Cool clip thx
I heard about this old girl a number of years ago now. Is this back in Adelaide now and are they restoring her? Fabulous
Partial restoration, mostly preservation.
@@weirdbikes okay. Thank you
My family had a lot to do with the Maritime industry in Port Adelaide but buggered if I know what this video is about lol
It's been at dock 2 on the barge for 10 years, right near where the One And All docks.
I wonder if they had to get a timber inspection and treatment certificate.
Fabulous!
Toured this ship. worth the effort
That's not a clipper ship. Clippers were flush deck. Look at Cutty Shark. It looks like it has gun ports like 4th rate.
You are correct that the ship was in fact built to carry heavy cargo, unlike clipper ships, however clipper was a vague term applied to any fast ship
Brilliant. We sometimes forget the people doing this project are volunteers 😊😊
Yep, and they've put in a massive effort.
Congratulations to all involved. Incredible engineering reflected in your great video. The team behind the entire journey over many years deserve the sincere thanks of all South Australians.
Agreed, it was a huge planning and engineering great, awesome sight to see.
Great video Tom
Nice work Tom
Thanks 👍
Any chance of remaking this video in '22? Awesome concept
Hook her up to a generator and you could power your house!
Thank you for this fantastic video, Tom. In which month were you on the Troubridge Island?
Respect, it's the only video that explains how to repair it, although the camera is horrible
Did you film this on a potato?
our tent was big anough for all of us to in
Thanks mate
I really love that 4k ultra hd resolution
Wow amazing
Cheers for this vid Tom. I been thinking about taking the missus and kids there for a while but there basically no good video or pics of the place. Sailed past it and fished near it a ton of times when I was younger but never got to stay there. But thanks to this video Im going to take the family there for a few days (when its warmer).
You should buy a bigger tant
Thanks man for making this video. I purchased two gas struts for assisting the lowering of a drop door, not realizing they were only for assisted lifting and not for lowering. Instead of purchasing two dampers (which are much harder to find than a normal gas strut for some reason) I came across this video and it worked great for me in converting my struts to dampers. Just so anyone else reading this knows, my struts were rated at 100N, powerful but I could still close using one hand. I had no problems drilling with a tiny drill bit and there was no extreme gas release or explosion of the chamber - although I was wearing eye protection and a jacket just in case :) Once the hole is made, the force required to pull the damper can be easily adjusted by adding or subtracting the amount of oil that you suck up. Also, I taped mine like Tom said but for added strength I am going to seal the hole with epoxy. Thanks again!
Lilah's stack at 2:35 is pretty funny. Good work Tom. Music suits it well.
haha, lilahs stack at 2:35 :d
What wheels did you use?
I KNOW RIGHT?!?!?!?!
Wlll done mate...a different perspective of Hay.
I don't know if you can tell the difference but a 4 stroke and 2 stroke sound very different, besides that, the engines are both mechanically and physically different. And there are lots of 4 stroke pocket bikes.
@weirdbikes 4stroke on a pocketbike??? i think its 2stroke
go to drift trikes, uku city,nz
@miked351 It's a 49cc 4 stroke from a pocket bike.
@19thstep Haha, yeah, i dug it out looking for more of these trike videos.
holy hell u still hav a camera that takes tapes. THATS AMAZING!!
@classiccarz , Home made, i built it from scratch, I towed it to Hay in June and it was a dream, the car barely noticed it there.
@classiccarz , It was close but it does clear, have a look down my video list for my tilt trailer i built from scratch, much nicer.
Awesome!
definitely has potential!
i think i can see my car in the pits!
@GrueliusE30 Its a 4 stroke which has no trouble spinning the wheels, and it has no pedals so no pedalling at all, and yeah it could go very sideways as the bike steering can turn as far as needed. The rear slides very easy because of the solid axle - no diff of any sort.
Thanks for the offer, but my wife does that for me ;p
fook ya
this is what i call low cost drifting
@scottyBoland 18's, that would be scarey, the 12" put an extra crack in one of the windows already.
lol 120.5 get some 18's and you'll be cranking down the block
I have this great feeling that drift trike racing is going to be the next big thing in a couple more years. If it catches on like pro bmx or skating don't be surprised to see some form of drift trike action in the XGAMES by the end of the decade, I predict it. Im gonna design and build one myself, and maybe come up with some innovative ideas along the way. If there's any groups or websites anyone can refer me to, I'd appreciate it. I want to check out the scene.
@gayan123451 Couldn't say exactly but heres some rough maths - i think i pushed with about 20Lb, against roughly a 1/2 square inch piston, that means it was no more than 80Psi in there, just use one you can compress by hand and the smallest drill you can find.
@WorldsDeepestBass The hole is so small and it was a 2nd hand so the pressure was not huge, i could compress it with one hand.
how come the thing didn't explode when you drilled a hole in it??!! :)
Idk. But I did the same thing today and can confirm it won't explode. Although gas and oil fly out.
thats cool
