"science says he's male" "No, Quinn has gender dysphoria, her assignee gender is not what she identifies with" Sorry to be that guy, it's definitly accidental... But he did say "Male" which is a sex not a gender, besides, asserting "No" as if he was wrong followed by "has gender dysphoria... Doesn't identify with her assigned gender" proves his point, you can't say he's incorrect by going on another subject and proving he's correct... "Identifying" yourself is not objective, it's the litteral definition of subjective, concepts have common ground for a reason, and the activists themselves claims sex and genders are to be differenciated, because they do not identify with their assigned gender doesn't mean their sex isn't another, it litterally means exactly that The assigned sex is what the sex is, because they identify otherwise doesn't mean it magically changed... It just means they IDENTIFY otherwise from the gender identity of the gender tied to sex, it may be confusing at first, but it's really not that complexe, they refute the way they feel about themselves compaired to the awaits/stereotypes put on them about their genders based on sex It's what gender incongruence is, it is the feeling to not be compatible with the awaits/stereotypes from their assigned sex's gender and their feeling about what they view themselves as gender dysphoria is when a gender incongruence causes distress or incomfort and becomes pathological Further thing i learned in psychology was that the définition of gender dysphoria at the time (in 2018 or so) was that "anyone above 2 of age who doesn't understand that their sex is immutable has gender dysphoria", it's very speicifc and may now be obsolete, those kinds of science evolves rapidly but i wanted to provide this information to show that it's not always as dichotomic as activists or politician shows, people arn't inherently evil or hateful bigots, some have different views on methods, risks, results, and they more often than not mean well for those people, they criticize what is done to them, but because it has been shown as an identity trait, or their identity itself, it makes them defiant, thinking it confronts the very person they are, therefore it is "transphobic" when most people are against transitioning, not trans identity actually... And why does it matter to make these differebces ? Because there exist in this world, things called "Syndroms bond tl culture" which makes people with differing cultures have different pathologies, how is it relevant ? Because if culture is an important modality to consider, we also know have less physiological differences between a male or female of an ethnicity to same sex of another ethnicity than a male and a female of the same ethnic group And guess what is very important for medical or psychological procedures ? That's right, your very biology

Now because my comment was too long i put another one below and that is only my opinion, i went to psychology university for 3-4 years in Caen - France, where we studied this subject along others, i am not a professional nor am i updated, but what i know is this subject has been a thing for decades, where established knowledge met ideology too many times, biasing experiments to go for transition and more, yet every results lead to non conclusive or worse designs... It has a clear mutilation impact on one's body that is undeniable, claiming we can just go backward as if that didn't modify one's structure to ram through it all over again, is shown as only and therefore best method and stats still drops today, showing it was never actually fully understood on the risks or success, people even advocated for it before, during and after my trip to university where professionals litterally claimed only those who wants money or who have false sense of heroism and agrees to their demands to "relieve with placebo" agreed to doing this, now, if it works, i'm happy for them i demand nothing but that, i however can't in good spirit claim i know it's good, i sure lack more informations, but i also know very well it has been politcized and instrumentalized over actually caring for people's health, we cared about their feeling, what they want, rather than need And for activists who are very picky on using genders, anyone with minimum intellectual honesty knows common ground and general population idioma, we refer to men/women as adult human male/female, we simply don't go around saying "oh, nice female over there" as it is viewed as penorative, binding a person to its primitive form, also, inducing trauma on others is cruel, making them avoid deadnames or wrong gender calls, created in them ptsd similar to fucking war veteran, we know making something be felt like a traumatic thing, conditionning them to have traumatic answers like giving them safe space or fleeing or having confrontation skill issue and low resillience causes trauma or worsen them, i do not have the ego to claim intentions equate to actions, you want to protect them so much you made them weak to water drop, when it rains they, rather than endure it, live it as traumatic experience, being wellwilling is also learning to say no, as for masculine or feminine which defines yet other things in social construct... I we use it with more precaution as it doesn't define a sex or gender per say, but behaviors or expressions, so we know, that when we refer to gender it has an implied tie to sex and gender affirming care even presents surgery or hormonal treatments to modify your look to correlate with the gender's attributed sex, so it would be hypocritical to claim the opposite, on traumatic stuff again, i believe it is very noxious to have made "diseases" or "pathology" a part of one's identity to the point where anyone who claims you could seek treatments are considered people who are against your identity, those are part of your life, and could affect who you are in both personalities and identities, but shouldnt be what defines you, much like for sexual preferences or paraphilia or ethnicity, it isn't a personality trait that is relevant to define who you are as a person, otherwise you'd prove the point of racism, sexism and stereotypes, but if you can cure a distress or situation of handicap, you definitly should consider it as constructive and well intented, some people who seek attentions also appropriated pathological behavior to fake those and seek attention, proving at least that it does get particular attention but showing how bad making it "cool" or a "shtick" about someone's personality or identity, another thing is if that if that's a social construct, then it still has a definition, that we somehow see the advocates fail to provide but it also means, you should know what defines what is assigned to you and what you identify with, which, can you ? And that's another thing on people who identify as non conceptualized neologism as if it was a gender itself, what do you then identify as ? What is it's social construct, it's role, what changes about who you are or how does it define you best and i'm not talking about it sounding cool next to your name, and, yes, if you can assert gender a social construct, much like every concept as we made them ourselves, it still does refer to a reality or commonly shared concept, social gender roles or stereotypes are the social construct which you may differ yourself with, it doesn't mean you should consider changing your very structural integrity in order to feel different or feel like yourself or consider yourself differently from who you already are to begin with, a mentality, identity, state of mind, personality, isn't tied to how you look, that's a litteral stereotype, we know factually that "gender dysphoria" is pathological as anything which causes a distress is considered such "gender incongruence" is when it doesn't cause distress, as for how a distress is percieved, no matter what it is, we know it's a mind thing, not the body that's wrong but your perception that doesn't accept it, much like anorexia, we don't propose liposuction because they identify as fat, doesn't mean they are either, and would be cruel to do so, you were not an error when you were born and there is nothing more loving to say than that, rather than yes, you should change because something's wrong with you... And perhaps, as you identify differently, you would view it otherwise, that they accept you as who you choose to be as who you actually are and the others who accepted who as you actually are denies who you chose to be, and changing physically doesn't guarantee to modify the mental distress, it should be obvious, and so should be obvious the fact it's not hateful to say all of this, in fact it's trying to help, people has politicized this and it makes much more money this way, they use those people in vulnerable position as pawn to fight whoever criticizes the methods while they gain money over it, and spiritualize (claiming the mind is who you truly are, therefore, what you think could never be biased {even tho it is litterally possible and most likely the case, mostly when in Münchhausen cases or other manipulations that one's mind is submitted to} so the body must change as it's reality is false or wrong, whereas a conceptualization where you think you do not fit from a SOCIAL CONSTRUCT makes you decide to change your very anatomy) or politicize to make it an ideological thing, rather than a social or medical important issue Now i hope it makes both sides understand better the other, point of view differs and its very hard when you don't see the other's angles and considering i am not affected by this pathology i can't really claim to understand it better but the opposite is also true, don't think everyone wants to be against you, you're not the problem, the discussion is mostly on the ethics behind the methods and the lack of transparency as well as, in my opinion, the intellectual dishonesty of ideological activists which consciously ignores common ground and use patients as soldiers
