Nice job you've done. I just want to share my experience - I did the same thing only WITHOUT de-soldering the chip. I red the BIOS using CH341A programmer, and write the modified BIOS back. Worked fine.

Thinkpad L480でしたが、マザーボードが同じ。 充電が出来なくなってたのですが、J13のジャンパーだけで直りました。 後は様子見。 Thinkpad L490 L590も、ほぼ同じマザーボードです。 ありがとうございました。
