What is 46 Overland Adventures. We are a family from Oklahoma that enjoy traveling, exploring, and camping together (also known as overlanding). Why 46? Oklahoma is the 46th State in the Union and that is where we call home.
Kayak Trailer Build
Building an off-road kayak trailer to expand our adventures.
The project started with an old boat trailer that was converted to carry 4 kayaks, and expandable to have a rooftop tent (next phase). Thanks for the help on this one Grandad.

This is an impromptu exploration that spun off a visit to see my great-niece graduate from Pinedale High School. I took the opportunity to explore the area and a few more highlights on the way home to Oklahoma. I hope you enjoy the scenery as much as I did. Of course, pictures and videos are never as good as seeing the actual beauty in person!

Part 1 of a 3 part series as 46 Overland explores the Ozark National Forest. This trip takes place in mid March 2023, just as the vegitation is starting to bud out for spring and the streams are flowing.

Try for the headwaters of the Green river you will come to a lake , the fish are lakers big ones , we were trolling and saw a school of 1to 2 pounders being chassed by a laker with it's head the size of a football after that we knew the fish we were catching were babies to what is really in that lake troll 60 ft and fast..? caution the road to this lake is torture and follows the Green river about 50 plus miles but worth the drive..?

What an awesome adventure and you had I got to spend one day there by myself also probably the prettiest scenery I’ve ever seen but the mosquitoes were terrible in June 2022

Wife and I have a fifth wheel and hope to be in this area next week. I have a small 14 ft Boat and wondered if it is worth pulling it along behind the fifth wheel. Love to fish. WDYT
There is a boat ramp at the lower Green River Lake. It looked like good fishing and I saw a couple of boats while there. The road is rough, but there were several campers of all sizes that were there as well. There are several lakes in the Pinedale area that are good for fishing. Fremont and Halfmoon are easy access from Pinedale.
Be VERY Aware of the road , it's LARGE potholes will TEAR UP your vehicles 😢
Spectacular. Had relatives in Pinedale myself and went there with my folks when I was young. After seeing this video I am headed back that way. Not sure if my relations are still there but my old Auntie could tell me and maybe I can learn what happened to that part of the family. Sure is a pretty part of the country.

The water fall going into the hole, could you see where it was coming out of the hole?
Yes, that was the video clips and pictures shortly after that had the falls coming out of the rock. So you can see Glory Hole Falls from the top and bottom. Really amazing and worth the hike to it.
