Starlink Mini + 5G Tactical Box 100% off-grid internet forever with 1,200Wh battery and solar
12v 100Ah 1,200Wh wattcycle mini Bluetooth battery
10A MPPT charge controller
GL.iNet X3000 5G cellular modem
60A charger
100amp input and output port
This should run either the 5G modem or Starlink mini for two or three days without solar at 24/7 use, or both for about two days. Running wattage with both is 20 W idle and around 40 W both full blast.
I can configure the box to do WAN balancing or failover.
I basically wanted to DIY an Ecoflow but figured I’d chuck in 5G and Starlink.
Yes everything works with the lid closed. Still need to test thermals.

Neat. How do you power the starlink off 12V? Are you using a 12V to 48V boost converter or is this starlink 12V capable?

    • @zorrobyte4183

The Starlink Mini has something like 12V to 30-40 barrel plug input? The specs sheet will do you well! Note if using 12v, keep your cable run short as voltage drop will cause boot loops. Better to bump to 20V+ if doing long wire runs

Thanks for putting this info up. Over the years I have used gensets for portable work. Leaving the fuel valve turned on while unattended is risky, and not recommended by the manufacturer. The valve in the carburetor can leak, flood the engine, and in extreme situation the fuel will dilute the engine oil. Use a voltage controlled solenoid to eliminate that issue

Just started to get this vibration after crossing a cross road at high speed and the truck g’d out a bit, unloaded the suspension and came down hard on it. Suspect either the tires have moved off center on studs as I have stud not hub centric wheels, (methods) or the drive shaft got slightly bent, and is causing a harmonic vibration that seems to now be in the seats at around 70-75 mph. I hope it didn’t bend the output shaft of the transfer case or the front of the rear axle pinion shaft. I suspect it is a run out issue now, throwing an off center vibration into the mix. But need to check tires, then probably put up on jack stands and manual rotate the driveshaft as mounted and check with a mag-base and dial indicator for runout at the transfer case output area, pinion balancing weight, and then at front, center and rear of driveshaft. Run out is very critical as a slight amount will induce vibration. I worked in axle engineering at Chrysler’s jeep and truck division years back and we spent a ton of time trying to eliminate it in unit body Jeeps which proved very challenging. The pinion shaft is usually a big factor. Runout on it needs to be below .005-.007” any more and the vibration will be noticeable. And the drive lines need to be phased together correctly at the pinion to rear driveshaft interface.

I have the same problem , i just cant believe ford has so many problems and never do re-calls to all those problems. A truck cant just vibrate because thats how it was made is crazy. I pun new shocks, new tires, new rotors and took the driveshaft to get re balance. Still has a little bit of vibration. But o well is a ford.

Thank you for this video, it was well done and will help me troubleshoot my issues. I just want to make sure I understand your setup before I move forward. You just jacked up the rear tires, chocked the front tires, and then started "driving" your truck to test for these vibrations, correct? Just put it in drive and hit the gas? You don't need to worry about no resistance on the tires when it is up in the air like that? I want to make sure I am doing it safely. FYI, i have a 2WD F250. Thank you!

You can run up to 6 relays now with the Venus software on the raspi. We have reconfigured the Venus relay control page to be on the front screen called switching .Also we have a interface done for this and to include I/O Analog inputs for temps and tanks Canbus VE direct etc. If any ones wants the information and schematics to how this is done the are open source just email me.
