So, that is mica powder. Those are nail chrome powders (basically the same thing). I didn't show it in the video, but when using a surface treatment such as powders, paints, pigments, inks, etc., you must use a sealer on it. Just plain polymer clay doesn't need a sealer, but surface treatments do most of the time, but there are some exceptions ❤️ If you ever have anymore questions, feel free to comment, or follow me on FB & IG, then you can message me anytime you like. ❤️❤️❤️

@@kerryhall7506 hi Kerry 👋 thank you very much! I'm so glad you like them. Definitely one of my favorite collections 😃
Hey Lovely From Australia 🇦🇺 I Absolutely Love Your Flowers,What Thickness Do You Roll Your Clay On When Making Flowers Please & Thank You💕🙏💕🙏💕🙏💕
Hi Kerry. Thank you so much! I'm glad you like them & i hope you enjoyed the video. ok, so the thickness of the clay is one thing that determines the size of your flowers. For a larger flowers, you need a thicker flower and/or larger cutters. you just have to experiment. In this video I think my clay is on 6 or 7... 9 is my thinnest. The cane petals are just whatever thickness I cut them. thank you bunches!
Also note that some pigments/glitters will change color in the sun. I know pinks are very sensitive to this. The resin will yellow and the pink will wash out, giving the combination a very orange/amber final result.
@@ciomaria6137 that's a good point! Especially with alcohol inks. Alcohol inks fade quite a bit. I think they'll fade over time even if not in the sun. Then again, so will polymer clay in the sun. If you make plant pots, plant identification sticks, decorative bird houses, or just decorative hangings...the colors will fade from being outside in the sun all the time. 💗
That is NOT a jump ring it is a split ring…educate yourself…teach the RIGHT terms…and WHY are you asking for donations??…sad
Thank you for your comment. ❤ Not exactly sure what you're referring to, but regardless I didn't use a split ring because I hate using split rings & therefore don't own any (except really large ones for keychains). There would be no reason to use a split ring instead of a jump ring in any of the applications that I demonstrated in the video. As far as educating myself... I've spent the last 7 yrs doing just that. I've studied polymer clay & jewelry making almost daily. I've owned & operated a business, & worked as a professional artist for the last 4 years. My work has been published & I'm an award winning artist. I've been teaching polymer clay for the last 1½ to 2 yrs. Now, that being said...I definitely make mistakes because I'm human. I definitely don't know everything about polymer clay & jewelry making...because I'm human. I may have called it a split ring by accident, although I doubt it because as I said, I don't really use them. If I did accidentally call it the wrong name, then I sincerely apologize that I didn't measure up to your expected level of professionalism & perfection. I'd love to watch your videos...would you link them for me? We can all learn from each other. As far as donations... Many channels that offer free tutorials also accept donations from people that want to kindly say "thank you". Making tutorials is very time consuming & somewhat expensive, as I'm sure you know. It also takes time away from my business, which is how I make a living. I don't have a paid channel membership or a Patreon account. I don't even have the "Thanks" button enabled on my channel. So, I leave a link to my PayPal so that people can leave a thanks, tip, donation, whatever you want to call it. I'm so very grateful to all the people who've so kindly donated to me & my channel to help offset the cost of making free tutorials. If you have any other questions or comments, please feel free to leave more comments. All likes, dislikes, shares, & comments...they all help my channel become more successful...even the really mean & nasty comments!!! So, thank you for helping boost my video. I sincerely appreciate it 💗 Could you leave me a time stamp from the video of what you're referring to? I'd really like to see where you thought I used a split ring, or where I called it by the wrong name. Thanks 👍
Yes, see more, please.

@@madebymellyjewelry hehe, so true 😆
I completely understand the sentiment of the items turning yellow. Especially if the item is white. And even though it's unnerving to you that the color items you presented here with the slight yellowing, they actually looked great--except that last one....yikes! I stumbled upon your vid because the uv resins and lamps I'm using aren't curing at all...ugh.. Not sure if the 2-part type of resins are a good option for me. Too impatient with the wait time. Stumbled upon another vid highlighting the Modge Podge dimensional magic. It's a non-toxic option. Not sure how it holds up on polymer clay though. All the best to you. Thank you for your input & video.
Thank you so much! I've gotten to where I really like the 2 part epoxy. I'm like you, I always thought I was too impatient for it so I opted for the UV. I was also a bit intimidated by the mixing. Now, I'd take the 2 part any day! I get a MUCH nicer finish with the epoxy than I ever did with UV. It just looks smoother & it doesn't warp the clay pieces like the UV resin does. Anyway, I'm so very glad that you stumbled upon my video...maybe you can check out some of my tutorials. I hope you'll like them, decide to subscribe & stick around! ❤️🥰😘 Thanks for commenting ❤️

Hi From Australia l Absolutely Love The Sugar Skulls And Thank You For Sharing This Very Helpful Technique 💕💕💕💕💕💕
@@kerryhall7506 hi 👋 Thank you for such a lovely comment. I really appreciate it.
Maybe wire wrap and then stick the stem in?
@tarapiglet yes! You could do it that way, like make the wrapped loop & then add it. That will only work if you're using a jump ring. Or, if you added the bail on first. Personally, either way, I prefer the 3rd method & just avoid the wire wrapping all together 😂 As you saw...it's not my best skill 🤣 Thank you so much for supporting my channel by watching & commenting ❤️
Love those pink flower petals ❤
@debbiegaines1362 thank you! She's one of my favorites too ❤️
You could press the wire onto an ink pad & then press onto the backing before placing the Wasabi. Carve out the area where the wire would sit, and then add liquid clay & backing.

In addition to acrylic turning yellow. Something else that may be on the horizon is that many are now using alcohol inks to color their lay or to paint on clay . . . And while it is extraordinary beautiful, alcohol inks fade quickly and considerably, which means a lot, to where you see hardly any color. I wondered about taking product to shows and displaying them in the sun, and you answered that question. Sorry that happened to you. Some pieces still looked good in their new colors, but yes I would definitely sand them down and re-use them.
@@sharilee4412 I'm so glad it kept you from ruining yours by putting them outside at a show. Yes, alcohol ink fades quickly, so I've heard. Probably faster in the sun, same as resin yellowing. I don't really use alcohol inks or translucent clay, so I don't know from experience. I don't really wanna find out 🤣 Thanks for watching & dropping a comment ❤️
