This really helped me. I'm right now focusing on health (physical). I was thinking about GC school, but I also feel like right now I'm not sure if I want that, because I am doing work with an advocacy organization and also I have plans to shadow my doctor, after I am done with the surgery. This really has helped me see the pros and cons.
I'm so glad it was helpful! Good luck :)
Did you apply to med schools in Chicago?

How expensive is it to go to Brown? For a student from an average income family. Won’t qualify for need based.

insane video. Really helpful. I was planning to apply to Harv, Princeton, and Caltech but now I am not gonna apply there because I realized I don't genuinely them
hi! I am currently writing my Why Brown essay and got this question: the available courses offered on website now are only classes for 2025 spring, so what if the courses (2025 spring) I am interested in, and are also included in my essay, are not offered during 2025 fall?
Hi! You can still mention them, as they are still offered. Some classes are just naturally only offered in one semester, like the spring in this situation.

I´m about to apply to Brown EDI for fall 2025, I can´t believe how close the date is. This video was very informative and cemented how much I wanna get in. Fingers crossed! Thank you for the vid!
omg GOOD LUCK!!!
@@cecilesch THANK YOUU 🥹
watching this 4 years later as a sophomore also taking ap seminar and apush 😅 school only recently started so i don’t have much to base my opinion, but honestly ap seminar was not what i was expecting at ALL, there’s basically no guidance and i’m already lost. but i honestly have been more interested in history now that i’m taking apush! when i took world history last year it was kind of boring to me, mainly because we just skimmed over topics so the fact that apush is more detailed makes it a lot more interesting. trying to study is a bit nerve racking though, i have my first quiz soon and i hope i can do well

I assume you graduated this year. Congratulations for both getting in and out of Brown 😭🥹🤍✨

Hi Cecile! you mentioned that you’re going for medical school, so why didn’t you apply for PLME?
Hi! I think the program is such a nice guarantee & def was a huge weight off of many of my PLME friends’ backs. I just wanted to have options for medical school (for financial, location, curricular opportunity) reasons instead of committing myself to staying in Providence so early!
It's my senior year and I'm stressed out
its crazy how I found your channel in the 9th grade and see you talking about MY CLASS, the class of ‘29 is so insane… 😭😭
omg that’s WILD! good luck this year ❤️❤️❤️
you make me so proud!!! thanks for all cecile!!
Hi! I would definitely love to see a video on drafting the personal statement.
noted!:)
I loved this video -- reminded me of how I felt when I was accepted to Brown many, many moons ago 😋
the cutest ever❤🩹
Thank you so much for making these videos! (also very random but you sound like Sofia Carson lol)
Of course!! and I’ve never gotten that before, I’m going to go look her up LOL
Good luck with medical school applications! My brother went to the Alpert medical school at Brown and absolutely loved his time there. Apparently it has a great sense of community.
I’m so glad he loved it there! Thank you:)

Why not take any physic classes?
Browm Medical school PMLE is literally the dream, no MCAT!
My cousin took AP Chemistry in Sophomore year. Right now 8 years later, he thought that it was too early and he wasn't ready. He studies everyday until 11PM without 6 days out of 7 per week and still only got a 3 on the exam. But it wasn't completely horrendous; he still had quite a bit of fun.
How? Must be studying in a horrible way, most people don’t study like that and can get a 4 atleast
@@dominusdone5023 He told me that he mostly used Amoeba Sisters, Khan Academy, and flashcards to study. For complicated concepts, he looked for practices online to make sure he understands it all. But I think science just wasn't his best subject back in the day.
Bro that insta id is even tough to read
Could you give some advice for transferring to top tier universities like Brown and Cornell?
What’s the best to chose extracurricular activities for med school? Can’t wait for your med school vlogs!
I will def make a video about this but I think the main thing is addressing the core categories they look for in applications so clinical exposure, volunteering, research, and leadership -all in addition to academics and the mcat of course. There’s a lot of unsaid rules in medicine, like the expectation to have done research, but a lot of it can be seen when you look at each med schools class profile. So, if you’re planning on going to an academic program, it’ll likely be more research heavy, while a community based program would want more service. Thus, I think it’s best to hit those four big bases just in case you don’t know where you want to apply yet! Thus, a lot of my ECs started there and then I tried to add when I could but really found it tough to make time for more fun ECs :(
Good luck with your med school app process. And your job sounds super cool!!!
thank you!!
Keep up the good work ❤ما شاء الله
