Big Bang was a name given by an ignorant skeptic. Although scientists understood the process as rapid expansion of space itself, they kept the pejorative name because they couldn't care less about ignorant skeptics. 😂

@michaelvogl1486 Well, I could say alot of things, but the main thing is that I chose to believe in the Bible, and that there is a creator. Not that we all exist by random chance. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. That's what I chose to believe. As I look around and see the amazing world we live in, I see no possible way it was all created by chance, or that we evolved. Nothing today has ever evolved or changed from what it was originally created. A monkey is still a monkey as a dog is still a dog even though there are different breeds and kinds. As for not being millions of years old, or billions of years old. The biblical time frame is about 6,000 years give or take:)

If your beliefs require you to deny consensus conclusions in modern science, then you need to reevaluate your beliefs. The evidence for a very old earth (4.6 billion years), a very old universe (13.8 billion years), and evolution as the mechanism for the development of life on earth I'd overwhelming.

@thomasoppe358 That's totally up to the individual to decide what they believe:) I choose to believe I have a Creator, as opposed to believing that we all exist from nothing. Plus, evolution is only a theory. It's not some law that's ever been proven. So, by that, evolution is a religion just as much as Christianity.

I'd = is in my previous post. One can be a Christian without taking Genesis literally, which many Christisns have adopted in the face of the conclusions of modern science. Also, keep in mind that modern science is a network of interconnecting facts. Thus the claim of a 6,000 year old earth violates not just geology, but also astronomy, anthropology, physics (e.g., denying radiometric dating of rocks), dating of trees by tree rings etc. In other words, there are multiple independent evidences from several scientific disciplines that all point consistently to an ancient earth.
