MAKING MONEY AT THE JUNKYARD SELLING PARTS (SCRAP CARS) $$$
Nirvana one is crazy
How long does it usually take for a part to sell?
Maybe 1-6 months but every item in different, I’ve had a few front grills sell the same week as me listing them because there was no used ones listed for sale on eBay besides mine
Just checked this guys ebay store sold items list and he barely sold car parts, mainly dvds. Not someone good to follow for advise.
Over the past 2 years I’ve sold over 30 car parts, they are not easy to source , I’ve sold lights, front grills, sun visors and lots more, just because I haven’t sold thousands of parts doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m talking about, unfortunately I live in a small town with just 1 public junkyard, if I was able to source more items you would see more items sold, you are only looking at the past 90 days in sales, if you seen every car part I ever sold you may have more respect but I understand that most people are intimidated by selling online, and may not understand others strategies, I only buy in demand parts that I know are going to sell quick, I could easily have thousands of car part sales if I bought every item and waited months for them to sell but having just high profit items makes it more worth my while, I do not do this as a full time and I also do not have room currently for storage for hundreds of car parts but I’d love to keep growing and expanding what I do when it comes to selling online, and comments like this only encourage me to keep going, Thanks - Brandon
@brandon5853 good glad to know my comment motivated you. Go get it
How do you know what years a part is good for
If I’m looking at a 2006 Toyota Tacoma glove box I’ll look up on eBay 2006 Toyota Tacoma glove box and sort by lowest price when I see one the same it will tell me the year range I believe 2005-2015 for that Tacoma
Hi, I'm soooo happy that I just found your channel. I'm interested in changing categories to auto parts; your channel has REALLY helped me to do my research on narrowing down a niche. Thank you 👍.
Glad you like the channel , working on a new video now stay tuned and best of luck !
how do you find the models that the part fits ive always wondered. lets say you get something from a 2013 nissan altima, where do you go to find out it fits the 2009-2014 models as an example. love the content dude youre awesome
So when u research parts for a specific vehicle say 2010 Tacoma glovebox I’ll see what my competitors on eBay have listed and they will have the range of years suitable in their listing which is 2005-2015 for that item also most parts have a part number which will also link you to the OEM part on the car manufacturers parts site
And I appreciate the support new video coming soon !
@@brandon5853 sweeeeeeeeet cant wait dude. I’ve been watching your junkyard finds and those metal detecting vids you got. Love getting out there and trying to find a way to make some money 💰
How long on average would you say it takes for you to sell the parts?
I’ve had parts sell the same week as I listed them and I’ve had some parts take 6 months to a year it’s all about supply and demand on each item
Your joy is always someone else’s tragedy
For sure, always a story on how these items were lost, this one had to hurt, 3 silver coins in the 1870s , 23 cents was worth a lot more back then
Those Tacoma bucket seats were nice
nice bit if silver found
Yes, check my recent short upload, found 3 silvers in one hole
Just pulled an overhead console from a 2006 Titan. Can't wait to get it cleaned up and listed. Thank you for the video, lots of good information here!
That’s awesome lots of profit to be made on those, even some rare varieties of them worth over $200 ! Thanks for watching and good luck!
@@brandon5853I just sold it yesterday for $150 after originally paying $36 for it. Thanks again! 🙏🏾
Congrats, love to hear parts being saved and profits being made best of luck !
What thrift store?
Lol.. and I thought my interior was bad! 😂😂😂
Did u take it or leave it?
I took it and sold it, there’s a full length junkyard video on my channel
How do you know what parts to go after ? Which one are worth the work.
I use eBay and search sold parts for each vehicle , most modern American vehicles don’t have a lot of valuable parts but older and newer Toyotas and Hondas have rare parts
How much is that worth?
That's really cool
Hi, do you mind sharing what tools you bring?
Interior trim removal tools, t handle bit driver with Phillips and torx bits, ratchet and sockets, wire cutter, and anything else I need
@@brandon5853 Thank you
WOW
What a find hahah
Not something I’ve ever seen before lol I wonder what 1/26th of a shilling would buy in 1846
I also like to flip some junkyard parts, but typically been pretty limited in what I take/list. This video gives me more ideas and we'll see if I am as profitable as you. Appreciate these videos! Cheers from North Carolina
I’m always willing to take a risk on different parts if I can get them cheap, my issue is getting access to unique / old vehicles rarely happens here, if I can find a whole car I’ll part it out on video, best of luck from Canada cheers
@@brandon5853 I mostly do toyota stuff, as well as other Japanese brands. Just extra money to put towards my own car What do your yards charge for steering wheels? Airbag?
@@garrettxowens I’ve done well with older Toyota 4Runners, Camrys and Tacomas , but to find anything older than 2000 at a yard here is very rare because the cars rust out very fast on the east coast from ocean air and salt on the roads winter time , I’ve never purchased a steering wheel or airbag here, are they very profitable for you? This yard is usually priced fair but some things are high like $45ca for master window switch
@@brandon5853 I do good with certain steering wheels from corolla, rav4, matrix, and pontiac vibe from early 00s Here it's about 15 for the wheel, I can get 60+ for them. Really good condition fetches 130
How much that worth
Im not sure, as its dug up maybe only $5-10 but if it was a specific regiment or officer it could be pretty valuable , I recently dug some specific regiment buttons I will upload the videos soon
how do you know its vintage
It’s an older style bell likely from a horse trailer, google ( Conestoga wagon bells ) and was found on 1800s land nearby many other vintage Bells buttons coins etc…
So cool!!!
Thanks first time ever finding one like this
@@brandon5853 I think it is so cool to hold a piece of history in Your hands. To imagine the young man that once wore that button. Congratulations on the find!
@@Tsuchikawa-Ishido Yes it is an awesome feeling to find something like this, been finding a lot of cool stuff recently and can only imagine the story of how it was lost , thanks for watching and stay tuned for more
thats so cool
Thanks I’ve found a lot of these buttons now different sizes and designs
Hey just wondering what part of Canada are you in. Thanks eh
East coast , unfortunately the cars here rust out very quickly so very rarely do I see any cars older then 20 years at the junkyard
What part of Canada are you in. Subed and liked thanks ehhh
Hey thanks for the subscribe ! I’m in east coast of Canada , how about you? Cheers
I used to have one of those!! Also I had a 1/3 cent piece 🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥👍🏻
This killed me bruh 🤣🤣
4k max
Cool bro 😎
Thanks
Hell to the nonono
BMW money pit
That must be valuable
This is actually very common can get a similar condition one on eBay for less than $4 but in perfect condition it can be worth $50+
@@brandon5853 try cleaning it
Probably more .. silver ones are seemingly rare and valuable. I can say for sure. I'd variate sources to detect the value. This is primordial American currency. If the value isn't worth it you can donate it to a museum. It has historical value
Nahhhh how!? So that place is a battle field
Seems more like a training ground I’ve found more military buttons than I have bullets / musket balls
Hey Good job I am in Dubai I can provide that parts less than junk yard prices are you able to sell them for business cooperation between us
Krasny klice jsou super
🕉️
we getting into rooms with this one 🗣🤚️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Do people ever complain about where you cut the wires from on the back side? Great watch by the way, I always thought about doing this, however sometimes our market out here for car parts even from the junk yard can be quiet expensive depending on where you go. Thanks for sharing.
No I actually do that on purpose incase the buyer needs both parts of the connector , if they don’t they can simply unplug it , The reason I am able to profit here is because all parts are a fixed price so for example a headlight from a 1999 4 runner is the same price as a headlight from a 2024 mustang , I wish there was more yards like it, but this is the only one I know of in my province, Thanks for watching and for the questions, and don’t hesitate to try it out if you can get stuff cheap it really is as easy as it looks !
Someone recently asked the same question on my previous video, I’ve never had a buyer mention it before though I see including the full connection as a good thing because it costs me no extra and if the buyer was to request the other part of the connector I may not be able to get it at the time of purchase because these vehicles are crushed every few months
@@brandon5853 Thanks for the reply my friend, where are you from just out of curiosity, it's great that you're another country and can flip this stuff as well.
@@SloppySecondz I am from eastern Canada how about you?
@@brandon5853 Northern California Bay Area region of the United States.
Ayyyyyyy I was wandering if you'd be back !
Yep I’m back! Appreciate the support wish I had more junkyards locally because this video is about six months of footage maybe this year I will upload a vehicle auction video and maybe some vehicle part out videos
@brandon5853 that would be awesome I'm hoping you'll possibly do more mechanical parts in the future ? But hey I'm super happy that your still doing videos
@@unknown_5925 Yes good point , I am interested in More Mechanical Parts for sure, If I can purchase a full vehicle to dismantle I will be getting deeper into stripping the car, most of what I see in the yard already has The engine and Transmission sold so I’m often looking at interior parts and exterior grilles etc…, hopefully you’ll see a new upload soon, either junkyard, part out, or project vehicle. Thanks again for your interest in my Channel!
The music?????
The song is called evergreen by morgan kibby, do you think it suits the video? Hard to find copyright free music that isn’t too tacky
Keep it up my man, good watch
Much appreciated thank you!
... on the taillights.... why did you cut the wires instead of just unclipping the connector?.... same again on the cts piece... wtf are you cutting the wires instead of just unclipping the connectors? is it cause you are lazy or are you just trying to screw over others? i dont get it, cutting the wires provides no benefit to you and takes longer than just unclipping the connectors.
So thats just what I’ve always done I cut the wire PAST the connectors on purpose incase the buyer needs both parts of the connector I understand that it’s easier to just unclip them but it’s easier to sell the items when I have that extra part of the wire with them, if someone messages me looking for the other part a few months after I list the item I may not be able to get it for them as these vehicles get stripped and crushed pretty quickly , I appreciate your curiosity and I understand that what you say would in fact be easier yes I’m basically just including the other part incase the buyer has a damaged connector they can rewire it or if not they can unclip it and directly plug it in , cheers
@@brandon5853 cutting on the other side of the connector is smart no added cost to you and benefit to the buyer if he needs it. if you know you know
Exactly 👍🏻
Clean it then show us
This one did not clean up to show any detail still unknown but can date to roughly late 1800s
i think is a chinese hourglass spider
Finding a canadian coin must have been just as disappointing back then as it is today. Now to try and pass it off. Imagine if you had found a US coin that old. You would really have something!
Very cool. This is from th 1800's when Newfoundland was still a Brittish colony, until it Joined the Dominion of Canada in 1949, the last Province to join.
