"Super Arnoldino"

Fantastic performance
Herbie is absolutely impressive.
Isn’t it called “THE EYE OF the hurricane” ( by Herbie Hancock) ?
Watching Pat play with these cats is unreal. Dave Holland’s bass work is fantastic, but as an aspiring piano player, watching Herbie Hancock play is nirvana.
Crazy good
❤ this !!
Thanks so much for share. Virtuosos, Blessings.
Pat is my favorite musician ever, started listening to his music back in the early 80's , have most of his live concerts on video, but I will finally get to see him live here in Memphis TN in October of this year.
Me, too. How was the show? Ha! Dumb question. Have seen him five or six times.
Dave Holland : a beast !!
Is that concert on dvd?
Whats the concert name?
This is Herbie Hancock Tune named Eye of the Hurricane
That bass shit!
Jack de
Holy crap.
Unreal talent here!
The song title is Eye of the Hurricane.
Jack always overplays.
"The meeting of the GIANTS"...
what is that concert???
Damn Pat Metheny, Dave Holland, Jack De Johnette, and Herbie Hancock...smoking!!!
"Eye of the Hurricane", by Herbie Hancock.
Wow! Just WOW! Love to see and hear the most gifted players together! Timeless!
🌈🎇💐🌹🌻💚🍀💛💙💜💝❤️🎇🌈
Damn, what a magical performance by such totally amazing talent.
Absolutely brilliant!! Legendary performance. Thanks for posting!
drawing made with a lot of graphite 11:22
some of the best jazz i've heard
Lol ummm have you experienced the eye of a hurricane mr. Hancock? It’s not a blitzkrieg weather-war zone….the eye is absolutely calm surrounded by the worst storms imaginable. The actual eye is serenity itself. But if you’re from NYC ….
8:12 - 9:46 unbelievable bass clinic being delivered as only Dave Holland can. What a player!
Just WOW!
Ist das berbob? Das ist sowas von geil
Firstly, the song is “Eye of the Hurricane,” and it’s a Herbie Hancock original! NOT Pat Metheny!
Thank you!
This whole group is amazing. I just read another poster's comment who has recently seen PM in concert and said it wasn't all that great with the new band. I still would like to see him perform and am definitely hurt that Lyle Mays isn't with us anymore.
Don't believe everything you're told. I saw him last year on February 26 here in Atlanta, and he was brilliant! I couldn't take the smile off my face for a couple days after that show! People need to put themselves in Pat's shoes and suspend judgement just to see how he plays and how he always finds great and even young musicians who can play this music. He's a champion!
Purée, quand la basse envoie, ça envoie !
I visit the city in 2008 bella Langhirano
Wow the pianist is one of the members of the famous miles quintet even the drummer play w them and the bassist to all of them are excellent
Yes, the drummer and bandleader Jack DeJonette and the bassist Dave Holland also played with Miles during the Bitches Brew era. Miles met Jack when Jack was playing with Bill Evans, who played with Miles on Kind of Blue.
When l “grow up” l wanna be JACK!!!
That position might still b taken😎
Doesn't the I look better?
would be about time for a reunion of this group. don’t know if they could still pull it off in such a blazing manner. i saw pat with his new group and it was honestly not cool.
30 years later and this music is still relevant. Thanks for posting!
So is Bird's music, though.
@@skineyemin4276 your point being?
@@hamiltonmays4256 Being...., Bird's playing, his music, and influence has had more years and more impact and still relevant. I mean, my comment was from 2 years ago, so, I'm not remembering my state of mind. Having stated that, those albums and co-compositions w Metheny are still phenomenal and some of my favorite music of all time.
Oh yes, they are like THE FANTASTICS FOUR!!!!!
BESTIA!
Maravilloso. Excelentes. Soberbios..puro talento
Fuck Pat Metheny smashed it!
mamamilla
All brilliant in their respective mastery, but Dave Holland? Holy hell!! What a beast!!
Yes he is!👍🏾🎼🎵🤎
He's always amazing but in this performance he goes double (maybe even triple) beastly! Just the ability to think & perform at that tempo!
I saw this tour when they stopped in Toronto. I also saw Holland play the Montréal Jazz Festival around the same time. I can confirm, he’s an absolute beast. And fearless.
Herbie can also do it!!!
WOW Dave Holland is supreme!!!!
Jack: And has been that great on the bass since at least the late 1960s. One place I really enjoy listening to him is on the Metheny/Holland/Haynes CD "Question & Answer" (which came out in 1989 or 1990).
@@philipclayberg4928 thx for the tip!!!
Tom Tom: No problem. Btw, if you get the CD, read the essay in the insert. It's really well-written.
@Peter Rahill Oh yes, they are like THE FANTASTICS FOUR!!!!!
that's what I thought
The term 'supergroup' doesn't even do justice to this quartet.
This quartet are some of my favorite muscians. Definitely, the top tier of jazz musicians.
@@anthonysmith4449 same!!!
"they are my heroes" ( ... ).
