How the Cartier Crash Became a MILLION DOLLAR Watch
Back in 2018, Kanye West did what Kanye often did - he tweeted. But for the first time, maybe ever, he posted something you might’ve posted before - a crappy wristshot. And it wasn’t just any wrist shot, it was a funny-looking Cartier with origins dating back to 1960s London.
But the Cartier Crash is way more than a watch that a few famous guys happened to wear.
In reality, the surreal Crash was the amalgamation of a few different forces coming together at Cartier London and in the city of London itself in the 1960s. The “Swinging Sixties” saw an increased interest in bold fashion and design, and an independent and innovative Cartier London workshop.

It should be 34mm or 36mm for dress watch
If this was 1955 yes
If you’re a female, yes. Otherwise, 39mm is perfect.
Please help me i am buy in product
This watch trash, everybody wear w/e a celebrity makes hot, it is and always will be ugly
A great insight, thank so much for that. Such a shame that these will never now be owned by “normal” collectors, only the Uber-Rich. Hey ho, we can appreciate them from afar instead 🙏
This was a great video and made me feel like I could become real interested in the watch scene. It was a shame hoping to see growth after this first video and seeing you threw in the towel so quick. Think this genuinely has something I haven’t found yet that connects to me at 30 years old, having different tastes and cultural references. In the past I’ve subconsciously got the vibe that the world of watches feels like a bar you know not to wander into if you don’t know anyone in there. Most of my life has revolved around skateboarding which tbf is probably an even more intimidating scene to get involved in. That being said I don’t have a problem with that aspect. I completely understand why a group who’s extremely dedicated to their passion can be wary of the motives behind newcomers interest. Point is, I think you’ve got something here. I felt strongly enough I left this rambling comment in an effort to get my point across that I think you could educate and get a younger audience interested in this topic. I’ve always found watches extremely intriguing from a young age but I never felt a communal connection to it. There’s a lot of people my age genuinely interested in the culture and history of fashion and designer goods but seem to lack any connection or deeper layer of knowledge when it comes to watches. Take it or leave it, just hoping to add some constructive information ✌️🫠 Also, might be worth checking out the channel @Threaducation to see the potential of educating a younger audience on topics similar to this.
Love it! Pure class and timeless.
I think it’s gorgeous
To bad is only 38,5. If it was in 41 mm, now it were on my wrist
It's nice but it is overpriced. For over $30k, you can look into possibly Lange or Patek territory.
And ? It’s not like those model have something better …
@@sergezerkin what do you mean and? Lange and Patek offer better craftsmanship. Did you not know this? It's like comparing a Rolex to a Tag. A good chunk of yt videos are comparison videos and most ppl want good value for their money
Please help me
5 millions for a stainless steel watch is a bit stupid purchase
It's white gold 🥲
Wayyy overpriced
No. 6119 vs 1908 I'd take rolex platinum 1908 🎉
When Rolex 1908 2024 new product they just copy the dial pattern by CITIZEN NK5010-51L Automatic 60 hour power reserve what a great show Rolex makes me laugh.
Is this sale available online? Thanks 😁
