you are using? drivers , break resistors (i think this is what they are) , motors etc?
Thank you! I’ll be posting an update video in a couple weeks time hopefully and make a small post on my website maxpalay.com
Nice build and design! Very clean
Glad you liked it, thanks! Will post a fully-finished update!
Awesome project! Thanks for sharing 👍.
congratulations is it full diy ? can you post the tutorial video ? will it function in drone ?
Hey! This project was a while ago and I have moved on. Glad you liked the concept. Main idea is that this could be adaptable to many platforms as it used ROS. You can check out the project on hackaday.io/maxipalay
Thank you
Nice
