INSTALLING M4 LED PROJECTORS & COMPETITION NAMEPLATE
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.7 месяцев назад
Doing a few minor interior mods to my 2025 LCI M4. Installation of the LED door projectors was fairly straight forward. During installation of the competition nameplate, 2 small scuff marks were left on my trim and I would suggest avoiding the use of plastic pry tools here.

FIRST 2025 BMW M4 LCI DELIVERY IN NORTH AMERICA!
#1 thing is manual transmission
The saddest part is that BMW refuses to make a better Pin Crank Hub and to stop using hard Plastic coolant flanges and should use aluminum flanges. Do we need to petition for BMW to make these options? Since the probability of them going bad is literally 70% fault ratio. Lol.
I might go brooklyn on kyalami on my next g82
Looking for deeper tone but don’t want to go cat less. This one sounds perfect for my needs.
You’ll love this combo
Any way to get an option for carbon fiber side skirts? The oem carbon package doesn't give that. Also no front lip carbon. Awesome detailed vid btw!
Thanks ! Try part number 51192473040 that might be OEM carbon skirts for g80 though not g82. For side skirts I would suggest looking into aftermarket ones since I don’t like the winglet type of look that OEM offers. There are a few good carbon companies out there. There is an OEM carbon lip available but it’s not too aggressive looking
Alibaba exhausts getting really good
Thanks this worked like a charm.
Glad it worked for you !
Amaaaazing ride 👌🏽 Camera clarity is top notch as well. What do you use to film?
Thank you! I just use an iPhone 16 pro nothing fancy haha
Carbon ceramics are useless for street
Yeah but they just look nice haha
Bucket seat, if you look at the leather where you sit on, begins to lift up and it’s horrible…. And I’m talking about somewhere around the 10,000 mile mark and those bucket seats are pretty but they’re super uncomfortable with those humongous side bolsters they’re worse than the GT three.
Normal wear and tear. If you go in a certain way you can avoid hitting the bolsters completely haha
Looking great! I wish my factory MPHAS went as low as yours. Loving the height.
Thank you!! Ride quality/ performance between springs and coilovers are so different. If you want a more capable ride with full adjustability I’d highly recommend getting some coilovers
Do you know if they offer a chrome tip option?
If you contact masteryofartanddesign on IG they can let you know
What about headlight height? Did you have to modify level sensor?
I didn’t bother to adjust the headlight height … if anything it’d be a marginal difference. There are a lot of videos out on RUclips to check headlight height with a blank wall at your garage and some tape. I did it with my last car
Its road and track, not race and track
Good call !
looks perfect. Any lower will look ghetto.
Thanks man !
Thanks for the video! I have a 2024 g82 and I was thinking about dropping it with h&r sport springs and I’m wondering what’s your take on that? Are coilovers that much better than springs to justify the price?
The price difference is definitely justified. With a coilover system you’re getting the entire setup which is optimized to perform cohesively. With springs you’re just aesthetically lowering the car. I would always say go with the full coilover setup
I'm loving the stance
Thank you !
Off video question..What rear spoiler do you have and where did you get it? Thank you
It’s the MHC “m4 style” rear trunk lip from r44 performance bro
"walking on wood sound" is probably because of tire rubbing on plastic inner fender part. Best fix option is to buy R44 enhanced clearance arch kit for g8x.
It wasn’t the fender arch, that was already addressed before coilovers went in check 4:55 marker of the video to see that. In my case the sound was just due to the geometry of the car changing. I kept the front low as is and slightly raised the rear which completely eliminated the noise
Appreciate that you said the 3 things up front! Instead of dilly dallying like most of these car RUclipsrs do lol. As much as I would love to lower my m4, the roads In my area are complete garbage, no way my car would survive lowered 💀 * edit Lmao we both lost the tire lottery and got pirellis 💀💀
Appreciate the feedback bro! Not trying to waste anyone’s time haha, as a RUclips watcher myself I always hope for the answer right at the beginning and then if I want to continue watching I will so I’m just trying to do content from that perspective 😅 My pirellis only have like one season left on them LOL my rears are pretty worn after only 4000 miles
@@Automaz_ LMAO damn bro, constant RWD burnouts or what 😭😭😂 Your content is dope bro, keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll be at the top in no time! 💪🏼😤
Blew the welds off the intake manifold
Lolll what
nice fitment nice height, will you do wheels?
Thanks bro! I’m going to drop another video about my whole tire and winter setup issue haha. But I decided to make my OEM wheels the winter setup and I’m thinking about get M4 CS rims as the summer set
What was the final drop numbers? How many millimeters front/back? Steering response and ride quality better than stock? Do you meet the EDC function? Thank you.
Since I adjusted so many times I unfortunately don’t have the final drop numbers. I am completely flush on the front and then almost completely flush on the rear. It’s a significant drop from stock ride height. Ride quality is even BETTER than it was stock. I am running the Ohlins on the stiffer setting (I did 8 clicks, 10 is recommended, smaller the number the more stiff). The car is very planted, cornering capability feels more confident, and not sloppy over bumps. I purchased the EDC cancel kit , it’s a plug in so you do not get any errors on the iDrive. EDC buttons don’t do anything now
Did you get an error with the headlights ? Or did you have to readjust the headlights after installing your coils ?
Anybody have a solid option for the XDrive 24 M4 lowering springs? I've heard so many things about all lower springs. I don't want any rubbing. Thanks!
KW HAS kit will get you the lowest drop. I would’ve gone with that if I didn’t do coilovers. In terms of rubbing, you just need to purchase the little fender clearance piece. Cut the fins in your finder liner and put the little clearance piece as I did. You can watch the 4:55 marker of this video to see what that looks like
@@Automaz_ Thank you, appreciate it man.

I love how u explained the 3 things right away.. so what ended up being the issue and how did u solve it?
It was just the geometry of the car in my case. As soon as I raised the rear a bit more all the noise went away. If I drop the rear some more with helper springs there may be noise again but at that point I’d try to correct it by installing some SPL outer tie rods and such. It varies case by case but this is all normal and not the fault of the coilovers or springs
@Automaz_ u don't need to lower it anymore it looks really good.
Appreciate it bro 🫡🫡
They all settle. Some more than others, but they all settle.
From my experience on my last 3 cars, they didn’t settle enough to be considered impactful to me
@Automaz_ Sorry, but you have no basis for an opinion. Why? Simple--- you admitted in your video that you adjusted your ride height after installing your coilovers. If you left them untouched for several months, they would 100% settle. You just weren't patient enough to leave them alone and then you claimed that they didn't settle. It doesn't happen that quickly. You're clearly new to lowering cars.
What's the name of the grill?
SOOQOO V2
what front grill is that?
SOOQOO V2
My Dinan suspensions on my E36 and E46 M3's settled over the years. Just put on a CarBahn coilover/monoballs/camber plates/toelinks with blokers and there is a slight creak from the rear end but nothing like what you're hearing. Also took it back and confirmed all was tightened down. Such is life.
Yeah I was super concerned when I heard it haha but glad I was able to get it resolved. Hopefully you get yours sorted out or it just goes away on its own. These are the headaches we choose to take on when modifying but so worth it
Your car is 🔥🔥🔥💪🏾😁🤜🏾
Thank you broooo 🫡🫡🫡
The car looks perfect this way. Don't care for the slammed look. I had HAS springs on my g80 m3 rwd and it made all kinds of noises. Took them off and just went with Eibach springs all around . Car handles better and I'm not scraping everywhere. I'm not holding up traffic doing acrobat getting in and out of everywhere.
The sideway maneuver to avoid the speed bumps 😂😂😂
I have the g82 2025 m4 and there is no way I’m lowering it. To each his own. Your car looks great brother.. keep of the great work.
Looks good. Go any lower and your going to have problems, ride quality will go down...
Thanks bro!
Absolutely stunning man! I also have a 2025 and found you through the Uniden R8 hardwired install video so I really have to thank you for that! Are you running spacers by chance and what size? Also in love with your grille, what is that?!?!
Glad I could help bro! I’m running 15 mm spacers all around. The grille is the SOOQOO V2 carbon grille. I’ll be putting on a front lip next
@@Automaz_ Thanks brother!! I'd be looking forward that that vid and insight on lip clearance while lowered. Considering how much I want to 'touch' my individual maritime blue haha
Modding makes the soul happy 😂
Congrats on your purchase. Just remember you own the car, not the other way around. Enjoy it w/o stressing too much about the small stuff, they won't matter in the long run.

Adjustable tie rods.. the factory fixed length tie rods attached to your sway bar is designed for factory height suspension. You’ll need adjustable ones
I have SPL front outer tie rods purchased. I was going to install them along with the Millway monoballs. However since the noise went away after raising the rear I decided not to install them. If I lower the rear more with the helper springs I may get the outer tie rods and monoballs installed
Car is looking and sounding great! I had a very similar creak on a previous car and it turned out to be the Top Hat Bearing.
Thank you bro! Trying to tastefully mod it haha. I initially thought about top hat and such but all my OEM components only had 3000 miles on them … I was getting so frustrated 😂
Only option that I know I’m picking is the carbon ceramic brakes and ventilated seats - no carbon buckets for me. Order will be placed soon.
Congrats! You’re going to love the car
Just ordered a completely base m3. Thanks for helping
Congrats on your order !!
can you just order it or do you need to get an allocation?
Stunning. Ordered mine this week but bucket seats, do you find them tiring or bearable on longer trips?
I love the seats!! Super comfy in my opinion. Congrats on your order !!
Loved it bro, waiting for next video 👀🔥
Thanks bro! New video has dropped haha
beautiful car brother and congrats you got the carbon fiber buckets too lol the unlock animation is so dope i posted a video of mine too
I was so excited when I saw that animation for the first time 😂
Thanks bro!
1) I thought about getting the seats, but it was a bitch getting in and out of the G80. So far, you are 0 for 1. 2) Executive package. You nailed that 1. 1 for 2. 3) Full Marino leather. Yes, huge difference, 2 for 3. 4) Parking Assist, yes again. 3 for 4. 5) Shadowline Lights. Definitely, 4 for 5, not bad. I went with Tanzanite Blue II, this is very personal of course. Brooklyn Gray is cool. I'm not a fan of Alcantara wheels and I bought the Professional Driving Package. I added the Carbon brakes too, because of the brake dust horror stories. I did the Carbon Exterior Package. Driver Assistance Package, for sure. Nice review, great car.
Great spec you got there!! I like tanzanite blue especially in the sun
Buckets are the worse lol, i've been in it, and I wasn't comfortable personally, so it varies on everybody. . nice car tho. I own bmws I love them but hate all the add ons they make u pay for. I got BK grey on my x3 it's a great color and hides a lot of dirt
Yeah it’s all preference bro! Team Brooklyn Grey haha
Thats cool brother

What’s the difference between resonated and the non-resonated midpipe?
Resonator gets rid of a lot of that unwanted noise / rasp
@ thank you for clarifying that, MAD definitely have the best value over other brand exhaust
Need some low man. I’m sure you have it in the works
Currently on coilovers brotha . Video will be going up next 👀👀
Great vid, very helpful, thank you!
Glad the video was helpful !
Sounds so good, if I install the MAD muffler will I still need the vale controller to make it 100% open?
Yeah you need the valve controller with any exhaust that utilizes the OEM harness to get its full potential out
