Really?? That is another thing i've never heard of. It sounds interesting but i kinda can understand people being a bit paranoid. I mean... i wouldnt be, i drink tap water here in italy as well but i guess in a time where things are super tense, people gets even more paranoid

I cant even think about people in the military and how their minds can work. And what happens when the wrong people ends up in these positions. Just a personal opinion, but the other one in my two is "the life of Brian". I find it a brilliant satire of politics and society in general, but even more particularly of radical political movements.

I had no idea the "Peace Is Our Profession" was a real thing but it kinda makes sense when you explain it. Still, it sounds a bit funny seeing the line of work ghghghg. About the radio thing... you are so right. I didnt even think about that. It always happen to me to talk over stuff expecially if i am saying just a couple of words 😂😂 it's not the first time that that happens even tho I am trying to get bette 😂😂😂 It is scary to think about these kind of things. Like... how many time were we on the brink of something terrible? Maybe even worse of the ones that really happened.... jeeez

@@reppyreacts Not so fun fact, there were at least 5 accidents linked to the Chrome Dome program that involved bombers crashing with nuclear weapons on board. There were multiple occasions when expensive clean up operations had to be undertaken to gather up radioactive materials that had been spread by one of these crashes. So there were definitely several times when something bad happened that could have been catastrophic, but was not due to luck or other nearly random factors.

@@reppyreacts It definitely can be, but it is a kind of fear that we were all mostly used to living with during the Cold War. That often seems very odd to anyone who has no memory of living under nuclear threat.

@@iKvetch558 oh well with what is happening in Europe now with Russian and Ukraine it's kinda a fear that comes to mind from time to time... like... there was a moment where i really thought we were moving toward ww3 but that would be a really different kind of war than before...

I havent seen all of his movies but i really love Full Metal Jacket and Shining... but i was never able to appreciate 2001 a space odissey. I tried to watch it when i was young and it took me like 2 years to actually watch it cause i would fall asleep every time XD

@@reppyreacts You should definitely try to film a reaction to 2001 at some point. Now that you are an adult and are reacting to movies, it would a perfect one to try to film for a reaction. IMHO LOL

@@reppyreacts if you think of 2001 as more like a poem, or Japanese haiku, - something which suggests ideas, rather than outright tells you, it helps. it is not like a standard film which follows a traditional narrative. it is more of a philosophical journey, and filled with many symbolic meanings and depth, rather than a plot-driven, action-filled storyline. And in a way, it is a more realistic experience of being in space where motions must be deliberate and are often slow, where people must adapt to space, rather than expect being in space to be the same as being on Earth. Kubrick fills the screen with details that become more obvious and meaningful each time you watch. Plus, when this came out, it was (originally) in Cinerama, which was a huge, curved screen and the audience felt totally surrounded (I was a teenager at the time) and felt immersed in the atmosphere of the film. The film is shown today in some theaters that still have 70mm screens and projectors which is the closest you can get to its original format. If you are ever able to attend a film festival and see it on a big screen, it makes a big difference. Film fans also love the perfection that Kubrick brought to every scene, with all the special fx being “practical” and not computer-generated, and his cinematic style, color scheme, lighting, sound effects, and his emphasis on understatement, being subtle, never being obvious and never telling the viewer what to feel, never manipulating the viewer into a reaction but leaving the audience to come to their own conclusions. Each time a person watches it, they will react differently because their own life has changed and they bring those new experiences, new realizations and new perspectives to this film, which is pondering what life is all about.

@@Dej24601 well now this is a beautiful message. I love the passion. I always thought it was visually really interesting but probably I was too young and i just wasnt ready for a movie like that. Maybe now it would be different so i will add it to my list yesh. I always thought practical effects were superior to visual effect. Even 'cause sometimes the visual effects really look not really well blended in the scene you are watching. Like... a bad practical effect is still better than a not really good visual effect to me. I also had no idea such Cinerama existed... this is the first time i've heard about it but i am really intrigued now... i need to google and read a bit about that

I'll be honest, I was looking forward to seeing your reaction to this movie as there are so few of them, but I couldn't bring myself to continue watching after your third time misusing Jesus' name. I mean I have kind of a bad mouth in general when i get excited but i usully never say anything that would offend any religious person. But in English i dont know why that is what comes out of my mouth.
