Skyline Trail ride Gopro Hero 8 May 8th 2020
This guy fails to mention that these hills are steeper than they look if you are a beginner be careful taking on this trail it is super challenging but fun. 🤙
As in very hard climb up or downhill? Thinking of going this week
What app are you using?
How would a beginner know all these directions? Theres no signs, lol.
There are plenty of apps you can use that have maps or videos here on you tube that have good guides
Are there trails without so many non-bikers. Looks annoying always having to navigate them?
What app is that on your cell?
I didn't even know this trail was there
I want to bike bonelli, but how do you not get lost?
By following videos like this one. lol
Do you have a strava link?
Nice ride. Makes me want to jump on a bike now!
Strava Link?
www.strava.com/activities/8360929874
Was thinking of doing this with my gravel bike, until I saw the rocky descent. Probably not a good idea. Any alternate routes by the equestrian center to loop back to the airport parking lot?
What forks do you have?
Fox 36
Marshall Canyon is awesome…. I recommend a good bell with a distinctive ring that always rings to notify hikers, mountain bikers, and especially horse back riders. Hikers and horse back riders will love you for it..
Thanks for the reply. I do use a CBW awareness bell routinely. I remove it only for these videos because they’re annoying to listen to (on RUclips) and guaranteed someone will complain about it.
Awsome video, definitely want to do same ride! Do you have it on Strava with turn by turn details of the turns etc
Nice! What phone mount are you using?
Thank you so much for this!
To be honest, it’s a little bit boring here on the loop, I like riding from Marshall Canyon to potato Mt, views are nicer.
Agreed. I only use the loop for a quick cardio sprint. Oak mesa park to Potato is tough for me.
@@loopedoutmtb3458 just ride on it and you'll get use to it. 😃
@@riveroflife1356 I’ve ridden the top probably 30+ times and Marshall hundreds of times. Doing all of it at once is physically tough but pretty boring imo. If I want a good ride I’d rather ride skyline - Troy Lee trail or Outlaw at Hulda.
@@loopedoutmtb3458 I've just started riding bike 1 and half years, still learning and practicing. I guess you also live in La Verne/Claremont? Probably I can ride with you and learn. 😃
@@riveroflife1356 You're doing good if you can manage a big ride from Oak mesa park to Potato. That's a tough climb! I don't know if you'll learn anything from me I'm a senior citizen but I'll ride with anyone.
It’s not good to mount you cell phone on the bike, it’s very easy to get off you bike especially when crash.
Looks like a great trail .I’m all in .can’t wait to try this one out.thanks 👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
Check back in here after and let us know how it went.
@34:50 that descent is definitely steeper then what it looks like on the GoPro!
What's the con to the Antonovitch trail?
I usually enter through Discovery (Brea side) and reach to 4 corners to the Camp site. After it dries out from all this rain we just got (12/25/21) I'll venture through and try out your route.. Thanks for the Video.
Nice video but you should really yell out RIDER to the poeple hiking .....they will move out the way and not slow you down
Unless they’re wearing earbuds…
Planning on doing the loop this saturday, can I use a hybrid bike with wide tires?
I think you'll be ok for much of the trail, but wouldn't chance the rocky descents.
just started mtb. I don’t have a higher end bike to be completely honest I own a Schwin Sidewinder(starter bike for me) Would you consider this trail for someone more advance? I love this place because it reminds me of my cross country races lol
Most of it would be ok, but there are some rockier sections that might not be a good idea.
Nice ride. Thanks for posting.
Great video…..can you post a Strava link to this ride so I can follow? Thanks
Thanks! Here's the Link- www.strava.com/activities/5452890784
you da man! keep these videos coming! great content!
Nice ride, around Puddingstone
Another great video...thank you for the bike walk around
Do you see a flag pole during this bike ride?
I've never looked for flag poles during rides. Sorry.
Nice! What time does the park opens?
I think 7am to 7pm
Check their website. www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=648
What time do the park opens?
Thanks for showing the full loop this is what I need😉
Actually, recent studies have shown that the ebikers burn more calories which is cause ebikers have to keep cadence high to prevent blowing the motor. I've done that climb on my ebike and it burns (32t/40t)
I’m not buying it, but thanks for watching. 🙂
How long did it take you to complete this on actual time
1hour and 40 minutes. it was 13 miles.
@@loopedoutmtb3458 is there a lot of uphill ? Reason why I ask if like this is someone for being out of shape
@@FROSTY420692002 The Southridge climb is a suffer fest, everything else isn’t that bad.
@@loopedoutmtb3458 I’ll skip that part then lol
Is yours an electric bike
No
4:10 I could never make it all the way up here.
That's a tough little hill!
which phone mount is that?
www.quadlockcase.com/
Love your videos, new to the sport.would love to see a bike walk-around video and gear set up. Keep up the awesome content.
Thanks! I'll see what I can do.
Broooo!! You almost attacked that chick lol
I totally agree with you on the E Bike Topic. I have been biking Chino and Sycamore Canyon Every Day but just had ACL surgery yesterday so I know I am going to wish I had an e bike but I totally pride my self that I can get to 4 Corners without one and get a much better work out.
Good luck with your rehab!
Fun easy loop but it's always too crowded.
This is why I don’t buy an e-bike. Good on you for pedaling up the trails. I do it as well.
How can I find this particular rack?
This is the newer version currently available. www.thule.com/en-us/bike-rack/truck-bed-bike-racks/thule-insta-gater-pro-_-501501
Hey can you post a link where I can find that bike rack? I didn’t see it on their website
Great video, I'm thinking of riding up, I just remember cyclists suffering when I used to hike the loop. The whole time I was wondering why you went up to the right, too rutted and loose. The end was the best!! People acting like rules are merely suggestions.
I went today after being out of town for work all week. Talk about stress relief. That first one is Baby Rattler and the last one is called McTwist.
The kids ride better than me
There are actually people riding UP Wash Out!? During my first time there I accidentally went into that black diamond detour, as a novice rider with a hardtail, it was NOT pretty.....
Seeing someone shuttle up Washout is rare. You're much more likely to see the occasional hiker. My guess is, these people are new to Marshall and don't realize what they're doing. Yeah, that quick steep detour at the end of Washout can be tricky. It's especially difficult after it get rutted from a good rain.
I just did those Zig Zags tonight! It was my first time.
Did you like it?
@@loopedoutmtb3458 I went again today with a camera. I don't think the battery is charging right though.
Also, I believe instead of the hike a bike method to Laguna Lake, you can take a more flatter trail near the fence line on the left.
