Cyanotype on Vintage Paper. My summer of learning how to sun print.
Join me as I spend the summer learning how to create cyanotype prints in my garden. In this video I am creating beautiful silhouettes on vintage paper from an old atlas. I use Jacquard Iron Salts; Potassium Ferricyanide and FerricAmmonium Citrate to create a light-sensitive solution that I brushed on the paper (in the dark).

I didn’t want to cover with another piece of paper so I pulled out my acrylic paints and a roller to see what would transpire. These card bases are essentially layers of acrylic paint, applied with a roller. I used three shades of blue, white, brown and gold. Th...

❤❤❤
Oh, I love making these kind of flowers. I’ve been making these for years and you are doing so wonderfully. I love your channel new subscriber. Don’t you just love sharing on RUclips me too❤
Great video! One of the best I've seen for making fodder! Thank you!,
Drunken line 😂 love it. Great video❣️
Thank you for the video.
Excellent tutorial 😀❤
I can paint a blob. In fact, even when I'm doing everything from a portrait or a landscape, it all looks like blobs. So, I'm going to give this a try. (I'm assuming you're using watercolor paper. Doesn't really matter, it'll come out looking like blobs no matter what kind of paper I use.)
So simple and beautiful ❤thanks
Great tutorial! Can't wait to make a bunch of these.
Ya drop the music. It’s annoying.
You make it look so easy ❤Thank you for sharing your work ❤
"The first line is never the right line."
Thank you for sharing! Love it!
Loved watching you make these flowers Kerry. ❤️❤️
Love these so much but I couldn’t find the stamps on Amazon I would love to buy them
Love love love this!!
Thank you!
❤😂 a
Very nice! Excellent colors.
What kind of paper?
Yummy! Thank you for sharing a repeatable process. It's inspiring to start a project when one has such a process.
These are very pretty! Do you use card stock onto which to make your gel print?
For these I was using cardstock. You could of course collage on a cardstock tag.
When I can't think what to paint, pages of leaves it is for me! Lots of different shades etc, but yours are gorgeous! You've given me more ideas - thank you!
This was so much fun when I was finished I coated them with iridescent medium.
Thank you for this tutorial!! What was the opening music in the video? I’ve heard it before, and like it, but I don’t know what it is!
Thank you ❤ seeing you do that makes me think I can do that! Love your work ❤️
Thank you for sharing this technique ❤
OMG OMG This was mind glowing
Beautiful and easy designs for fodder. Thank you for this inspiration
These are wonderful. Thanks for sharing your technique. I have a question about the gouache. Isn't it water soluble? Do you fix your leaves before you cut them out or squish them up with water?
I love this 💖 I want to create faces all the time so, Thank you for sharing 😊
Love these.
Love this idea. One note, I would recommend to drop the music and have only your voice. You have a lovely voice and the music takes away from the tutorial.
And it’s way too loud… sorta like annoying commercials that come on ten times louder than the program they’re interrupting 😂
Love these❤
I've watched your video 3 times and spent 2 evening's painting leaves with you. This is so much fun, and the doodling makes them come alive.❤
These look like a lot of fun. Thank you for the inspiration. That 1st tag you showed is stunning. You're really good, and I hope you come back and make more videos.
I absolutely LOVE these!!!!!!! I can’t wait to make some. They are sooooooooo FuNkY!!!!!!
Thank you! Let me know how it goes.
What did you prime the canvas with? Was it just a cheap store bought canvas? Or a certain kind?
I didn’t prime them they were bought at Michaels and they were the inexpensive ones
Did you say what kind of paper and paint you use?
Watercolour paper
@@engelbelle4860that so does NOT answer the question. 100% cotton? 25% cotton? Artist quality? Student grade? Kids’ stuff? 90 lb? 140 lb? Hot pressed? Rough? Arches? Canson? W&N? Strathmore? Fabriano? Meeden? Fluid 100? Artisto? Grumbacher? …
👍👍👍💕💕💕🇩🇰
You are a very easy teacher to follow and I love the simplicity of your projects. I am a card maker and am always looking for different ideas from other artists. Thanks.
So much fun!!
Great presentation. Thanks for sharing ❤
hi is embroidering letters on convas possible? i mean like when there's no space in between the bold letters like how they sew on clothes etc if you get what i mean. Can you tell me is it possible? I'm trying to make a gift for someone and it's my first time so i don't wanna mess up
Sorry I don’t have experience with letters
Love these thank you for sharing. Are you using watercolour paper or printer paper?
I’m using Copy paper - printer paper
@@engelbelle4860 Thank you. 🙏
I always found watercolor very tricky. I've been struggling with five-petaled flowers and I'm going to try your method! Thank you for the tutorial!
Love it!! Thank you
