    The late pastor HMS Richards was attributed with saying, if the barn needs painting...in reference to women wearing makeup. I wear foundation and a bit of concealer because i have unflattering skin with some breakouts and feel like it's more distracting if i don't cover it up. I'm not likely to lead anyone down the wrong road by doing so. I'm definitely appalled by what has crept into our churches, such as tattoos that the wearer says are ok because it's a Bible verse or a cross. There's definitely biblical input on that one. What does Mrs. White have to say on the subject? I think she's more about health and practicality. Modesty/immodesty is fairly subjective, but you kind of know it when you see it, right?

    question. if sin cannot exist in the presence of God, and Christ being God, how could they, the wicked, survive if we live and rule on earth with Him on earth for a thousand years? if we, those of us who believe and are saved, will have bodies like His, even greater than Moses' when he came from the mount and had to wear a veil because of the brightness that shone from his face, how could the wicked still be alive? they can't.

    I'm praising the Lord for Pastor Doug... This subject is hardly shared in our churches. Pastors must address this topic in all churches and also to the candidates for the baptism. We are given a divine counsel with regard to this subject.. The Pastor’s Work. Candidates who have grown to manhood and womanhood should understand their duty better than do the younger ones; but the pastor of the church has a duty to do for these souls. Have they wrong habits and practices? It is the duty of the pastor to have special meetings with them. Give them Bible readings, converse and pray with them, and plainly show the claims of the Lord upon them. Read to them the teaching of the Bible in regard to conversion. Show what is the fruit of conversion, the evidence that they love God. Show that true conversion is a change of heart, of thoughts and purposes. Evil habits are to be given up. The sins of evil-speaking, of jealousy, of disobedience, are to be put away. A warfare must be waged against every evil trait of character. Then the believing one can understandingly take to himself the promise: “Ask, and it shall be given you.” Matthew 7:7..... One of the points upon which those newly come to the faith will need instruction is the subject of dress. Let the new converts be faithfully dealt with. Are they vain in dress? Do they cherish pride of heart? The idolatry of dress is a moral disease. It must not be taken over into the new life. In most cases, submission to the gospel requirements will demand a decided change in the dress. There should be no carelessness in dress. For Christ’s sake, whose witnesses we are, we should seek to make the best of our appearance. In the tabernacle service, God specified every detail concerning the garments of those who ministered before Him. Thus we are taught that He has a preference in regard to the dress of those who serve Him. Very specific were the directions given in regard to Aaron’s robes, for his dress was symbolic. So the dress of Christ’s followers should be symbolic. In all things we are to be representatives of Him. Our appearance in every respect should be characterized by neatness, modesty, and purity. But the word of God gives no sanction to the making of changes in apparel merely for the sake of fashion, that we may appear like the world. Christians are not to decorate the person with costly array or expensive ornaments. The words of Scripture in regard to dress should be carefully considered. We need to understand that which the Lord of heaven appreciates in even the dressing of the body. All who are in earnest in seeking for the grace of Christ will heed the precious words of instruction inspired by God. Even the style of the apparel will express the truth of the gospel. ~6T 95, 96

    So how to be saved? Let's look only at Paul's answer to this because Paul gives us the most reliable answer and it is found in Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." Paul said we are saved by believing/accepting/receiving the gospel of Christ. So what is in the gospel of Christ? The gospel of Christ is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJB)

    Let's make up our mind, if Christ who died in year 0033, did not die for our sins in ...2023, 2024, 2025, 2026... Then how can we be forgiven of all our sins? So is it our effort in repentance from our sins that will save us or is it our faith.... in Christ's effort, Christ's sacrifice for all our sins that will save us? So did Christ died for all our past present and future sins? The answer is Yes. So if Christ who died in year 0033 already died for all our sins, so is it our repentance to stop commiting sins that will caused us to be saved continuously? The answer is No. We are saved solely by trusting what Jesus has done for us at the cross. We are not saved by repenting from commiting sins

    Jesus made the way possible for men to be saved but thats not what saves you if you want to get technical about it. as a matter of fact Jesus out of his own mouth tells you how to be saved. and that is through the Holy spirit of God. Just like you have a physical birth you must have a spiritual birth and the holy spirit must quicken you and make you alive together with Christ. that is the only way a person is saved. PERIOD read John Chapter 3 where Jesus was talking to Nicodemus.

    The good news of the gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4 That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that HE was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. We all deserve to go to hell. Romans 6:23. For the penalty for sin is death, physical death, BUT, (the good news) The GIFT of God is eternal life. No one can earn heaven. Jesus paid the debt of sin we owe God and set us free from the old law of sin and death. Second Corinthians 5:21 For He hath made Him, Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, so that we might be made the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God IN HIM. Second Corinthians 9:15. Thanks be to God for His UNSPEAKABLE GIFT, ETERNAL LIFE. Romans 4:5-8. Romans 3:26-28. John 3:18. Believers can no longer be condemned to hell, but UNBELIEVERS are condemned to hell already, because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God. Galatians 2:21. I do not void the grace of God, (Romans 11:6) for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. He has IMPUTED His perfect righteousness to our account. Romans 4:6. And His one blood sacrifice covers us from all sin. First John 2:2. And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. Acts 16:31.

    In the garden they laid down the divine nature of God, and took up to sin nature, Christ death burial and Resurrection is the price that needed to be paid, that's why Christ told Nicodemus you must be born again, and that's why in The Book of Romans it says the old man must die, meaning when were born again we have a spiritual birth, after we've repented and accepted Jesus Christ as the sacrifice for our sins, Isaiah 53 shows his suffering, and while Christ was suffering in Matthew chapter 26: 36 through 46, he showed us a lesson, watch was to watch an pray that you enter not into temptation, for the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak, we have to make the same decision Jesus made in The garden of Gethsemane, not my will father but thy will be done, thank God for his Mercy, and for giving his son as a sacrifice for our sins, as the scripture says there's only one name under heaven in which a man might be saved, and that's Jesus the Christ, the savior of the world, the word that became flesh and dwelt among Us, in whom the father is well pleased.

    So if you don't keep the Sabbath can Jesus still save you?

    • @PresentTruth777
      @PresentTruth777 3 месяца назад

      We don’t keep the Sabbath to be saved, we keep the Sabbath because we are saved and because it’s part of the 10 Commandments. We keep his law because we love Him and want to please Him. Christ said, “If you love me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15. No one will be in the kingdom who openly and defiantly sins. If Satan was kicked out of heaven for sinning, then it stands to reason none of us are going into heaven sinning. The Bible says, “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” James 4:17. Christ said, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James 2:10. So if we know the Sabbath truth, and openly disobey keeping it, then we’re just as guilty of breaking God‘s law, as if we were to murder, worship other gods, blaspheme God’s name, lie, cheat, steal, etc.. God says only those who follow the lamb wherever He goes, will be in the kingdom and have access to the tree of life. And in following Christ, He asks us to keep His commandments. “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.” Revelation 22:14. I hope this helps friend. May God continue to bless you and your search for truth! 🙏🏼😊🙏🏼

      @@PresentTruth777What if I told you that Jesus is our Sabbath rest, we rest in His work on the cross, it is not a day anymore, if you rest in Him you have fulfilled the law of resting on the Sabbath, that is a truth that has been hidden in the SDA organization. Read Hebrews 4. Did Joshua give them rest, no only Jesus gives us that true rest. You have to be careful that you are not rejecting the true Sabbath rest found in Christ. There is another day, that day is Christ. "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;" Heb 2V3

      God himself after creating the Earth and all that was in it in 6 days. Made it a holy day and a day of rest and holy convocation and even wrote with his own finger in the tablets of stone. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy before Jesus ever died for our sins. The Bible says we will keep the sabbaths in heaven. You are very misunderstood my friend and there's a lot of Christians that think they can continue to live the way they want to and still be saved. That's very sad. I pray for you my friend that you will draw near to him and obey him. The Bible talks about cursings and blessings. You're cursed if you disobey and you're blessed if you obey. It's God's law of Liberty and love and how people will live in heaven. He wants them to live that way now because they have so much love for the love he's shown us by giving his son to die for us! I pray that you earnestly seek to accept the truth by the leading of the holy Spirit

    • @karl7796
      @karl7796 3 месяца назад

      @@PresentTruth777You are still missing the point, Jesus is our Sabbath rest, it is not a 24 hour day. Jesus fulfilled the law which includes being where we now rest. If you are so keen to keep the Sabbath do you turn off the power to your house, gas and water, do you remove your money in the bank on Sabbath eve so that it does not earn interest over the Sabbath? If you don't then you are not fulfilling the requirements of the Sabbath, as you would know every thing has to rest,servants animals,no work at all. So if you are using services that come into your house you are casing other people to work on the Sabbath to maintain your water, gas, your electric light, your money earning interest on the Sabbath is a type of work,so you are breaking the spirit of the Law and failing to keep the Sabbath holy.

    “The enemy (voice of the serpent or flesh) was in the flesh of Jesus, whose image (the flesh) was brought to death by the WORD to the Cross.” As I already mentioned before, the voice of the serpent was present in the temporary body of Jesus. This is the very reason why the WORD was sent to this kind of body. The WORD needed to release the soul of Jesus from the captivity of the voice of the flesh, because any soul sent to a human flesh will automatically be ruled or become one with the flesh. This is the curse which was spoken to the woman in Genesis 3:16 that she (the soul of the sons of Israel) will be ruled by her husband. The husband is the flesh and the woman is the soul. And this is what happened to the soul of Jesus before the WORD was breathed in his body, and also the souls of all the other sons of GOD who are waiting for the WORD. Everyone who is born of a woman is under the law, not just the physical Israel. If you look closely to what Paul said to the Church in Galatia, who are non-Jews but Gentiles, he said that the WORD was born of a woman, born under the law, so that those who were under the law will be redeemed and that they (non-Jews) will receive the adoption as sons. Who were redeemed from the law whom Paul was addressing to? The Church in Galatia who are non-Jews. Therefore, they were also under the law, but because of the work of the WORD, they were redeemed and became adopted sons. Because of ignorance towards the WORD of GOD, by using their own knowledge and from the knowledge of this world, the world is worshipping the flesh instead of GOD. They worship what the WORD abolished and put to death. They worship the image of the serpent, which is the temporary body of Jesus, which the WORD already brought to the Cross so that it will die completely in His temporary body. The world cannot and will never understand the WORDS of GOD because they are ruled by the voice of the flesh in their bodies who will bring them to eternal destruction. But if you are one of the lost sons of GOD, enslave by the flesh, you will come out from that captivity when you hear the Voice of the FATHER thru my testimony of TRUTH. It is the WORD who is talking to you, using my mouth so that you will hear the Voice of the FATHER. Therefore, “If today you will hear His Voice, harden not your heart.” Do not wait for tomorrow because it might not come anymore. Come out of the captivity while there is still time. Maranatha! Come quickly, my LORD! Amen and Amen! All praises, all honor and all glory belong to the One and True Living GOD alone, who is a Spirit and not flesh nor angel! Amen and Amen! I am ready to come Home to Your Kingdom, my FATHER! Amen and Amen! Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-5 NKJV‬‬ 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

    Mathew 25:31-41 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 4

    NO jewelry?... No wedding ring? No class ring? No Christian jewelry? I love the cross my mother gave to me, I never take it off. For my best friend and sister in Christ, I give a beautiful cross on her birthday and Christmas. One was made in ethiopia, another has red agate (for Christmas holidays) etc. Each is bold and beautiful. (she is a large older woman who wears mostly black) her cross is literally her statement piece. People always compliment her on how beautiful her crosses are and that opens the conversation for witnessing. There is beautiful Christian jewelry that points to our faith (like my friends bracelet with the Christian fish). God made artists / artisans who create beautiful jewelry for us. That biblical reference was their haughtiness and jingling to the point of distraction. When Paul admonishes the women to cover their heads in church, they're plaited hair had so many jewels / baubles that the light bounced off their heads like a disco ball. Also some their super flashy jewels is what they would wear in the pagan temples prior to their conversion. They were trying to show off their wealth and status so they too were being haughty. Big difference from wearing jewelry that elegantly compliments one's atire. I personally don't wear jewelry because I can't be bothered. However I have seen women in church and they might have a statement piece and it's a great conversation starter. One can be stylish, elegant AND modest and appropriate for the occasion / weather. Personally if I visited a church and all the women look like whistler's mother I'd think it was some cult and leave. I think if you're trying to sport super expensive jewelry (for men a Rolex) that could be showy and prideful. But a teen wearing a shark tooth necklace to remind him of his surfboarding adventure seems perfectly okay to me. Just saying...

      Why Be a Stumbling Block? One reason I do not drink any alcohol is because one person in seven who imbibes will eventually become an alcoholic. Even though I might be able to drink moderately, I do not want my bad example to cause another person's downfall-especially for something so unnecessary as intoxicating beverages. The same principle holds true for jewelry. We have all seen people who cover themselves with gold and precious jewels-gem-aholics, if you will. Most people who wear lots of jewelry do not sense their personal worth. They hope to feel more valuable by covering themselves with expensive articles. Others believe they are unattractive and hope to increase their perceived beauty by adorning themselves with beautiful gems. They can't control themselves. They think that if one is good, then 10 would be better. (Just for the record, I have never heard a man say: "Isn't she beautiful? Just look at her jewelry!") I'm sure everyone would agree that there is a point when enough is enough! Well, here is the big question. What is that point? If it's okay for women to wear earrings, then who is to say it's wrong for men? If one ring or earring is acceptable, then why not three or four? If the laymen can wear jewelry, why not the clergy? If a ring in the ear is all right, then what's wrong with a bone in the nose? Perhaps you have noticed the modern craze of body piercing. Four earrings in one ear and rings in the nose with a chain between them. People are now piercing their flesh and wearing rings in their eyebrows, navels, tongues, and other places I'd rather not mention. Why would a Christian want to be a stumbling block for someone else and encourage this trend by wearing any jewelry? (I used to sport multiple facial and ear piercings of my own and wore my fair share of jewelry. Today, to not be a stumbling block for my brother, I wear none.) It's all unnecessary. Especially for people who are preparing to meet Jesus. Speaking of people living in the time of the end, the prophet Ezekiel warns, "They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity." Ezekiel 7:19. If I were to wear any jewelry, I would instantly open the floodgates of inconsistency by my example and cause many to stumble. If I really love my brother, why would I insist on taking that risk for something so frivolous and unnecessary as jewelry? Whenever you are unsure about which course to take on a spiritual issue, take the safe position. I know that on the judgment day, God will not condemn anyone for not wearing enough jewelry. So the safe thing is to not wear any. Please follow the link below to study more on this subject. @@PresentTruth777 I will definitely check out the link, thank you!. I will say this, 1. this sounds so much like Pharisee legalism. 2. When the camera pans the audience there were several young people sitting there who looked absolutely miserable. Very strict legalistic churches are the ones where the young people reject God and the scriptures when they move out as adults. 3. My cross is my identification mark. I am saying "I am His and He is mine!". When I asked a Muslim woman why she wore a hijab even though it made her stand out in our Western society (the premise behind hijab is that she fits in and not stands out) she said "because it signifies to everyone that I am Muslim" I will therefore signify to all "I am Christian!" 4. What a terrible witness I am to the world when I demonstrate that I must wear muted colors, zero jewelry, while someone else might wear a beautiful floral print blouse celebrating spring (God's creation). Then I invite them to church and they ask about the somber clothing and no jewelry and I respond Christians SHOULDN'T...?What does that have to do with SALVATION?? 5. Roman soldiers had cleats in their shoes, does that mean your son in soccer is not allowed to have cleats? Nero used Christians as human torches. Does that mean we're not allowed to have torches for outdoor functions? If someone uses fire for arson does that mean I can't use fire for cooking? Fornication and adultery is rightly forbidden. Does that mean sex is a terrible thing between a MARRIED couple? Songs these days have sinful lyrics. Does this mean we should eliminate music and not sing praises to the Lord? It's not the fire, it's not the sex, it's not the music, it's how these things are gifts are ABUSED. 4. The Levite priests were greatly ADORNED! You said the Angels must think "why are people adorning themselves with pavement?" The ark of the covenant was covered with gold by GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS! This clearly illustrates that God LOVES beauty, art, artisans / craftsman. I could go on but I think you get my point...

      @@PresentTruth777 This is incredibly legalistic. A pair of earrings or a bracelet or a necklace is not the gateway to haughtiness or extreme "Mr.T" like jewelry consumption. Teach modesty with jewelry. One doesn't need to be gaudy or flashy like rappers and entertainers. A lady doesn't need 6 earrings in one ear or form fitting, super short clothing attire that is a lure for men. Men don't need to wear women's clothing or makeup. I do agree that some people wear jewelry to compensate for something greater, but it does not make sense to ban all jewelry. Remember the significance of the signet ring, a piece of very important jewelry.
