That is very therapeutic. Now someone has corroborated the problem I don't feel as stupid as I did. Of course that does not mean I am not stupid, I just don't feel as much like I am. I got a bit of a hiding trying to remove a worm from a classical Minitrix standard motor. Then came the brutalising procedure of putting it back on again, or even just repositioning it after pulling it off a little to get a better puller in place. The great attraction of the old Minitrix motors is, at least where solder is not involved, the brushes can be replaced with doctored Marklin drum commutator type brushes, and the commutator cleaned. Or to be more accurate, I t-h-in-k the Marklin brushes will do, have not finished trying it yet as the worm called a day on it. As it happened it was for a scratch-build and the motor was too hight by not much, but sometimes 'not much' is enough. I don't know how the motor would have gone in the remagnetiser?????????????????????? I greatly miss the motors that could be fully serviced. Found you by chance. Thanks; could talk all day; better shut-up.

Im planning on using a D&H PD10MU, the manual says where to connect a buffer capacitor. Would I still need the Zimo Stayalive Controller? The trains are old H0e Egger Bahn Engines, not a lot of space in there.

I have recently purchased one of your coreless motors for my N Gauge Dapol A1X Terrier and I was amazed how small it is. I am very new to DCC and wish to adapt my Terrier to DCC aswell, but I am so confused even with your excellent instructions how to go about it. I would love to see a stage by stage video on how to do it and parts required. I am not into sound or lights, just good control and smooth running. Eventually I might like to do the same to my old Minitrix locos I have in my collection. Regards Chris
