    When doing the reclamation at the end, does it matter if the water is DI or tap? My tap water is about 500 ppm TDS, high in calcium.

      The graphic shows that there was zero <radiogenic> lead, which doesn't imply there's actually no lead.

    And from the video, I would say this is the most powerful software to analyze the U-Pb geochronological data. But I am not sure if it is friendly to the user like me who has no basic knowledge on the Matlab

    Can I ask a question about isotope dilution? I am curious why we add a third isotope if we could measure the U-238 and U-235 (and Pb isotopes) directly since we already have two isotopes of the same elements we are examining .. is it because there is not enough of these isotopes in the sample to be measured directly/effectively? Thank you!

    • @connorv3130
      @connorv3130 3 года назад

      Or is it because you need a known quantity to associate with the measured ratio?

    How to figure the decay rate over time? Are you able to see a decay rate over a 1 year or 30 year period? Would the tested item require a constant atmosphere and cosmic ray saturation?

      We tried but it's too thick to pass through our filter paper and getting it back to proper density is more of a hassle. MI has a low viscosity and is relatively easy to remove acetone and get back to it's highest density.
