One Inch Magnet Pod
With my Bambu Lab A1 mini I 3D printed a magnet pod for the 8 x 1 inch diameter by 1 inch n52 neo magnets. You will see it hanging at the bottom of the Compass Magnet Motor.
Now with bearings it gets a cruising speed of 540 RPM.
The bearings limit the vibrations but because of that vibration they generate some friction so the Compass Magnet Motor is not going to go at its record speed of 930 RPM.
However we've seen with bearings the bigger and heavier magnets increase the speed of the motor. With 36x 1/2 inch diameter by 1/4 inch magnets it did 360 RPM then with 20x 3/4 inch diameter by 1/4 inch magnets it did 420 RPM and now with 8x 1 inch diameter by 1 inch magnets it does 540 RPM.

Bambu Lab A1 mini Used to Print Compass Magnet Motor
Просмотров 1734 часа назад
I am having a blast with my Bambu Lab A1 mini 3D printer. In this video I show my Compass Magnet Motor which is 3D printed. The X shaped pieces are bearings or guides with simply a hole in the middle for the upper axle and the U-coupling on the DC motor shaft in the middle. The armature is 3D printed with a place for the DC motor that is nicely fitted and aligned, a place for the 9 volt battery...
My First 5 Days with Bambu Lab A1 Mini
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.21 час назад
No problems whatsoever. That sums up my personal experience as a hobbyist using a 3D printer. It was assembled in the box and only required removing 4 screws, tightening 3 screws and putting in two screws to support the spool of filament. As I say in the video I don't know about the terms of service and how Bambu Lab will restrict access to their printers with other software but for a beginner ...
3D Printed Motor Housing on Compass Magnet Motor
Просмотров 144День назад
This motor housing is 170mm by 170mm on the base and twice that in height. It was printed with a brand new Bambu Lab A1 mini 3D printer. That's about 7 inches square on the table which is much smaller than the old motor housing/support structure that was made of 14 inch diameter hoops and an 8 by 10 wood base. It held up pretty well to the motor's vibrations without any signs of falling over. T...
I Bought a Bambu Lab A1 mini
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.День назад
I am a happy camper with this purchase. Prior to this I had several parts 3D printed that I designed and outsourced for more than the A1 mini cost me. The weight of the package that gets delivered for the standalone, which I got, was 22.4 pounds so the printer is a little lighter than that and has a small footprint. Stay tuned:)
Pemetol LED Light Chess Game DIY Kit Build that Did Not Work
Просмотров 128Месяц назад
This was a fun build that should have been simple but unfortunately it didn't work. We poked around it with the meter and touched up some solder connections but to no avail. There is no schematic and the specs we found for the IC are written in Chinese. At a future time we will acquire another identical kit and give it another shot. Stay tuned:)
Compass Magnet Motor Explained and Demonstrated
Просмотров 1 тыс.Месяц назад
The key purpose of the Compass Magnet Motor is to illustrate that the Earth's magnetic field as regards torque is thousands of times more powerful than it is as regards attracting or repelling. In other videos we show that this torque (because it is not a true force couple) can be used to propel a small boat or a satellite in low Earth orbit. Stay tuned:)
930 RPM Compass Magnet Motor with Clamped Bearing
Просмотров 310Месяц назад
Several comments suggested different bearings which gave us the idea of putting clamps on the top of the fishing swivel that serves as the bearing so it couldn't swing around so much. It reduced the vibration quite a lot allowing the motor to reach a top speed of 930 RPM. It could actually be said to be 945 RPM since we didn't count the last half turn in the 2 second slow motion segment that wa...

855 RPM Compass Magnet Motor!!!
Просмотров 701Месяц назад
This time we are using a faster N20 DC gearmotor and a Rayovac Fusion 9 volt battery which is a little more powerful than the Duracell 9 volt battery we had before. We get up to 855 before the Compass Magnet Motor goes out of phase. Out of phase means that the magnets are spinning in the opposite direction from the armature and don't apply much torque. We think there might be some tweaks that c...

Once again the Compass Magnet Motor breaks its record at 840 RPM. This time we moved the 9 volt battery a little to improve the balance of the armature and eliminate vibrations. Stay tuned:)

Probable Magnetic Propulsion Effect with Free Spinning Magnets
how about the waste? Having a lot or not too much?
@laureanoantonio8471 I'm not using an AMS so only one or two purges before each print.
Does mova globe ever stop?? Please reply
I have the Bambu Lab X1C and bought me also the Mini just for fun. And I'm totally thrilled with the little printer. It's fast, works cleanly and is whisper quiet. Such a great device.
Do you have a link to the clamp on basket?
This should be it: makerworld.com/en/models/150638 Note that it had to be scaled to fit on the A1 mini at 90%.
@magneticpropulsion2507 thank you
I love that clamp-on basket, I need to print one. I have a regular A1, it's been amazing, so much easier than my old ender 3, I've been letting the ender rest since I got the A1 LoL
Hi I soldered the same kit. more or less. trying to understand how to save custom stations. auto mode is not the best
Great explorations with the printer! I too recently got one and have been having a blast!
search for bambu lab controversy, you might decide against keeping this printer
return it before it's too late man, look at the bambulab situation with their new software
Great video! What filament type and color did you use?
@meritlas Bambu Lab PLA BASIC grey for first spool and Jade White for next. Also using 0.4mm print head.
Good Job
Great prints! Glad you are having fun! I love my mini also!
WAIT!!!! no fuel except that battery you are using for FUEL! DOH! 🤦🤦🤦♂🤦♂🤦♀🤦♀
Battery is energy. Hydrozene is fuel.
I wish the video resolution were high enough to make out what actually happens in this video :(
Assebled, switched on. But no sound in a speaker. How to diagnose the problem? Voltage comes to VIN.
first time ever trying to solder anything. i put everything together exactly like the instructions say but after i connected the battery pack and flick the switch on the light didn't turn on but the wires to the battery pack would get super hot any ideas on how to fix that or what i might have done wrong?
@jackoberhansley Short circuit somewhere. Maybe step back and do an easier kit and try returning to this kit after that. Also, try a cheap meter and study the schematic. With the meter you can isolate the short.
@@magneticpropulsion2507 thanks ill try that!
Do I need to apply solder to the antenna? or just the screw will do it?
@caiosantos9057 Not 100% sure but seem to recall using solder on it.
! lol !.... 😁
hello i have the same radio, everything seems to work but I can’t get any signal. I tried every frequencies and nothing. What could it be? :(
i tried with earphones and it’s the same. speaker not in fault Could it be a faulty module or bad soldering? 😢
What was the "fn" point here.?
Thanks for watching and commenting on this video. Can you be more specific about what you don't understand or in your criticism? Did you read the description?
It's about using the torque from a compass trying to align with the Earth's magnetic field.
And the torque compared to attracting is thousands of times stronger in so far as they're comparable.
@@YathishShamaraj Magnets are to the physical sciences what the Pythagorean Theorem is to math. They are everywhere and are used in new ways all the time.
Well it kept you occupied for a while. Happy New Year 🥳🎉😁
@GrandadIsAnOldMan Thanks. Happy New Year Grandad.
it could use another bearing, the vibration are extreme
Others have suggested better bearings as well. This gave me an idea. Thanks for watching the video and the comment. Please watch the next video to see how it turned out.
I got this kit as a Christmas gift and I was wondering about the resistors. Mine were not divided up into bags, so I’m not sure which are 5k and which are 10k. Is there a way to tell? Great video too! Super helpful
A very inexpensive meter will work. You can also look up the color codes.
It says no fuel. What battery or electrical power are you using?
@@somenygaard it uses a 9 volt Rayovac Fusion battery. No fuel refers to chemical propellant. It's reactionless.
What? How does this works?
@Aurum_Enterprises Large magnets hanging at the bottom of the armature point north. A DC motor pushes against them causing the armature to rotate.
Cool
Cool. But only the dielectric vortex technology s by Ronald Frederick Sykes has the fastest rate of induction delivering superior levitation for your personal spacecraft 😊
9v battery is fuel
@DJZofPCB Battery is electricity. No fuel doesn't mean no input energy. Fuel is liquid propellant. Also refers to other than this motor.
@@magneticpropulsion2507 As long as you have access to fuel you will have electricity, the components of a battery are not indefinate and have to be replenished
You should use magnetic AC selonoid vibration instead of spin
@@jeffreydani8616 Thanks for watching and commenting on our video. Would you please elaborate?
If you are using this to try and move an object then Actually I don't mean you should go my way to create a selonoid to move the object, it's just a suggestion. You can use spin to achieve the object movement. The key to moving an object is through the normal frequency's smooth flow movement of the object along with a extremely lower frequency which is normally the beat frequency which is extremely lower. It's just like you breathing normally then suddenly you get an hiccups, your whole body suddenly moves differently. Or a normal driving of a car then suddenly it collides with another vehicle. The setup you just did I think correct me if I am wrong is that it only has a frequency and does not have the beat frequency. Please don't confuse yourself with the spin frequency because it's vibrating horizontally. Your two frequency must have vertical vibrations to achieve the thrust in that vertical direction.
@jeffreydani8616 This motor is not intended to create linear translation. It is only intended to rotate. See our videos about the "Virus" magnetic boat for linear translation using a magnet and servo.
even more scarier to watch without a cage haha but incredible again!
scarey to watch without a cage haha. but incredible.
Cool thanks
Thank you too
I wouldnt want to be a passenger on that boat due to the constantly jolting and taking 50 times longer than a ship from the 1700s

What type of application would to use this motor for?
@@sadboinlh1586 Thanks for watching and commenting on video. Possible applications might be something that rotates in water without pushing against the water or spin a satellite or demonstrate properties of Earth's magnetic field in a classroom. To illustrate that Earth's magnetic field is thousands of times greater than commonly believed. Do you have any thoughts for it? We appreciate suggestions.
🤦🏻♂️
Sounds like you're connecting to dialup
Why does this exist? I don't mean this in a mean way I'm just confused. What's it supposed to do? What purpose does it serve?
@@Teth47 The large neo magnets are a compass with substantial torque. A small electric motor turns the compass so it's not pointing north. The compass returns to pointing north but can't because the small motor keeps turning it. The freely rotating platform on which the small DC motor is mounted turns and the magnets stay still. The compass magnet motor is a kind of motor that uses Earth as its stator.
it must be going faster then that
It’s the little things that can make a channel grow, good video.
like what? my channel doesn't grow
see if playing around with a coilgun will help instead ;)
Which model is this? The arm I found on the store didnt have a remote control
i made a motor that went forwards and backwards before, i was gonna called it the impossible motor, i was gonna use 2 opposing pulleys to turn the forward and backward motion into 100% forward thrust.
looks like both coils are closer to us then the magnet is, not all aligned together, if they are both on our side of the magnet, both coils would push the magnet towards the screen (not a spin motion)
mmmm coils need to be closer and magnet needs to be at the same height as the iron cores and the 2 coils need to be 180 degrees from each other with the magnet perfectly align inbetween, obviously without the iron cores the coil can be placed real close
@@doubleooh7337 coils have cores. And it did work better when the coils were held closer to the magnets.
Thanks for the video! : ) Can you modify this to be sound active? Like ... to advance the leds according to beats of the music by somehow add a microphone somewhere in there? I have this kit but if there is a way to solder it with this extra I would.
I know theres a kit available that does exactly this, & the display is near identical, i.e. an array of LED's. (I have one that I'm intending to incorporate into a Geoport). Its on ebay as "LED Music Spectrum Kit Voice Control". Theres a microphone incorporated in the design, actually on the PCB.
