@@Bookish123-qac it could be different reasons your resin isn’t getting hard. It could be it was not equal parts of A and B, you didn’t mix for the amount of time on the resin package( I tend to mix another minute additional to the directions), it may have not been mix well, it could be the temperature of the room, and has it been at least 24hrs. I have pieces that didn’t cure or was still goopy in the middle don’t get discouraged, try it again. In this video I’m using TotalBoat amzn.to/3Yiy6Uf

I was using another resin , I didn’t particularly love it, the odor was so strong, my pieces would turn yellow, and not always cure fully. I am open to trying different resins though.

Hello, thank you so much, wow 🤯 all the way from Italy. It definitely can be the density of your resin. The longer you let it sit especially a big cup can heat and thicken up. You can pour into smaller cups, use a heat gun or a blow dryer to move those colors around, in the video I’m using a toothpick and popsicle stick to encourage it to move, and pouring clear resin around those lines will help. Heat will accelerate it to curing causing it to thicken making it harder to blend. And for the white I love the castin craft opaque white, the link is in my bio 😉 it works better than any mica powder or pigment that I have tried so far.

Hello. The longer it sits, the thicker it gets which stops it from blending. Different aspects could effect this as well, like the type of resin, how much resin you’re working with, the temperature of the room, and how long you let it sit out. I find that I really only have about 30-45mins to use and that’s from the time I mixed it A and B. Waiting longer to use it will thicken and it won’t blend out but it will also get hot, and start curing, but the heat of my lights could affect my timing as well. My suggestion is to use smaller cups if you want to keep the colors from blending and no heat gun, blow dryer cause that will blend the colors.

Hello, thank you 😊 I’m glad you found the video helpful. The stainless bowls are pretty old they might be a little older than 40 years old 😭. I measured from side to side the opening is about 13in wide with a base of 6in wide. I hope that helps.

Gently press the center down into the bowl or top of the bowl. The resin is not fully cured and is pliable.

Hello. Yes, I basically cut a rectangle and I think the width of the bottom of my shirt measurement I doubled for my peplum and the width was just how long I wanted it to hang. I gathered it to the bottom opening it and sew. Other option is creating a circle skirt

I used a small brush and painted the sides with mod podge and then pressed gold foil. Then I go back and paint a small amount of mod podge again to protect the sides.

Thank you. When the resin isn’t sticky anymore the plastic won’t leave lines but it is still pliable so it is possible if you were to press it hard. When I mold it to the bowl only the lines showed up from the actual mold not the plastic

Yes, but go with a food safe resin.
