Hello, Tracy ~ I think so many are going through some challenging times. My husband had to be transported to hospital last Friday and is still there and will probably have to go to a rehab facility for physical therapy. He had a stroke and didn't even know it. He's been diagnosed with diabetes. I am very thankful that I know God is with us and I have so many praying for my husband and I. I feel very overwhelmed but God is helping me through each moment. This is a different Christmas than we have known before. But, maybe even more meaningful because we know where our help comes from ~ from God. Psalm 121. He is our strength and holds everything in his hands. Praying you feel God's presence this beautiful season. He is Christmas true meaning. Sorry you aren't feeling well. Seems like lots of people are not feeling well. This is a different Christmas for us. We always decorate and put up our tree but I am too overwhelmed to focus on those things that really have nothing to do with Christmas true meaning. Just remember when you are feeling low that God is right there and he cares about every detail of your life and he is there to help you and work everything out.

Hi, Tracy ~ you mentioned another cat in your house. Years ago, we adopted a kitty. We already had a dog and we were sad that they absolutely never got along. We had to get kitty another home because she and our dog were extremely anxious around one another. So maybe Clara is not comfortable with the other kitty. Our fur babies can be more sensitive than we realize. And Clara is older. Sweet kitty.

Yes I always believe 4 ears are better than 2.m friend listens & jots down things that we talk & go over later. Glad you are doing some more perging. I always amazes me after I cleaned out things & when I revisit that area again, after some time, I find more to throw out. Through all these situations, you are moving forward. Love to you always. I am so sorry Tracy that this has happened to you. Once suggestion is when my husband was so sick and going to the all the doc appointments were overwhelming. I purchased a digital recorder. I always asked the doc directly before he started talking if I could place the recorder on his desk so that we could listen to it later and sort through all the info that we had received. All the docs gave me permission and it was a godsend. We would then a day or so later listen to it and be able to sort out the info that was discussed. As you said, it is also good if you have someone accompany you to the appointments, but the digital recorder was the answer for us.

Oh, Tracy, I understand what you are feeling about Clara and I am most definitely asking God to do what is best for your sweet baby, because he really does know how we need HIS comfort and reassurance always. About 2 years ago we lost our sweet pup, Charlie. We had him for 12 years and we were heart broken when he passed in his sleep. We still miss him very much. Sending you and Miss Clara prayers, love and hugs from our hearts to ours.

Hi, Tracy ~ I hope your alternative meds work well for you. I have arthritis in my knees ~ as my friend says, "getting old is not for sissies" and it is true. I will tell you that it is important to keep moving when you have joint pain. I mostly have knee pain when the weather changes. You can google foods that trigger joint pain. I apply CBD cream on my sore joints ~ I've tried all kinds of creams on the market but CBD cream really works for my pain relief. Sometimes I get joint pain in a few of my fingers and the cream really works. I think you are a lot stronger than you think you are. I struggle with anxiety especially in the winter months. I have been praying for you. God cares about everything we are going through and he helps us in our struggles. That's the one thing I know for sure. Through every season in my life, God has been the one I can count on, always.

Hi Tracy....good to see you! I love pimento cheese. I have never had the Joes brand...but I really like the Palmetto brand from Walmart. It is a little drier of a mixture then some. Not as much tang as some, but I really enjoy it! 😋

They have so many things that are unique. We are loving their pizza dough and pizza sauce currently. So easy and very good. I even like their deli turkey breast and cheeses better than any others. When I was working I used Sunday as my day to make food for the week. Put on music and have fun assembling my food. Then freeze them in individual portions, Some items I freeze in zip lock bags and other stuff in glass containers. I can take the glass container out in the morning and carry it to work. I do not like to microwave my food in plastic containers. Somethings that I would do are: quiche, then slice in individual servings before I I freeze, spaghetti sauce and pasta, lasagna soup, .Chicken Cordon Bleu (there is some prep work in this but I would make about 6 chicken roll ups at at time and then freeze, uncooked (did not make the sauce until ready to cook). Chicken enchiladas and use rotisserie chicken (the cats would also enjoy the warm chicken when I brought it in from the car, two easy things to make the night before and not freeze is tuna salad and add sliced hard boiled egg for more protein,(I usually hardboiled several eggs at a time to have on hand for a quick protein snack) chicken salad from rotisserie chicken and add sliced apples and roasted walnuts before serving. I have continued this routine to some extent since I retired. I was always amazed at how my colleagues would go out to lunch everyday. that expense is about $250 a month and the food you get is not very healthy

Tracy ~ I must have missed something ~ not sure why you can't get your meds? Praying for you, sweet lady. Sounds like you are struggling with some physical issues. I get that ~ I have arthritis in my knees and one of my shoulders and some days are harder than others. I'm very glad you and your roommate are comfortable together. God's taking care of you, no matter how you feel some days. No one cares more about us than God does. I have lived long enough and gone through enough to know that sometimes we go through struggles to realize how much we need God to guide our life. I'm thankful I have his hope in my heart. All we have to do is look around and realize all the suffering and things happening in our world that we don't understand and for me, my faith in God is how I have any peace of mind at all. He gives me strength and lets me know it's gonna be okay because He is in control. I'm not talking about a religion. I'm talking about a personal relationship with God. The struggle is real as they say but God is where our help comes from. Psalm 121

Hi, Tracy~ You don't mention your room mate much, do you eat/make meals together? I have knee arthritis and I use CBD cream for pain and it is the best thing I have found to relieve pain. It really is okay to not be okay sometimes, Tracy. Praying for you and I know that no matter what we are going through, he is the one we can always turn to, always.

The public library is one of the very few government agencies that a person can walk into the building or call on the phone and speak to a real live person! Do you realize how amazing that is in this day and age where so much is automated?!! A public library has so much to offer, not only materials to check out or access on-line for learning and enjoyment but libraries offer a place to meet with friends, colleagues, engage in fun activities, etc. Not all countries have this and we are truly blessed in the U.S. to have access to so many free services that public libraries offer.

Tracy this was such an interesting and heartfelt talk. Thank you for sharing some of your story. We all have one right...but sharing it with us and others is a real gift. I admire that. ❤ I have had some similar experiences myself when growing up at this age.

I know exactly how you feel. It wasn't until I was 49yrs old & lost my husband when a doctor put me on meds to increase my serotonin. It was after that that I realized that if I took these meds when I was young, my life would have been so different in a good way.
