It’s awesome to learn Kelly was a One Tree Hill fan and so Andrew was keen to appear on the show! As a big fan of both Andrew and OTH I had already loved seeing The Mixed Tape turn up earlier in the season, but then to have him actually appear and perform on the show was just incredible! Dark Blue gives me chills and only elevated what were some of the most impactful story arcs of that season. It’s so amazing when two worlds you love collide! Another even more unexpected but glorious example of this for me was when Andrew turned up with a co-writing credit on an Elliot Minor song (Tethered), which was exciting news in itself, but then listening to the album I found it was a rewrite of one of my favourite demos (Another Morning) and so I could really feel and appreciate how Andrew had helped Alex (Davies, Elliot Minor frontman) develop (and improve) the song. I wonder if you might cover Tethered some day? I’m loving catching up with this podcast having only discovered it recently!

That Owl City song definitely makes me think of Babies Of The 80s, as do other callback songs such as 40 oz Dream by Good Charlotte, Back To The 80s by Aqua and 1999 (I Wanna Go Back) by Vengaboys. Presumably they are all also fans of Andrew’s early songs ❤

I just found this podcast and as an Andrew super fan, it's exactly the podcast I've been waiting for. I loved hearing how your cohost just fell in love with Andrew's music and how he's always telling people Andrew's his favorite. He feels so famous but no one has ever heard of him in real life.
